Range: Range is equal to range of Earth Dominion
Special:The range increase for all sound jutsu used within the amphitheater is equal to the maximum distance of the users current Earth dominion rank. The duration of all effects of all sound jutsu used within in the amphitheater will increase by 1 turn plus another turn for each time this jutsu is retrained.
Description: Upon completing the required seals, the places his hand against the ground. Upon contact the earth instantly begins to spring to life. Roughly five meters below the user a sphere with a diameter of 2 and a half meters opens up, creating an amphitheater for the user should he choose to sink below the ground. Thousands of small tunnels, barely 2 inches in diameter, begin to snake from the amphitheater towards the surface, creating thousands of small passages to open in the ground all around the battlefield. If the user of this jutsu uses a sound jutsu while in the amphitheater the sound is echoed as it races through the small tunnels and out into the surface, amplifying the technique and potentially trapping the opponent in a sphere of devastating sound.

I dont know. I can't really see this working for lots of reasons kazu.

Firstly, C ranked jutsu can't extend up to 50 meters. There is a reason that Eath Dominion is multi-ranked. It's because at a certain point D rank cannot extend past 15 meters, C past 25, etc. If this was multi-ranked and stated that the user must know the same rank of earth dominion as Ichiman no Ana then it would be more realistic.

Secondly, why would an earth-based jutsu increase your sound techniques by 1 Rank? Jutsu that boost the power of other jutsu within a separate release are usually in seals which also have major drawbacks on the user. I see no type of drawback here other than it'd be hard to move anywhere with the holes everywhere in the ground.

Thirdly. Nara. why.. would this increase nara clan jutsu? Nara have their own secret techniques that are not affiliated with releases because it is solely based around the nature of shade. Sure, you can use your earth techniques in conjunction with nara techniques but not within one same singular technique.... especially not with a special clan's jutsu. That's just a nono but ...

The reason I figured this would work is because of the basics behind it. Essentially the jutsu creates an underground amphitheater underground with thousands of pipes that would drag the sound to the surfaces. SO the amphitheater amplifies the sound and thus increases the potency of a sound jutsu used while in the amphitheater.

As for why it would help Nara, its because it creates a shit ton more shadows >_> Got the idea from watching the shikamaru vs temari fight.

The reason It requires earth dominion is to get any distance at all. The distance this jutsu extends is the distance you control with earth dominion.

Okay. If this is all it does then it could be used in conjunction with ototon ninjutsu but it would not be a technique to strengthen it solely. I'm sure you cold use this technique in combination with a sound technique or a nara's shadow but the thing is... its not going to strengthen the techniques... at ALL. I could see if this were water to lightning.. or wind to fire.. where the opposite releases would strengthen the more powerful source.

The only thing the amphitheater would do is shoot the sound through specific holes instead of actually increasing its volume. In order to increase the 'strength' within a specific release.. it would have to come from that specific release.. sort of how a 'mastery' makes the mastered area of jutsu stronger... not all of the persons jutsu... just the section they mastered.

But anyways. The technique itself is alright, but I'm not too easy on how it 'amplifies' sound and 'strengthens' nara shadows only because its doton technique....

why not making a sound jutsu that amplifies 'sound' jutsu because the shadow imitation already does what your trying to have it do here, which is another reason its not going to be accepted. Nara already use their shadows to stretch into other shadows to extend its reach, and they train that same C rank shadow imitation to further its normal reach. So, you can try to change it to fit a better description and make it just a normal doton technique, which by the way is always dependent upon earth dominion. You're essentially creating a technique that allows you to further the reach of earth dominion through this technique whilst simultaneously allowing a "power-up" to sound and nara techs.

I understand, but amphitheaters increase sound volume, and since ototon is all about volume and frequency it would make the jutsu more potent if used in conjunction with this jutsu.

as for nara it doesn't strengthen them, just gives them more shadows to works with, meaning their jutsu have a longer range

okay. lash is going to come in here sometime today and see this and will give you the okey doke or the denial but i have a few things to say about it. you can't simply push out a c rank amount of chakra to create an amphitheater that increases sound based jutsu by a rank. i understand that you can amplify sound with the manipulation of various vaults. but this is simply amazing for a C rank bro. bump it up some ranks and change the part about strengthening nara techs because im fairly sure release-type techniques can't be extended and distributed to fit a clan's personal techniques only because their techniques are genuine to them... and because they already have techniques that extend their shadows reach.

An amphitheatre doesn't increase the volume of sound, it is designed in a way so that sound can carry further. When you speak in an amphitheatre, your voice does not get louder or softer: in order to do that, you have to speak louder or use a microphone. However, the design of the theatre allows for the back of it to capture sound and rebound it so that the wave travels further before losing its potency. The term you're looking for here is acoustics, and as a former music major I can tell you a lot about acoustics.

Overall, I agree with the consensus that sohyo has given. This technique would neither increase the potency of either Ototon or Nara. While they could be used in conjunction with the technique, as he stated, neither would be stronger.

For your Nara jutsu, you could use the shadow that the amphitheatre cast in order to capture people with your technique, but you can't increase the range of it with a technique that is outside of the domain of Nara. If we were to allow this, then every technique that cast a shadow would increase Nara range. To be fair, we already allow for incredible range on the Nara jutsu (far above what we've seen Shikamaru capable of doing) because we took into consideration the fact that Nara would otherwise be very limited.
