yes, my threads were already created upon them attacking shark, but then by stating they had tags laced along them, the most basic common sense would assume i attached them then, and then as they wound round him or continued in his direction, they would get closer. if i've stated they had tags on them, you can't just decide the non-existance of them, and they specifically say the moment my threads began to cocoon him, they'd explode, suggesting that more thread needed to be expelled in order to get them closer.

furthermore, in response to the acid, his post merely stated his arm was acidic. hozuki can liquify certain parts of themselves, and therefore, can make either certain parts of themselves, or their whole body, acid. he said nothing whatsoever about anything other than him reaching out with his arm as it liquified to touch the few threads that he could.

but really, he had to call him a bm? i'm not a fighter, and i don't particularly enjoy it, especially this pedantic aspect that so often comes up.


i'm just not in the mood whatsoever, and if he would like to continue arguing the point, then i'd rather not participate in the battle. x

All in all, the best thing to do with this current situation (as Shinryu hasn't replied to Tenkai's post) is to allow it to play out as it has, simply because it's resetting everything for you two in particular. This is only my opinion, as I gave Naga free reign to pass judgement on this thread.

Furthermore, I'm well-aware that fighting usually comes with a bit of OOC nonsense. Some people are cool with dealing with it - others aren't. If either of you have no desire to be here due to Naga's ruling, you're more than welcome to forumalate an escape rather than post with another attack.

I hate to sound like a hard ass, especially when this event was created for people to have fun, but when someone's character's life is on the line - in this case Sharkk's - I have to be. Ty and I spoke about this prior to Sharkk even requesting me here, and the ruling I gave was made to ensure everything was fair for both sides. It may have been a setback for you, but in the same sense that Sharkk has to respect others with being more clear, you need to respect that everyone just wants to have a fair fight.

Like Genbu said, I'm enjoying this fight and I'd hate to see one of you leave because of a small problem. However, I'm not going to allow someone to lose their character due to something so extremely vague (Sharkk and the technique itself - it isn't explicit in where/how the effects take place) when the whole point of this was to encourage interaction between people.

If you want to leave, feel free. Otherwise, my decision stands. My initial decision is going to remain up, but all the other OOC posts need to be deleted. Lets keep this thread free of them, shall we?

So, if this can't be resolved here, gonna ask Naga to make a ruling. Hopefully we can come to a mutual understanding though, because I'm sick of the condescending attitude.

Now, I've asked Genbu himself about Tenkai's Spikes, and he mentioned that one should be able to side-step out of the way if the opponent leaves a loophole, because they're not instant. Now, you did leave a loophole Tenkai. You stated you made them just as I started running, which means I'd still have the ability to shift my weight from my first footstep of the run and change my momentum. Since they were all coming in from right in front of me, that means there would be none on my side, leaving me able to escape from that direction.

As for Daisy's thread, I'll admit, I ignored it, and I'll be fine with taking the hit, but by her own words, she launched the attack as she saw me running. Because of the attack that Tenkai launched, I was forced to change the entirety of how I reacted. I did still run, however, so by that alone, it's true, the web would hit me. However, I don't think it's logical to assume that it would hit me until I was running, which I didn't get to do until I was on the ice tiles.

There are two reasons for this, the first being the obvious, I wasn't running until I placed my feet on the tiles, Daisy's post mentions seeing me running into the threads.

The second is also the fact that with all of the pillars sprouting up in front of me, I have doubts that my ankles would be visible to Daisy at that point to hit with the web, unless I was elsewhere.

That's where I'm coming from, and I'm fine to roleplay it out that way. I don't mind taking hit when it's logical to do so. Tenkai, I think your spikes move slower than you think they do, but you can talk to both Genbu and Naga about that for clarity's sake if you want.


There's no need to turn this into a heated dispute, but the both of you need to knock it off with the chiding if this is going to be resolved peacefully. Disrespect isn't going to get any of us anywhere.

Feel free to post up your thoughts, and we can discuss this like rational adults, instead of slinging shit in the C-box.

My post was entirely IC. It was simply explaining to you, from an IC point of view, how things happened. It didn't give you any option at all. It was simply a fact-by-fact listening of what happened, and how your defense to the demon twin's assault was incorrect.

