[/i] Paper fluttered forth from the jonin’s body, and with a single seal, the parchment morphed, two simulacrums formed – one standing five meters to his left and the other five to the right. The clones stood by the Shikigami silently, split images of the Sandaime Hokage, distinguishable only by chakra-sensing eyes.

”I must test your skills in battle before we set out on a mission. Stand before me and fight me. We will not use lethal force, but fight fiercely nonetheless, for only then can I gain an understanding of your experience, your familiarity with conflict.[/i]

Jiyuu turned on his heel, bunshin following him, hasty steps carrying him twenty meters away from the trio, twirling around to face the group again. One clone stood five meters to his right and five meters ahead, while the other awaited five meters to his left. The challenge to engage him in battle was spouted rather abruptly, but what better time to do this than when these shinobi are unfamiliar with one another? Their ability to think will be pushed to its limits, for they must adapt to the changing circumstances, the new information gained on their comrade’s abilities. A soldier must adapt.

The Shikigami shouted, voice deep and mighty, ”Begin.”[/i] Warily, he awaited their actions.

Special: Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained up to a maximum of five clones. When struck, the paper clone will disperse into a clump of paper which can then be reused (at another high cost of chakra) to form another bunshin.
Description: With a sufficient amount of paper, the user forms a single seal and calls them together in order to form a perfect clone of themselves. Unlike regular bunshin, the paper clone has substance, can move at improved speeds, and best of all, scatters when struck for re-use. Although the clone is not spawned with the user's inventory, they will attain whatever main weaponry the user has at the time, if any. These clones can perform c-ranked or lower Shikigami techniques.

Techniques: List all of the techniques the summoning has.

1) What is the limitation for equipment in regards to amount of packs carried and maximum ryo spent? Primates, for example can justifiably use weaponry such as kunai and grenades, but that leaves open the question of just how much.

2) Can primates wear protectorates?

3) Do summons receive the three mastery perks?

Keep in mind summons may only use basic releases, Taijutsu and Genjutsu, making things like Kekkei Touta unattainable!

4) Can summons no longer learn Univeral Ninjutsu and Universal Taijutsu or is that an oversight?

5) Genjutsu now requires lm/admin permission. Is that also the case for summons?

6) Taijutsu primary is the only restriction on Hachimontonkou. What's the verdict on mythical summons and Hachimontonkou?

For some time, Jiyuu entertained the thought of forming a squad. He soared in the skies, distinguishing wings of the Shikigami keeping him aloft, overhearing the conversation of the two shinobi beneath. The Shikigami recalled only one other Jounin, Kohana Hyuuga. She was a capable warrior as witnessed during the siege on the Hokage’s castle, hands lashing out with a petrifying ferocity. Jiyuu trusted her to fight at his side, firmly believing that his life was safe in her hands, but the man was doubtful in her ability to properly mold genin. It was not merely her. He trusted no other shinobi to sculpture the fledglings, to prepare them for the abject, amoral terror that ruled outside the village walls. Teaching the skills and discipline of a soldier requires only dedication. While still a vital part of their development, the fundaments were overshadowed by am imperative of task – one that requires neither talent nor finesse in the art of leadership.

One thing was paramount; an insight into the minds of men torn by war – an understanding of the depths to which one can descent, the sins towards which a man can feel compelled when surrounded by murder. Only by one versed in such shameful matters can the novices be taught and prepared so that they cling tightly to their moral sensibilities even in the grimmest of times– these sensibilities are crucial in war, when one’s purpose is no more than to slay. The genin must be taught properly of death’s implications; an evident aspect of battle –yet the greatest danger is oft overseen, nonchalance. Yes, they lived in a war-torn world, but that ultimate dissolution, death, was no less severe, be it an adversary or comrade. Many a shinobi believe to be fully prepared to take a life and others, disturbingly, enjoy it, but the problem lies elsewhere. Indifference. When a man becomes aloof towards the lives he takes, he has descended to the greatest depths. Jiyuu swore to himself that he would teach these shinobi, indoctrinate that sole belief in them, to never fully lose sympathy. After such a severe loss, inevitably, one’s ideals become plagued with a war-shaped morality. That most vile of roads certainly allows for the simplest path, but it will weigh heavily upon the mind and soul.

Jiyuu descended into the training fields, the distinguishing paper wings of the Shikigami fluttering as they carried the former Hokage downwards. He landed close to the tree, only several meters from Sora and Norio. Jiyuu donned the gear that had become familiar as of late – ANBU armor, dyed completely white, including the mask, no signs hinting at the origin of the equipment. He joined ANBU several years ago, but their decline had already begun. A hole has been cut into the mask where the mouth is located, allowing a breathing mask to reach through without fully relinquishing the protection of the face. Jiyuu steel gray eyes shifted in-between the two, drawing in their features. Raspy breaths escaped through the breath mask. ”I have heard of your interest in a squad.”

[/color] Jiyuu said, voice dimmed by the breath mask. With a slip of the right hand, the Shikigami removed both the ANBU mask and breath mask. His black hairs were cut short, but rather wild, little effort taken into trimming them. Heavy bags rested beneath his eyes, hinting at exhaustion, a notion further supported by the strands of gray hairs covering Jiyuu’s head.

