The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
The council room is located inside the Kazekage's prestigious residential building, almost smack down in the center. The meetings held here are those of utter importance, finding solutions to Suna's growing list of problems. The room itself is circular in shape, with a round, wooden table in the center. A total of twelve chairs surround it, all identical, except one, adorning a larger headrest, and the Kazekage symbol carved into the wood. Large stone columns circle the room, reaching from the sand littered floor to the high, flat ceiling. Various tapestries decorate the wall, as well as a large map, displaying the known countries and the locations of the other ninja villages. A copy of this map is pinned to the center of the table, a shuriken at each corner.
Pray what you call home isn't circled.
There is only one way in or out, and that is a small hallway leading to two wide doors, always guarded during meetings to make sure no one that isn't authorized can gain entrance.

Stepping into the room, Shiro promptly rested in the seat that once belonged to the previous Kazekage. Leaning back into his chair, his eyes gave a slight sparkle of interest as he awaited the arrival of the others whom would fill up the chairs surrounding him. They had a problem to deal with - ought to get it over with now.
Because I was called there and have nothing else to do. Now. Leave me be.
His thoughts quickly crossed over the threshold into reality, realizing he was only a few meters from the door which lead to the council room. The bangs from his slicked, shimmering black hair whipped about with each step that heavily struck the earth due to the heavy gourd that rested upon his back like a carcass. Each furthering step could be heard with ease by anyone who physically existed within the council room, an impending presence would soon reveal itself. "I hope there is someone there, I could use a mission to flawlessly complete right now"
His Sunagakure headband and crest lingered prominently from the boys neck, reflecting any light that would be cast upon it. With a few more steps and passing seconds Seigen stepped through the door leading to the council room, his arms folded as his solemn, stolid eyes raced around the entire room. Shiro fell victim to his analytical prowess the moment Seigen glanced over his form, but Shiro was an ally so he needed not to worry about any impending assaults.
A mere greeting was more than enough words to be exchanged, at least when conversing with an emotionally unresponsive human being who gives very little attention to others feelings or opinions upon certain matters. He walked to his chair and seated himself as his arms refused to

Ah, he was early.
In all honestly, that was the complete opposite of his intentions. He hated the feeling of having to wait on others, especially if the wait explicitly wouldn't yield any benefits. It was the sole reason he had intentionally taken his time getting to the meeting, and, well-- it brought much chagrin to his otherwise stoic demeanor to find out his prolongation had not come to fruition.
Needless to say, it didn't stop him from making a statement. No, in fact, while everyone else him was suited and adorned with attire for battle, he, on the other hand, wore nothing to demonstrate his willingness to sacrifice himself for a worthless cause.
"Respect your superiors." He mouthed as he passed, simply and casually slapping the youth that had arrived moments before him on the back of the head - a light tap, done to demonstrate authority. Without remorse or even any other further form of acknowledgement, Sora found himself taking a seat amongst the many in the room; placing himself next to the only man he really trusted in the village.
Who would have thought little 'shi-shi' would end up becoming a leader of a nation?
The previous Kazekage was dead, and now his friend was in-line to take up the empty throne. Who would have thought fate would turn out like this? The council room would be the given directive for several chosen shinobi to meet under the order of Shiro, and Kojiro would be following that order. Casually he progressed into the council room, taking note of the circular table centered perfectly amongst the stone walls. A few had already gathered, including the new Kazekage himself. He started to the empty seat aside Etsuko Shiro, two seats from Sora. Plopping down into the less than regal seat, he slouched slightly, saving the energy to act professional for the company of the people when the meeting had actually started. And now the waiting game began...

The doors opened again, this time a blond youth strolled into the room. He glanced at each person in turn that had arrived before him, stopping at last on the new Kazekage, giving a silent nod of.. respect, perhaps? It was hard to determine what the action really meant, at least to those spectating. Kouta took his seat next to Kojiro, crossing his arms over his chest. After a much too long moment of silence, he decided to break the trend. "..So, why exactly are we here?" he inquired, eyes once again trailing to their new leader, expecting an answer.

