Reiten's sandals splashed against the soft mud in Mizu no Kuni. His body made haste, brushing against the wind violently, his hair swayed back and forth with each step. The dreadful mist would hit his eyes, causing a reactive blink here and there, but his mind was on his objective, as well as his own agenda. He intended not to fail his leader, for he felt himself now a potential part of Kirigakure's future.
His travel would carry him to the end of the country, just along the edge, where there was nothing but water, stretching for miles and miles. The mist created the illusion of distance even further. He knew his country and its surroundings well. He studied them consistently, in hopes of days such as these. Stopping near the both he was informed would be waiting for him, he pulled out his map from his pouch and scanned it. His eyes were swift in visualizing the travels. He could avoid both Fire Country and Lightning Country, going through the lands in between them to the North West.
Putting the map away he eyed the motor boat left for him. A pleasure he hadn't expected, having had anticipated the long, strenuous rowing. He wasted no more time in getting to where he needed to go. The boat rocked back and forth from it's new found weight. Once it had settled Reiten prepared the engine to start. Once done it took off toward the north west. He had hoped to encounter land soon. His mind ventured onward into an everlasting abyss. His body subconsciously moved him. He repeated the process in his mind over and over. So much so his body knew the plan. He wondered what new things would await him in his travels. Lands he had seen outside of the usual watery depths that was his home. No amount of wondering would quench his thirst for knowledge. Hours of travel would carry him through the soft, silent fields of Oto country, through the even more silent and peaceful Noodles country, and lastly through the animal infested Taki country.
Finally he had arrived.
