  Description: A shuriken, like kunai, is one of the more basic weapons employed by ninja of all classes. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, no more than a few inches long, and are extremely useful for throwing. Although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, to kill. They have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.

  Description: Makibishi are small, sharp objects that are mainly used to inhibit someone from walking in a certain direction or area, since they would injure the ninja's feet if they tried to walk over them. Although ineffective when used individually, they can severely cripple a whole enemy unit with appropriate use.

  Description: The exploding note is a piece of parchment paper infused with special chakra, layered over with a special script on it that serves to enable and facilitate its explosive properties. Things got quiet, not that I wanted to, but it seemed like that look was the cause of it. Maybe I overreacted, but even I just strongly felt like he shouldn't have ruined a perfectly good moment of joy. Needless to say I got my point across, or maybe they didn't take me serious, I couldn't tell at the time. A pervasive wall of silence hung between us as we continued to trek through dunes of sand on a eastern bound path, my eyes indecisively began to flicker between the distant horizon and sight of my captain walking. I never liked silence, or anything that felt like hostile tension no matter who caused. With that said, I'd decided to break the ice once more, yet, attempted to divulge in more 'personal' matters.

"So, Isao-Taicho, what made you want to become a ninja? I'm sure its something interesting, you seem like such a nice person."

My tone returned to a more childish pace, removing the apathetic countenance along with the voice and emotions it entailed. This wasn't some small talk question, I was -in all honesty- curious as to why he became a soldier in sunagakure's military force. As for Masao, right now I had no interest in speaking with him at the time, namely because I always distanced myself from those with a negative polarity.

Come? thats all the bastard had to sad to Hiraki to cause a initial reaction, namely one in the form a brisk seals that were formed over the span of one solid second. And upon the completion of these seals had Hiraki's chakra flared, stretching out and latching onto his opponents tenketsu, altering the very reality around him. So many things would happen in just the first few seconds, things looked took a turn for the worst for this so-called Jounin.

"Only seven, and you're already a genin? Damn, kid, you're doing good for yourself."

"Hehe, what can I say, I'm good at what I do, plus I've got motivation y'know!"

I spoke boisterously, brimming with pride and confidence, I may have come across as arrogant a little, but hey, not like I gave a damn, besides, I was only seven years old, what'd I know about arrogance, it was my nature to have that childish confidence. But truth be told I was just a hard worker who was naturally gifted and often pushed by my mom to always study even though it was always boring and made me sleepy after a while, but in the end it all paid off. Just being a Genin at this age made me steps ahead of others, but not all, I still had a ways to got, especially if I wanted to surpass him.

We made our way to the village gates -my captain(s) and I- with a steady gait, but one that still held a healthy desire to alleviate the problem that had been delegated to us by the 'Higher ups' of Sunagakure. Mission didn't seem too hard at all to me, or perhaps that was just my childish confidence speak, who knows. But with 2 - well, 3 people technically on our squad, this shouldn't be a problem. My marked kunai twirled around my middle finger spinning it to keep my attention occupied, because lets face it, no matter how much we talked to one another, it would eventually get boring, but I had the advantages of a childs imagination, so everything was pretty damn exciting to me.

"Have you ever been outside of the village on a mission before? The world we know is a pretty big place."

Another voice albeit drastically different than the previous, called out to me with words of inquiry, wanting to know had I even been out of the village on a mission. I was a adventurous tike, I'd been out of the village on several occasions, however, on while on missions, I'd have to say no, though I did exceed alot of others I was still a genin and had to stick to genin regulations, and that included missions.

"I've been out the village plenty of times, just not on missions y'know. My mom has taken me out sometimes too when I needed hands on experience with my training and what not. So, what about you, what kinda things have you see out in this big world? I'm sure they're interesting hehee!"

Man, I loved my mom, the way she spoke to me was just so soothing to my ears, call me a momma's boy if you want, I really don't care, all I know is that she makes me feel safe and peaceful, like nothing in the world could possibly hurt me. It was a feeling I never wanted to grow out of - ever. Without wanting -or seeming like- to disrespect my own mother, I faced her once more as she spoke, but my apathetic gaze was far from presence, instead swapping presence with a bright smile and eyes that brimmed with curiosity despite having hear this description of his father a million times over.

A splitting image, this always made me feel good, namely because when I looked upon myself in a mirror, I could somewhat picture what he looked like, and with that it was better than mentally seeing him as this faceless being that incessantly roamed throughout my mind. My eyes and attention failed to falter as my mothers soft hand landed upon my head, shuffling my hair seconds after. She continued on, and in turn I listened with full focus. Momentarily I turned away and took a few step, childishly kicking up emerald blades and small bodies of earth while my left hand sifted through my jackets pocket, searching odds and ends for that kunai. I began to spin it around my index finger as the others curled inwardly as to keep me from cutting myself.

"If you ever hope to become even a fraction of what your father was, my love, you'll need to find that balance."

Finding balance huh, it didn't sound easy, at least not from the way she explained it, and honestly, I didn't expect it to be easy, it wouldn't make me stronger if it was anything other than difficult. "Rage and Serenity huh - sounds hard, but its nothing I can handle hehehe. . .Saaay, whats this mark on this kunai, I've never actually asked you whats its for before. HAHA it might be my source of Power! I feel unbeatable with it!!

With a large smile creeping upon my face, I held this kunai in a reverse blade, swing away at the openess of air as if I'd been fighting some invisible ninja. The imagination of a kid was always limitless.