"What a small showing, but this is more than enough power." he muttered, before slouching back into the chair. "As you may know, Shukaku is currently terrorizing our region. Personally, I would rather leave it alone due to it being so extremely pitiful, but the citizens of the village are worried. Before going on your official mission, I would like you three; Sora, Koji, and Kouta, to go defeat it." he shifted in the chair and rested his arms against the top of the table, peering the three over. "Kouta, please tell those already there that the Kazekage orders a retreat, and for them to protect the village gates. Once they've left the area, Koji and Sora will be able of fighting it without worry of others getting harmed."
Kouta shattered the trend of silence, and to follow-up was Shiro himself. He laid down what was necessary - go hunt and eliminate Shukaku. Kojiro chuckled lightly to the request, and replied with the usual sarcastic tone, "Haha, you say it as if it's like the usual stroll the the park." Which was true, destroying a tailed demon was no walk in the park. Of course there would be other shinobi offering forth their lives to defeat the beast, many much more trained than the three that were given instruction, but perhaps the trust factor played a major roll in the cause. Maybe it was necessary for them to lead the coalition of troops to victory, to grant the trust of the population towards Shiro, which was understandable.
Yet, albeit the ridiculous request so basically throw his own life away, Kojiro nodded and replied with a simple, "Yessir. I'm somewhat looking forward to hear my name being praised after we bring home its body!" A strong grin replaced the serious face that once controlled him. This would be fun.

A short-lived meeting; he expected nothing less from his meticulous brethren. Essentially, now as the only active Chunnin in the trio of names assigned to take care of Shukaku, responsibility over his younger and less experienced kin was now onto Sora's shoulders.
Naturally, most would buckle at the sheer thought of being worthy enough for such a prestigious honor, however, Sora was keen on his real objective-- for now, well, the lingering problem needed to be dealt with.
"Don't speak lightly on the matter," although thin lipped, words still seemingly managed to be spoken-- albeit, with a hushed melody. "We'll need tactical equipment and armor should we hope to subdue him without casualties. Am I correct in my assumption that Sunagakure will be providing us with such?" It was, however, true.
As a bijuu, Shikaku was volatile and enduring; should one approach him from the wrong angle would mean sure death.
"Kouta, Koji-- gather your things and we'll meet at the gate."

With Sora's command, Kojiro rose from his seat, deciding to take the initiative. While a bit playful in situations, under the laughing front, he did realize the dangers of the mission, and had to stay completely focused during the struggles to come. With the same casual step he entered with, Koji would exit from the circular room, back down the narrow corridor he traveled down just moments before.
What was on his agenda? Sharpen his sword, load his senbon launchers, prep his armor, pop some pills, and fill up on a tasty meal and refreshing drink. Oh the things that life put him through.

Yoko's sleeve was placed at her mouth as she spoke. Along with the musical, feminine voice came a brunette beauty. She gave a slight bow of her head to show proper respects and shuffled in amongst her comrades.
Taking an empty seat, her eyes swayed about the gathered shinobi. She didn't know much about the Kazekage, but she wanted to change that fact. Yoko grew weary of associating herself with weak, powerless men. It sickened her.
She was above them.
"My apologies but may I be briefed on the happenings of this meeting?"
She had no place to speak, but remaining in the dark would prove no better. Yoko knew how to handle herself in such situations, she was practically born for a political position within Suna. She'd have her hands over each other in her lap, upon her face a wry smile as she awaited orders.

