She was able to travel around the world with her father and learned to look at everything in the big picture. When she was only two, her birth-mother left Nami and her father because they weren't as wealthy as some other man, thus the two (Nami and her dad) ended up by themselves. The cause for their moving around was mostly because after Nami's mother left, Nami and her dad were even less wealthy as before, and with her dad barely making a living as a merchant, they were forced to travel around and look for other types of work. When Nami was only five she entertained crowds by singing for some extra money in various villages. This however, she found very enjoyable. The two -- Nami and her Father -- were always on the move, until that is they stopped in Suna, where Nami's father instantly took a love to it. Something about the place intrigued Nami' dad, and out of character he set out for them to move there. It as only when that were settled in by the time she was eight that Nami found out there was a woman, and that that woman was going to become her step-mother. This didn't bother her much though since the girl was nice, and she had recently gotten to enroll in the ninja academy and start training as a Shinobi. Being only eight, you'd think she'd do it just because it seemed cool, but Nami felt like she could do something good and played a bigger role in the world than she thought. Nami wasn't best in her class, but she got through the academy and finally became a Genin. From then on she trained hard and was determined to become greater than great, however it wasn't soon after the good news that she got bad news. Her step-mother, whom Nami wasn't super close to, has some sort of disease that might kill her. Such news devastated there family, and Nami spent the next five years studying ways to cure whatever it was that she had. Neverless, Nami didn't know anything in time, and her step-mother died in her sleep. Missing the first Chuunin exams and the invasion on Konoha, Nami felt almost not worthy of being a Shinobi, but after all the hard work she put into medical studies she realized that using Iryou techniques could be what she's good at. Despite her reckless history, Nami hasn't come out all that bad. Through her travel, she's seen many things, supporting the open mind she had today. Others sometimes seek her out to draw on her ability to effectively solve problems and gain perspective. She has a way of looking at the world that makes sense and is helpful to herself and to others. Nami is also incredibly honest, speaking the truth as well as living her life in a genuine and authentic way. She’s down to earth and without pretense. She also places a high value on close and intimate relationships with others. More than just loving and caring for others, they feel the same way about her and she allows herself to be loved. Traits such as those make her seem a bit soft, however she's proven to be very tough in combat. She has strong and coherent beliefs about the higher purpose and meaning of the world. She's aware of her position in the world and in the larger scheme of things. This awareness shapes her beliefs which shape her daily actions; it's a strong source of comfort for her, and one of the biggest reasons she's pursued the life of a shinobi. Strengths: Long-ranged attacks and close-combat, puppets, chakra control, speed/agility, diagnosing situations, self-control, staying calm in difficult situations. Weaknesses: Weapons, communication, concentration, nimble body, stealth. Likes: Dancing and singing, tea and herbs, being respectful, reading, travel, nature, clear skies. Dislikes: Loud/rude people, failing, spiders, water/sea, rain. Appearance: Nami has rib length, wavy, light brown hair that she either wears down or in a ponytail. She's tall, about five feet nine inches. She's not stick thin, but she's definitely not fat. With subtle breasts and back-side, she's not often looked at in certain ways and isn't always noticed by men. Her eyes are a light green/hazel color, and she has dark long lashes and sleek, thin brown eyebrows. Apparel: - Ninja/Training Outfit When Nami is going on a mission or going to train, she'll most likely go in this outfit. It's a simple yellow/green 3/4 sleeved shirt-like dress, with a bandage/cloth tied around her wait as a belt. She wears a scarf with the forehead protector plague inserted in it. Along with this, she has a pair of black capris, and simple black toe-less sandals. Under all this, both legs are bandaged to from her ankles to her knees and she wears a white sports bra-like undershirt. - Casual Outfit Nami's casual outfit is a basic, yellow/green tank top with her black capris. She doesn't bandage her legs and just wears her sandals, along with her hair usually in a ponytail and her scarf as a headband. - Formal Outfit If there's a special occasion, Nami will usually wear her white and maroon kimono, which has a white base with maroon colored flowers and a marooned colored belt. With this her hair would most likely be tied up in a bun of some sort and maybe even a flower hair accessory. Nami is played by Sketchy, and is on the Hard/Advanced difficulty setting.
