I smiled to myself. "I would like to point a simple point, miss, though unless you have supersight would probably not have known this as of this moment. Maps are of no use to me, as I am blind. I have been trained to listen to the sounds and the vibrations with which I am familiar. I heard the roar of the water, and I was enticed by the musk of the wet moss. Of course, now I realize I am a little off the beaten path."

I turned my head, to look straight at her. No longer was there a tender smile on my face. What adorned my face was an expression of deep intent, one of which might seem to lead to intense concentration. I showed no threat within the muscles of my stare, instead a deep curiosity. I tried to drown out the sounds of my surroundings while listening closer to my new friends.

"While I can tell you are somewhat far away, the slight scraping of metal is tickling my toes." I paused to look at the ground momentarily, then back at the girl. "I do not know what it is you carry with you at this moment, but I do wonder...is your intent to kill a blind boy?" It was not meant to be a pleasant question. I rarely played this card, however I felt it would be interesting to see how it would play out. "I may be blind, but do not underestimate me."

Within my own two palms, pieces of paper began to mold into two fist-sized throwing stars, one in each hand. These weapons were pressed flat against my hand, as paper commonly acts, and only one who could sense chakra would detect the weapons' presence. I would not attack just yet, however I was more than willing to if need be.

Description: A simple, basic yet effective paper techniques, the user can take one or more paper creations of their own and turn them into deadly shuriken. Retaining their infamous paper strength, these shuriken are sent flying by the user's chakra alone, resulting in a deadly barrage of projectiles.

Everything was all right now. I had found my footing. I knew vaguely of where I was compared to the currents. My ears had at this point adjusted to the sounds around me. What I didn't expect was to hear another voice. Especially one filled with such...malice.

I flinched, which was probably not the best thing to do. I listened to the voice, pinpointing it in my mind. She seemed far away, perhaps 20 or 30 meters away. I tried to contain my composure, but if one watched my face they could clearly see I was terrified. How would you feel if someone took you to a completely unknown territory to you and blindfolded you? Forgetting to mention there were ravenous beasts in the shadows which you could not see. I did not like this situation, and so I slowly began pumping chakra into my hand.

I knew that I were to attack now, any help would be gone. But for my own safety, I ran through the 12 various zodiacs in my mind, remembering how it felt for my fingers to mesh different ways. I did not form any handseals for fear the voice would harm me further, instead preparing for an assualt in case my 'friend' was deemed less than friendly.

"I-I'm sorry to intrude on you. I am but a simple shinobi of Kumogakure. I apologize for intruding on you. I was exploring for smells and I got lost." I debated telling the voice my name, but I figured I had nothing to lose except my life. "My name is Io, Durius. May I ask who you may be, miss?" I was not sure if my eyes would be able to express anything, but I tried as much as I could muster to show with my body that I was truly friendly with good intentions.

After speaking with Devious about the 'beam' tech, I have removed it due to its lack of closeness to Souin. Also, small things in the punch tech have been edited, and a new medic tech as well. I tried.

Special: When first learned this technique will last for a period of 1 turns, plus 1 more turn each time retrained (this technique can trained a total of 10 times[/u]). This technique adds one 'A' rank worth of damage to any taijutsu used in conjunction with this technique during its duration (damage is not stacked[/u]). For every turn this technique is keep active, the user risks a 10% chance (every turn, 10% will be stacked, until one essentially reaches 100%, in which the limb would be considered unusable for the rest of the thread) of the muscles within the limb being severely injured to the point where the limb may be unusable. This damage may only be treated by a medic with knowledge of Shosen 'A' rank or higher. While this jutsu is in affect, the medic will be UNABLE to mold NinJutsu of any kind or form.[/u]
Description: After gaining a mastery over the art of healing chakra and its various properties, one may then continue to learn about the specifics of the body. With this technique, the user is able to multiply the muscle within a certain area (typically an arm or leg) by up to three times the normal amount. The medic does so by concentrating the chakra all around their body and temporarily transferring it into the designated area. For a certain amount of time, stemmed from the medic's knowledge of this technique, a medic may keep this technique active. When using this technique, the affected limb will be up to 3 times larger in muscle mass than normal, while the rest of the body will be up to 3 times as malnourished. Once the muscle is transfered, the medic can choose to either continue using the technique with the risk rising every turn, or the medic can cancel it by using Shosen on the affected limb.

