‘I think I’m in Hi no Kuni.’ As I moved along the country side I’d noticed yet another change in the terrain, it had been a couple of days since I left Mizu no kuni. My travels through the country wes laced interesting people, though they hadn’t led to much of anything I appreciated meeting some of the locals. I couldn’t help but to hope to come across the young woman that had seemed very interesting but left my presence so abruptly. Hence the reason that I would one day return back to those lands with aspirations of crossing paths with her again. But at this moment I had other matters on my hands, I was in search of a place that seemed quite mythical that my parents said I was born in.
Yume no Sato, there has been countless tails that my father told me about the place. Hence why I had always aspired to find it, luckily I had finally been permitted to leave the village indefinitely for a little vacation. For that reason I found myself treading through the forest of Hi no Kuni with no real sense of direction, my father just told me to let my heart guide me home. So that’s exactly what I was doing, I was just following my heart and so far its sense of direction seemed to be pretty good as I had got to Hi no Kuni without much trouble at all. ‘I hope this doesn’t take too much longer, this shit is getting tiresome.’ I thought to myself as my body began to feel a bit fatigued from all this traveling.
“I need to rest.”
I said to myself as I had seemed to come up on what looked like a large lake in the middle of nowhere. Which would create the opening I needed to give myself a much needed break, I’d slow my run to a steady walk as approached the lake. I’d take my seat along the shore line of the lake sitting Indian style with one leg crossed over the other, the wind would pick up quite a bit causing my hair to swing a bit. I’d look down into the water in front me catching a view of my own reflection, ‘Got damn I look good.’ As the thought passed through my mind I’d smile slightly before pulling my hand from side rubbing my chin.
“This is the life… I wish I could survive without ever having to move from this spot.”
I’d say to myself as I looked upon my own reflection; as I spoke those words I would change positions to lay down upon the lakes shore. Hence a slight smile would appear upon my face as I examined the clouds up above me, there had been various different shapes floating around the air. None of them really caught my attention they had actually did the exact opposite, my eyes would begin to close as I laid along the shoreline. I could feel myself falling asleep, it was like I was at peace with myself a this vary moment and allowed my body to act is it wanted.
As I drifted away from consciousness I would hear a loud splash of water that would pull me from my trans, quickly popping up from my resting position I would scan the area looking for the source of the sound. ‘Oh shit.’ as my eyes took note of what was actually going on I would notice a young woman that had started to swim around in the water. She was quite beautiful as I had felt compelled to stare at the woman even though her entire body had been shielded by the waters of the lake, I would quickly switch back my Indian style position.
“Ay you!”
