Kouta darted across the battlefield, his sandals leaving small impressions on the shifting sands as he approached the scene. A fallen 'kage', the real one, several shinobi that better be kicking their retreating into gear.. and a giant, titanic beast hell bent on destruction. At least the efforts of the man Shiro had just presumably done away with hadn't been a waste. Shukaku should have been temporarily dazed at the least, weakened slightly at the most. The blond halted his steps about a yard away from the Etsuko, gaze set on the demonic raccoon. He whistled, then murmured, "..It's a lot bigger then I had imagined," before his mind went to work, calculating a plan to take down the threat.
"The elders are right behind us, but they are refusing to approach until they know they actually have a chance to seal it," he doubted the option would ever be put to use, however. Locking something so powerful inside a mortal vessel required too much luck, a lot of skill, coupled with more effort and risk then any of them probably wanted to take. Why should they, when it was going to be much easier to beat the shit out of the thing?
Kouta refused to make any moves, knowing getting hasty in this battle could get him killed. Best to wait for the more experienced shinobi to arrive along side him. "Demon or not, it can still be killed.. are we still just trying to teach it a lesson, take it down, or gain it's power for our own?" whatever the Kazekage's orders, he was bound to obey.
Kouta remained attentive as their orders were given, perking up as it sunk in that they'd be taking on one of the vicious, man eating bijuu. Well, Shiro had more faith in their abilities then he realized.. that or he wanted them exterminated, but really, there were far easier ways. The blond couldn't help but chuckle at Kojiro's happy-go-lucky response to the whole thing.. well, if he wanted to tote the demon back, he was more then welcomed.
Of course, Sora's words were taken into serious account, also. His eyes kept trailing back and forth, to whomever was speaking, but he himself remained silent for a while, intently listening to the evolving strategies. Finally, he assumed it was about time to take his leave and get ready, but his attention was drawn to their late arrival.. and then again to the surprise under the table. Kouta didn't think he wanted to know what she had been doing under their.
Again, he listened quietly to the plan, finally getting to his feet. "Don't worry, Yoko, I doubt it'll come to that," he gave her a warm smile, but their was something behind it, a hidden implication of 'but, if it does, i'm showing no mercy'. He turned his body to face their leader, giving a short bow of his head, "We'll succeed, one way or another," he promised, then went to take his leave. "Or we wont come back at all," it was completion or death.
The doors opened again, this time a blond youth strolled into the room. He glanced at each person in turn that had arrived before him, stopping at last on the new Kazekage, giving a silent nod of.. respect, perhaps? It was hard to determine what the action really meant, at least to those spectating. Kouta took his seat next to Kojiro, crossing his arms over his chest. After a much too long moment of silence, he decided to break the trend. "..So, why exactly are we here?" he inquired, eyes once again trailing to their new leader, expecting an answer.
The council room is located inside the Kazekage's prestigious residential building, almost smack down in the center. The meetings held here are those of utter importance, finding solutions to Suna's growing list of problems. The room itself is circular in shape, with a round, wooden table in the center. A total of twelve chairs surround it, all identical, except one, adorning a larger headrest, and the Kazekage symbol carved into the wood. Large stone columns circle the room, reaching from the sand littered floor to the high, flat ceiling. Various tapestries decorate the wall, as well as a large map, displaying the known countries and the locations of the other ninja villages. A copy of this map is pinned to the center of the table, a shuriken at each corner.
Pray what you call home isn't circled.
There is only one way in or out, and that is a small hallway leading to two wide doors, always guarded during meetings to make sure no one that isn't authorized can gain entrance.
Housenka no Jutsu (Mythical Fire Phoenix Technique) Rank: C Type: Offensive / Katon Ninjutsu Range: See special! Special: Up to 5 projectile fireballs can be made at once, plus 5 more each time retrained. Travels as far as the projectile allows. Description: Basic yet very effective within the Katon arsenal of jutsu, this technique allows the ninja to emit a series of small fire balls after a simple set of handseals are made. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, because they do not see the hidden threat within the flames. Karyuu Endan (Fire Dragon Flame Projectile) Rank: B Type: Offensive / Katon Ninjutsu Range: 0 - 10 meters Special: Stream travels 10 meters, plus 5 more each time retrained. Description: This jutsu allows the user to expel a jet stream of fire that moves at high speeds, double that of a kunai, with the pressure behind it that can pierce even the hardest of stones. All the user has to do is perform a few simple handseals, and with a deep breath taking, the stream is shot forth. Kyodan Anshu no Jutsu (Electrified Projectile Technique) Rank: C Type: Supplementary / Raiton Ninjutsu Range: See special! Special: Can be used on any projectile or throwing weapon like Senbon or Kunai, or anything that isn’t as big as a main weapon, such as a broadsword or shield. Description: Considered supplementary because the user can rely on this technique anytime they have a projectile in hand without worrying about handseals, the user concentrates a small amount of Raiton chakra into the metallic weapon, set to disperse whenever said weapon comes in contact with its target. When stuck by an enhanced projectile, the user will receive extra damage, as well as many small shocks. Highly effective against opponents susceptible to lightning in general. Domain: Raiton. EXP: 50
Mekurumeku (Blinding Flash) Rank: D Type: Supplementary / Raiton Ninjutsu Range: 0 -1 0 meters Special: For RP purposes outside of battle, this can be used at lower intensities to light up dark areas. Description: A basic yet effective Raiton technique, the user focuses a bit of chakra all over their body, letting the lightning gather and then quickly exploding, effectively providing a blinding light that leaves all within the range blind. Danpen Inazuma (Shooting Thunder) Rank: C Type: Offensive / Raiton Ninjutsu Range: 0 - 5 meters Special: Does not require handseals. Can be used once per turn, plus one more each time retrained. Description: Meant more as a reactionary technique than a main avenue of offense, this jutsu allows the user to essentially shoot out small lightning bolts from a free hand to anyone within five meters. This requires no seals to conjure, and can be shot out from one’s appendage during the most heated of combat. The damage is light, less than a Raikyuu, and the bolts shoot off in a relatively straight line, at rapid speeds. Domain: Raiton EXP: 50
Soushuuha (Manipulate Advancing Blades) Rank: C Type: Supplementary / Ninjutsu Range: 0 – 10 meters Special: When first learned, the user can control up to 5 projectiles/secondary weapons, and send it flying up to 5 meters. However, each time re-trained, their control number goes up by 5, and their travel distance increases by 5 more meters. Description: Soushuuha is a ninjutsu technique used in order to give aerial projectiles a slight edge in combat. After the needed handseals, this technique allows the user to hover multiple projectiles, like kunai, in the air while they approach a target.
