International affairs were not something Fumiko was acquainted with, however she found it odd that the term 'neutral ground' was used to describe an appropriate meeting please. Wouldn't that mean a location that is selected by neither village and is not in any way within the bounds or advantageous to either Kage? She thought that was the case, but Osoguri, although green in title, had the right idea with his own counter-proposition. Since Iwagakure was requesting the alliance, it was only proper form that the sealing of such an agreement would be held within Suna territory. In that case, she was glad of the refusal, but tense at the same time as her eyes locked on the foreign shinobi.
How would he react she wondered? Would his own Kage foresee this as a dereliction of duty, or a failure of the same cause? Regardless of what he thought, it would be suicidal for him to react out of rage or hostility, and it was with that reassurance she was able to offer him pleasantries, albeit belated as they were, shortly after Sui made his own departure after the Kazekage. She too, would have to be brief for she had to catch up to her teammates as well.
"May the stars guide you home." She said softly and then offered him another bow, as was the proper custom in her family. In her mind he was her superior, for he was a foreign ambassador, and as such he deserved respect, even if his negotiations didn't go quite as he hoped. With that, she hoped he found his way home safety and allowed the previously swirling sand to fall loosely at the soles of her feet and thereafter be swept up and away by shifting sandals.
She smiled warmly and then was off, trotting after Sui and Osoguri.
[Exit.]