”I am Tenrai, Jiyuu. Jounin, Sandaime Hokage, blessed with the blood of the Paper Angels. Excellent, that you wish to form a squad, as organization amongst our shinobi has been lacking. The Shikigami slumped his shoulders, voice growing deeper as Jiyuu leaned forward, lips momentarily forming into a frown as he continued. The thought of revealing the dangers to potential shinobi send a shiver through his spine – for the task was wretchedly difficult.”But if you are interested, I do warn you that it will not be a simple path. Nor a pleasant one. I will show you what war does to us. How the fear of death, the inevitability of violence corrupts the mind. I will show you what soldiers do at their worst. Even peasants. It will be wretched to see. Perhaps you have seen the surface. I will lead you deeper.”

Jiyuu paused for some moments, allowing the words to be processed. In retrospect, those words seemed much more brash than he had intended.”I show you not to stir dread in your hearts. No. I do it to reveal one of your possible paths. You can become men just like the ones I will show you. Murderers. Scoundrels. Criminals. The life of a shinobi can do that. I must guide you, so you do not go down the same path. It will not be simple. The tempatation is great.” Again, he fell silent for a moment. ”If, still, you are interested, then know one last thing. I have confidence in your abilities. When we depart onto missions, the tasks will not be simple, petty, monotonous, juvenile employment. Your life will be at risk. You will be in great danger with many things we do, for only then can you be properly prepared, facing the world as it must be.” And in conclusion, with a mighty confidence he said,”Even if I lead you to peril, I swear to you that even if you face the greatest of menace I will stand before you, and guard your lives amidst even the greatest of chaos. Please keep in mind the deflection must be realistic, as it is impossible to redirect large, area covering objects or abstract concepts, such a meteors, giant monsters, streams of fire, lightning bolts, love, emotions, the meaning of life, sexuality, etc.
Description: The most basic of all deflection techniques, a simple smacking away with a bit of force. Made possible by a combination of a strong wrist movement, firm grip and the design of a slender sword. When confronted with a basic level attack, the user watches the direction it's coming and simply taps it a bit to send it of course. Once moved, this leaves an immediate opening for the user to strike with their own technique.

Special: A technique in which the user applies their melee countering abilities to a ranged threat. By watching the trajectory in which it approaches and the velocity it travels at, the user deduces the proper form and amount of push to send the object hurling safely away from them. The user's 'Exquisite Counter' rank determines the distance they can possibly deflect, with the 'D' rank starting at 10 meters, and each extra rank adding 10 more. Deflecting moves in a straight line whereever the user aims, and retains the same speed it originally carried on its way to the user. Can deflect up to one (1) object, plus one more each time retrained.
Description: A practiced technique that allows the user to transfer what they know about blocking melee attacks on to deflecting away ranged ones. The tricky part comes with learning how to judge speed and angle but that comes with time. Eventually the user learns how to whip their sword about in a way that stops most things in the air from reaching them.

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered is a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log) the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. This technique however requires them to be very delicate with their chakra control, as they are not only imprinting the letters of the seal, but the chakra needed to power it as well. This technique causes slight discomfort for a living target and if it is used directly on flesh, it will scar.

Special: The rank of Keiyaku Fuuin known determines the rank of the summoned creature that can be sealed. The 'S' rank of this technique is capable of sealing a summoning family's Sage. The user needs to touch the Summoner for the seal to work. This technique removes the Summoner's control over the summon, and they are incapable of summoning it again afterward. The user of this seal does not gain the ability to use the sealed summon. Likewise, the effects are set onto a particular summon, so if the target summons a different creature from the same tree the seal will have to be reapplied.
Description: After performing a set of handseals, the user must focus chakra into their dominant hand and place their palm upon the target. A quick connection is made between the two chakra systems and the seal is activated, removing the target's control over their summoned creature for a short time. The creature, no longer held to the thread by its user, disappears.

Description: The user unravels a scroll and writes the needed sealing incantation upon it, leaving a space in the center blank. After performing the needed handseals, vapor appears from the scroll and envelops the element that the user is trying to seal, sucking it inside. The kanji for seal (封) appears in the center, certifying the technique's completion. To activate the scroll at a later time, the user imbibes the scroll with a Low amount of chakra and breaks the seal. The sealed element is then released, perfect for circumventing damage from a dangerous enemy.

Description: Gofuu Kekkai is a Barrier type Fuuinjutsu utilized to keep unwanted agents away from a specific area. The five "kin", or prohibition seals, act together to form a very strong barrier. The main entrance, as chosen by the Seal's user, is marked with one tag, and four other tags are located within a fixed, close perimeter of the original. To remove the barrier, all five tags must be removed at the same moment. Using any kind of physical attack to try and destroy something in the barrier is folly, as it will only lead to injury, where the barrier re-directs the destructive force of an incoming attack back out towards its user.

Description: This technique paralyses an opponent for a brief amount of time. The user performs the required hand seals, then places their hand on their opponent. Even a light touch is sufficient. A black '+' shape will appear on the opponent's body where contact was made. Immediately, short black lines will spread out from the initial mark, covering the victim's limbs. The opponent's body will be frozen in mid-motion as the muscles are forcibly locked into position by the seal's chakra, leaving them totally paralyzed until the seal wears off.

Otherwise, the ANBU will struggle to take over the opponent's chakra with their own. With the person frozen in place, the ninja can either take the opportunity to attack or to retreat.

Description: The ability to control individual sheets of paper allows the user to temporarily shift form and turn themselves into paper, float away as several sheets of paper, and then reform somewhere else. After handseals, and just before an attack lands the user shifts into nothing but sheets of paper, floats about, and then reforms somewhere else. The paper can be any color, or form that the person wishes. In this form the user cannot use or control any other sheets of paper besides those that represent their 'being', and these sheets cannot be used to attack.

Description: An offset of the Pepa Bunshin no Jutsu, this ability allows the user to create the appearance of someone other than him or herself.