Sometimes it was just wonderful to be a shinobi!
The Etsuko girl had been listening in on the conversation for a while now, but it was not a product of jutsu that she had remained mostly unnoticed. She was neither hiding in the shadows nor disguised as some lesser being. Instead, she was huddled underneath the table near her elder brother--the Kazekage's--feet, fingers toying with the fragile petals of a flower. He was, perhaps, the only one aware of her presence, because he had been here when she originally came into the room. The others would be in the dark, unaware even of her chakra signature thanks to the Kagura Kinzu.
At the mention of Shukaku her wrist jerked unexpectedly, tearing a petal from the rose she clutched like a lifesaver. Blue eyes narrowed down at it, as if it had done something wrong. Instead of throwing it away like she desired, Youka scooted to the space between Soratsu and Shiro's feet. A slender, pale arm extended from beneath the edge of the table like a ghost, depositing the flower before them. "Sora-cchi is more than enough manpower to destroy that pitiful creature," she spoke up, voice clear enough to raise above the chatter of a late arrival. The hand retreated, nails tracing the side of Sora's leg as it passed by. If anyone held her allegiance at the moment, it was certainly her elder brothers. They meant more to her than most, certainly.
She had the urge to remain beneath the table and refrain from contributing further to the chaos, but now that her cover was blown there was hardly any reason to. With a sigh, Youka gracefully removed herself from her previous position--that is to say, as gracefully as one can crawl out from under a table. Brushing off the black silk of her dress, the girl practically flopped down into the unoccupied chair at Shiro's other side.
"Do we really plan to kill the beast? There is no way to.. ah.. harness its power more effectively than has been done in the past?" It was a fair question, but she didn't care much about the answer. She placed her elbow on the arm of her chair and promptly leaned her chin against her palm, awaiting some eventful response.

Yes, it certainly wasn't awkward having your little sister beneath the table nearly between your legs. Definitely not awkward at all! However, he was too intent and focused on the problem at hand in the long run. With a wave of his hand, he dismissed Sora's request - "Take what you need from the Kage Tower." he muttered, before his head peered up and took notice of another entering. If memory served him correctly, she was a medical shinobi. "Take Yoko with you, as well. She might prove useful in terms of support." he quickly added on, before he would stand from his seat and approach the window, left arm daintly behind his back as his fingers lightly curled.
"My overall goal is to at least scare the beast away. I've no interest in harnessing its power, unless it is truly required. However, if you all can weaken it enough so that the village elders can seal it inside of Yoko, that works too. On that note, tell the village elders we will require them in that aspect to assist the battle. Sora, you are to command them." his head turned to gaze over the group, lips thinning in a line as he exhaled a soft sigh, right hand ruffling his raven hair. "If Yoko proves incapable, kill her."

"Easier said than done." Sora smiled at the words of one of the youngest in the room, the only real shred of emotion that had graced his features since arriving several moments earlier. It wasn't much of a surprise to find out Youka had been in the room the entire time, even at her icy touch Sora did not flinch - if anything, it brought him much merriment that she had gone undetected for such a long period of time, especially from him. T'was only a matter of time before she surpassed both himself, and even Shiro.
"Understood," he stated, allowing his body to remove itself from it's seated position following Shiro's words. "Yoko, you'll be briefed outside; for now, follow me." His words rolled from his tongue lightly and casually, almost as if he hadn't just received the orders to kill one of his comrades should they become a burden. Nevertheless, moving, Sora pressed his lips to the side of his younger sister's face, kissing it softly before turning and leaving - such a dangerous mission could not guarantee him returning, y'know?
"I'll be sure to report my findings when I return, Shi-shi."
Yoko mentally bolstered. She was to house that disgustingly weak Bijuu, Shukaku. Her sleeve motion to her mouth as her lips curled in distaste for a quick moment. Yoko knew she couldn't refuse orders and so she accepted it, nodding to the Kazekage's words.
She almost cringed at Lord Kazekage's last words, she had no intentions of dying, dying because she couldn't control such a weak pitiful creature. "Shit..." She thought as she turned towards Sora.
Standing up she bowed as she left the room to be briefed, but from what she gathered she was going to be providing support as well as house the One-tailed beast. Silently she exited the door not looking back. "I'll attain power, and if its by these means than so be it... I won't be weak, nor shall I die."
