I'm getting 1965 exp spent

The two exited and to Elsa’s surprise every building in sight looked no better than the place she had just left. This came as quite a shock since every laborer area she had been shown by the samurai had looked a lot more… humane. She now wondered if it was all just a ploy that was used to convince the masses that the samurai were merciful. It wasn’t like the samurai lacked the materials to make suitable living quarters; every hotel she stayed at had showcased the latest technologies and exquisite designs. Surely they could have spared some money to build a suitable road for these poor children to walk on…

Elsa thought further about how the shinobi could have possibly fallen. The immigrant shinobi in the snow country were revered for being able to perform godly acts with their chakra, it was simply unbelievable to think of them being controlled like slaves. It sounded like Orca didn’t quite understand how they had lost either, which was completely understandable. Why would the samurai want to advertise how they kept the ninja in check?

“Surely finding out how they got the upper hand is key if you want a chance at rebelling,” Elsa would say as neutral as she could. She had to remember that she was technically an ally of the samurai and that she needed to keep herself focused on her people’s well being. That being said, if the shinobi ever did come back to power… Arendelle would probably get punished. God damned politics.

As they continued down the road, Elsa cringed at the raggedy children and said, “I appreciate you showing me this… atrocity… but I’m not sure what you want me to get out of this. It’s not like our relatively small army can do anything about this… not that anybody in their right mind would want to given how much we've benefited from the fall of the shinobi.”

Elsa fought the urge to rise to her feet and run and took advantage of the smoke screen that had been thrown up by the small explosion. One archer in particulary walked lazily through the light haze completely oblivious to the young Hyuuga as he fired even more arrows into the air. His face, smug from the sounds of crying women, found itself frozen in pain as life was quite literally torn from his chest. Elsa had feinted the last time she had witnessed a killing and felt an excess of oxygen rush into her brain as her breathing intensified. This coupled with her steady stream of tears made her wish she was anywhere else.

Almost subconsciously, the young princess’ hands touched one another in six handseals as the surrounding air started to chill. The almost instantly, the ground throughout most of the village turned glossy as it was covered in a 0.5” thick sheet of ice. When Elsa opened her eyes she found that she had stood up and was walking towards whatever had killed the bandit.

“You fight well,” she would mention as she recounted the boy’s fluid movements and surmised that he must have been a physical-based shinobi at some point in his life. One look at his eyes would tell her that he was young, much too young to be killing. But that was besides the point. They were both in the same boat here, unfortunate passersby caught up in a seldom patrolled area of the water country. As the last of the icy tears were wiped from her face, the princess would speak again, “I am Elsa. Might I propose we team up to save these innocent villagers?”

Ten seconds would pass before an 8 foot tall towering freak of nature would be seen approaching from the same direction as the archer had come from. It would be clear that he was having trouble standing due to the ice which was Elsa’s plan: stall until help arrived. With some effort, the man growled angrily and started stomping as hard as he could into the ground, essentially breaking the ice as he walked and called out, “you okay Moe? You run out of arrows again?”

Several miles away a samurai watchman would see the fires and signal off an alarm. The samurai would arrive… eventually. But would they actually be helpful?

[Planning on samurai arriving in a few posts, so there will be some time lapse after this big guy is taken care of. Spoiler alert: the samurai will want to kill everyone save the women and children since signs of ninjutsu will be present.]

Elsa was somewhat surprised by Orca's recollection of the shinobi-samurai history. Every other ninja she had spoken to completely left out how much the samurai had been oppressed which had always made her wonder what motivated the samurai to be so oppressive. Out of everything that had happened so far, this was the one thing that made Elsa trust Orca and realize that he was unique. And if he could prove to her that they were really being enslaved... well she didn't know if she could really look at samurai in a positive light anymore.

"You say the shinobi are enslaved, which I find hard to believe. I've seen shinobi fight before and I can't imagine people of such power being unable to fight back. Let's see what you have to show me. If what you say is true then perhaps I can talk this over with my parents." She would speak these words as she stepped outside the hut.

"Ngh," Elsa would groan as she sat up fully and rubbed her eyes. "Okay then, as long as I'm not a prisoner or anything." Hearing where they were was somewhat of a comfort to her. Being near a port meant she could hurry on home if need be and get away from the hell she had found herself in. Maybe next time she'd come with some competent bodyguards. It only took a few moments for Elsa to get to her feet and motion towards the door, "shall we?" She knew the small hut didn't have anything she needed to make herself presentable anyways so she might as well get this over with.

Elsa tried to push the fact this man had commited murder just the night before. He didn't seem like such a bad guy anyways.