Type: Offensive/Specialized NinJutsu
Range: Self (See special!)
Special: Damage of strike (and what can be destroyed by the force of the technique) depends on highest rank of 'Chakura no Iko' known. When first learned, this technique will send a target (be it a tree, rock, person, etc.) flying backwards 50 metres. Each time this technique is trained after the initial (with a max of 5 times trained total[/b]), the distance increases by 50 metres (with a total distance of 250 metres[/u] being achievable). For every 50 metres the target travels, B-rank tumbling/blunt damage will be dealt (this is due to the sheer force of the technique, causing the target to temporarily descend to the earth to tumble and ascend back into the air.) The target will never fly more than 5 metres off the ground (losing 1 metre every 50 metres traveled). Due to the destructive nature of this technique, it may only be used 3 times per thread.[/u] If one exceeds the usage limit, the bones within the hand used for the technique will shatter, and the muscles in the limb will be severely injured to the point where it will cause intense pain, preventing any form of movement in the limb (forming of handseals, molding chakra, & NO use of Souin techniques in the next RP Thread[/u] the user is in). To heal the damage, the user must be treated by a medic (or themselves, though this would be slightly more difficult) with a knowledge of 'S' rank Shousen. Regardless of how many appendages the medic may have, this technique can only be used with one fist.[/u]
Description: After having gained a mastery over the arts, one's strength greatly increases. As such, the control a medic may now show is incredible, thus making this technique much more dangerous than normal. From intense training in the art of Souin, a medic is now able to channel their strength into one designated area. In this case, the fist is supercharged with the special chakra. When the user finds the target they wish to attack, they launch their chakra-charged fist forward towards the center of a target. As the fist connects with the target, the medic will deftly control when the massive amount of chakra is released. After the initial punch, the medic will then release the massive amount of chakra in a straight line. This release of chakra is truly what creates the deadly force of the jutsu. Due to the sheer force at which the chakra is released, as well as how much of it, will cause the target to be send flying backwards at a height of 5 metres. For every 50 metres the target travels, it will be pulled down by gravity to tumble on the ground for about 5 metres (dealing B-rank tumbling/blunt damage), only to be sent back into the air (due to the rough tumbling force). Every time the target ascends back into the air, a meter in height is lost, until the target finally touches back down to the ground.

It seemed as if there were few things that made me smile lately. However, there was something about the air around the festival that made me grin. What was so different about today, that made me laugh unknowingly? I felt so strange, here in a place I did not know. I...was wanted here, in this village.

What I expected when I came here was, to say the mostt, a quiet time by myself. Listening to feet shuffling on cobblestone walkways. It is not that I mourn for my loneliness. No, I accept that who I am has made me less popular; the kind kid who does things for people who will never remember him. It was the voice which bit into the air with such reassurance I was taken off guard.

I knew who he was only by the recordings of hearing him. Powerful speech of a young man whose face I tried to imagine. Aburame, Shouta, the most powerful man in the village: our kage. I did not expect such a man to care about me, no less want to converse with someone of such a low rank. It was at his question that I remembered where I was.

My allegiance lay to Cloud, where I placed my life and trust. I removed the black silk cloth from underneath my maroon zipped-up hoodie, feeling the silver biting metal in my palms. Holding it up to my face, I gently wrapped the cloth around my head. I felt the reassuring headband's cool touch on my eyelids. I beamed as I bore the symbol of my village.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Raikage-sama." I smiled at him, truly trying to show my genuine happiness, and gave a slight bow. "I apologize for forgetting my headband. I forgot to put it on before I left." A short pause. "My name is Io, Durius." A slight bow of the head with a smile.

I was never fond of carnivals. Maybe it was because I could not enjoy the sights around me, which I knew once held a vivid impact on my life. Now, more so than ever, things took away my breath not for their beauty, but how they frightened me. I knew beauty in another life. It was this painful sentiment that made me realize how lucky I was. Not many experienced things the way I did, and for that I was grateful. In a strange way, I was still special to this world. Or so I hoped.

I had heard of the festivities happening here and there. It wasn't until I asked my way around that I learned more about it. The Raikage wanted to celebrate: for what exactly, I'm not really sure. Perhaps simply to celebrate living, or maybe there was some other, deeper meaning behind it. Regardless, I heard my stomach growl and placed my hand on my aching belly. Due to the devastation caused by the current war, many people were forced to eat carefully, living in closed quarters for safety measures.

I felt guilty at first for coming, but now I thought of how others were here for fun. The smells of various dishes caught my nose. Ramen, anko, mochi. They all seemed to appealing, yet I had little money and knew not whether I could afford to eat. I felt my way to a food stand, the heavy musk of flavored ramen boiling in a large pot. I could feel a great heat coming from in front of me: perhaps the cook was a ninja as well, come to partake in the festivities.

I plopped myself on a stool, pulling out the little money I owned. [orange]"Is there anything I can buy for the little I have?"[/orange] I removed the coins from the pouch on my thigh and placed each individual piece on the counter. The man nodded, then tapped the tabled twice to get my attention. He formed a y-e-s in my hand, and handed my a hot bowl. [red]"I can't say no to a fellow shinobi! That would be disgraceful. Eat all you want!"[/red] The scents of sweet mochi wading in a shallow pool of chicken and beef flavored soup made my mouth water uncontrollably. Before I could help myself, two chopsticks were in my hand shoveling delicious food. [orange]"Thank you, sir! You are most kind! My name is Durius Io!"[/orange] Despite food dangling and dripping from the corners of my mouth, I couldn't suppress the big grin plastered across my face. I hadn't felt this sincerely happy in a while.

It was the bustling and laughing of those around me that caused me to leave. I payed the bartender with my thanks, departing to explore the sounds. I could fireworks up above my head, and flinched at the unexpectedness of it. I braced myself to take a risk, and slowly walked around the festival. Listening to music, wafts of various food stands. It was all so pleasant. I couldn't help but crack a smile as I walked around aimlessly.