Even thought the dispute was resolved, I wanted to clear the air about that. Furthermore-- you need to fix that in your profile. As Naga pointed, you aren't even supposed to have Souin at S-rank (your exp doesn't add up).[/justify]

As for the whole deal about district [2], I'm going to give a ruling. The only reason I put it on Naga in the first place was to avoid anyone being able to say I was showing favoritism, but I'm confident you all know me better than that.

[/b] Those crystals aren't instant. It takes time for them to come out of the ground, and considering that the technique doesn't increase the speed at which they protrude from the ground (d x 1'000 = d x 1 in case of speed), that fact can't be disputed. Tenkai is free to say that they came fast; however, it's a low-ranking technique. That means, no matter how you describe them, it isn't going to be blindingly fast. The techniques are, more so than not, judged accurately.

And before someone mentions shunshin, as I've said, they're more than often judged according to how potent the technique is. Shunshin is a high-speed movement, sure, but it's usually just to get from point-a to point-b. You can't attack while you're doing it - you just move. It's also available to every ninja.

In this respect, these crystals are unique but are relatively weak in the order of the Crystal Release. It's ranked low because it's a very easily avoided technique, despite being able to be relearned. That'd be like trying to kick him in the face when he started to run - he'd easily be able to evade, see?

2. The major problem with this thread is that you guys are too focused on trying to get a one-shot, and in an attempt to make your post air-tight you're making more openings than any of you realize. For instance: making the crystals a yard in front of him the moment he began to dash means that he wasn't entirely dedicated to the forward movement, and he would easily be able to side-step however many you made unless it's a wall. Judging from your post, Tenkai, the handful you made in front of him converged to a point in an attempt to slam into his chest.

3. Daisy's webs are aiming toward his ankles. Considering in her most recent post, where she completely ignored the crystals, her threads would've essentially just smashed into them. Tenkai's technique would've effectively cut her partner's webs off from her target.

Moreover, in the time it will take her to move her threads in an attempt to snare him while he's climbing his ice steps will give him more than enough time to notice them and deal with them should they still pose a problem.

It should also be noted that manipulation of these threads aren't going to be pushed. I don't see anywhere in the technique that it says you can manipulate each individual thread, which would be virtually impossible anyways. From what I'm gathering (and what I've seen in the show), you're shooting out a pillar. Can this pillar break down into sections? Yes, however, manipulating each individual thread (which would be in the thousands, perhaps millions) would require concentration beyond recognition. I'm not trying to say that you're doing that, Daisy, but I wanted to make sure that it was clear something like that wouldn't be allowed.[/ul]
Most importantly, all of you need to stop this "reacting the second" something is done shit, because it's just causing more problems than any of you need. Interrupting non-stop isn't going to get anyone anywhere, honestly. These aren't normal people - they're ninja, and thus reflexes are beyond your average. You need to keep that in mind during this next round of posting.

You're supposed to be having fun, not trying to demean (again, not saying any of you are) the other's post and prove how much of a better fighter you are. I've already been approached by one of the participants who really just wants to leave, because it's turned more into a cock measuring contest than an actual event (for that specific district).

Daisy's webs would not hit my crystals because Shin made my crystal's diameter be 4 inches, remember? So AFTER her webs hit him, I created new crystals to bind him with NEW dimensions. He would have never gotten the chance to use his jutsu, and in his situation he was unable to properly defend from the multiple bindings. Honestly, I can't be bothered anymore. You made a rushed verdict just to make him "allowed" to dodge it, which is stupid because it was his THIRD time trying to evade it by just "barely" moving aside. And when we finally got him, he is somehow allowed to still dodge?

Round 1

The very moment he let himself fall, my threads were tearing through the air towards him, already out and moving from dealing with the men before. Ten meters was no distance whatsoever, as my threads could easily triple that length, and free falling in midair as he was, there was really not much chance of him avoiding them. Laced along two of the threads were exploding tags, and the moment my threads touched him and began to rapidly cocoon his body, they would go off, blowing the man to smithereens.

The very same moment that Hayline had saw the other woman use such an ability at such an incredible speed, another shinobi had apparently walked into the battlefield in plain view of the duo. He was standing a few feet away from where the red-helmeted shinobi would have landed, however it appeared as though the two foes were common allies among themselves.’Two on two, eh?’ As soon as her apparent partner had used her ability, Hayline had already began to formulate the required handseals needed to use her jutsu. It would take only but a moment to use such a lower ranking technique. Thanks to her extensive knowledge over her kekkei touta, her technique would be birthed to life at once with great proficiency.

Several crystallized pillars would sprout from directly under the other shinobi, no matter his position on this battlefield thanks to her wide range over her skills. The pillars would quickly bind themselves at an angle all along his feet and arms, disabling him from using any movement or handseals. A total of six pillars would be used to keep his arms bound to his side, as well as his legs completely stuck in place. The shinobi would feel an uncomfortable amount of pressure against his limbs as they were tightly crushed against his body. Had her attack been successful, she would appropriately continue her dominance over those two foes.

This is the initial wave of assaults from both Daisy and yourself. It can be considered the beginning of the right, as both Shark and Shinryu are there. Considering we can’t say that shit automatically connects with our opponents, this means that they’re allowed a defense.

as his free fall/decent to the ground below began he'd witness what kind of fighter his would be opponent was. one who would take any type of advantage they got. she must have thought fumito was your average shinobi, thus he wouldn't be able to avoid her simple attack. in his mind he began his own processing of what he would do. and in no time he'd have it planned out. quickly adjusting his liquid existence fumito would stretch forward his left arm to meet her her threads which had exploding notes at the tips of said threads so that they'd meet fumito's acidic hand. which altered itself to add powerful acidic properties to it before his limb even began to stretch. easily capable of eating away the most durable of steel, the threads and tags attached to their ends (wasn't specified where, but the end just makes sense obviously) would've seemingly vanished, broken down to harmless particles that fast. there wouldn't have even been time for the tags to erupt, not that it would've mattered. knowing that the threads would've been useless, incapable of posing a threat to any movement he desired, a single leap would've placed him an additional handful of meters to the south (away from the women). catching the voice of shinryu as he did such he'd choose to stay ranged, effectively away from the female that had so cheaply attempted to attack him.

It might have only taken an instant for my foe's technique, but by the time it would have struck where I was, I was already in a full run, three meters ahead, flourishing first a single kata, and a swift exhalation, (I was running after all) then with that jutsu finished, unleashing a longer string.

This is the opposing team’s defense. If either of you two had a problem with his defense, you should have requested a BM. Instead, both of you took it upon yourselves to post a response saying how YOU viewed their defenses were inadequate.

In fact, you both went along with their posts and attempted to counter it with your next moves. We aren’t arguing how your original set of crystals missed. It’s obvious – he said he was already moving, and even in your follow up post (which I’ll show) you went along with it.

let a few of my threads peel off from him and veer to the side. His companion appeared to have run straight forwards, from behind the helmeted man as he was, and as such, had run straight into my path. Two threads grabbed his ankles, snaring his progress, should i catch him. As delicate as they looked, they were as strong as steel, and he would find continuing whatever actions he had in mind rather difficult. And it appeared he had a great chain of events in mind, judging by his weaponry and handseals, giving me plenty of time for my threads to grasp him, particularly considering how hard they were to see.

Once her opponent had decided to RUN forward in a STRAIGHT line towards her, she would SIMPLY conjure up yet MORE pillars to sprout directly in front of the moving ninja, BINDING him from all around his moving position. Since he was clearly charging forward, it would be very easy for her to just create more a mere yard ahead of him to cause the pillar to smash directly into his chest, and subsequently the other pillars would also slam against his arms and legs to bound him.

So, I’m going to bold this to make it really obvious for you Tenkai: Hayline is looking right at both of them, so she would clearly see him the moment he started to run; like everything else you did, you did it the "moment you noticed him." Trying to be a fast and clench a win, you made your crystals pop out in front of him (a yard in front of him). Considering he was already fifteen feet behind Shark, this means that they WOULD BE IN FRONT OF THE WEBS. One technique has to travel while another is simply there.

Regardless of what Shinryu thinks, his ability to change the size of those crystals that you created isn’t valid. Since you, as the caster, didn’t do it (which you should have) it falls into a generalized idea. Tiny little crystal threads aren’t going to be able to snare him. Judging from the description when you thought you had him the first time, these crystals are fairly decent in size.

It comes down to the fact that you converged them on a point to hit him in the chest, which would naturally make their surface area smaller. I thought I was pretty thorough in my previous explanation, but if you need me to break this down with pictures and shit, I can.

I’m not going to bother quoting the next round of posts, because all four of you simply RESTATED your previous posts. Instead of using IC as a mask to post OOCly why your opponent failed and try to 1up people, you should’ve stopped trying to pump your egos up and requested a BM. All you guys did was run in a circle for an entire round.

Considering his initial dodge to both attacks was valid, this wouldn’t be the third time he’s trying to dodge. Again, all you did was simply waste time and repost the same shit, even though that moment had already passed. You were so stuck on how he was caught (when he wasn’t) and he was equally stuck on how he wasn’t, that both of you literally. . . said the same shit.

But I’m the one that rushed? Don’t make me laugh. Instead of rushing your posts and thinking you had the win in the bag, alongside being a passive-aggressive whiner, you should've just enjoyed yourself and let the battle unfold. It isn't my fault that all of you spent another round of posts clarifying shit that was already set in stone. Redundant? Yes. Stupid? Most certainly. I'm glad both of them left, because as Sachi said, this whole little skirmish ruined the entire thread.

To clarify, I'll admit I was ignorant of not being able to modify dimensions. This was pretty much my fifth or sixth T1 fight, and I've never had this come up before as an issue. It won't happen again. As for the ruling Tenkai, I had asked Naga to step in and give his ruling, which he never shared with me, if you and daisy didn't step in and try to work this shit out with me, because like I said, we're all adults, and we should handle it as such.

Furthermore, I don't like it being insinuated that I'm being "Allowed" to dodge. Genbu's intervention had nothing to do with me, and I was well and ready to try and talk this shit out with you two, as well as take the hit from daisy's web. I was trying to be reasonable. If he's playing favourites at all, it's certainly not because of my doing, and besides that, he has no reason to. If he wanted either of you dead, he could've just entered the thread himself and done away with you, sparing himself the hassle of having to deal with all of this bullshit in the first place.

I reached the same verdict last night, Tenkai. The reason I didn't post it or even say anything for the matter was because I was waiting to see if you and Daisy would come into this thread and try and figure all of this out with Shin. Not only that, but Shin wanted me to wait to post my verdict in hopes that you guys would.

Still, let me make this perfectly clear to all of you: I couldn't and don't give two flying shits who survives this battle and who dies. I'm quite sure Genbu feels the same; no one is trying to bend logic to ensure Shin escapes as you clearly presumed in your post and on YIM. You, and only you, are so god-damn sure that your attack was successful that even before you saw his post, you were threatening to call me into thread. Your attack wasn't successful - this isn't some big conspiracy against you.

Genbu's verdict stands and is 100% correct. Disagreeing with a verdict is one thing, but calling someone bias and quitting a thread because your first attack didn't work? Seriously?

i haven't fought or disputed anything, and have continued to deal with things via my ic posts, nor have i whined or complained. dunno why it's gotten so riled up. the only thing i don't really get is how an auto from my threads doesn't count. the jutsu is one i personally created, allowing the user to create an individual strand from under each fingernail, i haven't 'spat' webs once, or i would've quoted that jutsu in my post. each thread retains the user's chakra, every jutsu states that, and thus, the ten threads i can create via my hands are entirely able to be manipulated individually.

if you rule that tenkai's crystal blocks it, i have no problem with that. i intended for the webs to hit as he initially ran forwards, performing that rain jutsu, and brandishing a weapon, naturally, shin changed that to sidestepping and creating ice platforms, but i believe my window of hitting him would be after he narrowly avoids the pillars, before more are in creation to block them.

i s'pose it's moot, considering you've ruled otherwise.

but yeah, to reiterate, i've never once called in a bm, or been like 'wtf no way they can do that', even on occasions i've been confident i pulled off a move. i have no qualms with them either leaving, or continuing the fight, and never have. i think i've fought well, but i'm just not comfortable enough with t1, nor with things like endlessly invulnerable s-rank acid.

so please, stop acting like i've been sat there crying, when i've just been continuing the battle with no problems.
