Things felt like they were all hitting him, at the odd discovery of the man's confession of being a fish, to the lady interrogating the new man, to his accusation of his status. He just wanted to make money to eat, but it seemed that he would be forced to act, most likely with hostility. He hated that twisting feeling in his stomach as his life was threatened. In an act of desperation, he pleaded, "Please, lets not fight!"

As the man formed seals, Yuki responded with his own hands rapidly forming signs. He would not hurt the man, at least not kill him, but he couldn't let him continue to attack. He had plenty of time to cast his jutsu, as he was making a fifteen meter dash before he would unleash the abilities of his own technique. The effects of the genjutsu would quickly take notice surely, as it was targeted at the threatening man who was placed 10m away at the time. His legs would feel like jelly, losing almost all feeling, and the task of running now nearing impossible.

This was only part of a two part tactic. He had subdued the man somewhat, but he could still attack. Chakra coursing through his entire body, mainly at the soles of his feet, and he with this stimulus he would charge forward, in the movement he would appear like a flicker. He would reappear in front of the man.

Safe to attack now, as his legs had no feeling whatsoever, and his hands were distracted, still holding that same seal as he was wishing to cast the jutsu. Within this moment, he swung his leg out, aiming to swipe the attacker's legs and throw him off balance. The inability to properly move his legs at full speed would be most detrimental, most likely forcing him to fall onto his chest.

If all went well, and the man lay on the ground before him, he would simply utter, "I don't want to fight you, please understand I'm not an enemy!" Much emphasis on the word 'not.'

After a minute of thinking passed, he finally heard the echo of a voice, a masculine one, though unfamiliar. Definitely not someone he's met before. Looking up, he discovered it to be two people, observing him from above. From the 1/4 mile distance, he couldn't figure out much about the figures, though one seemed to be bundled up and the other appeared to have long hair. Were they natives? That was the most he could assume, as they appeared to be interrogating him, either they were cautious of an invader or lost just like him.

He saw no reason to not answer, so using a loud enough voice to hope the echoes would transmit his voice this high, he proclaimed, "No! I come from a land with a bunch of forests!" Unaware of the name of his own homeland, he simply responded with that answer. Curious to talk to these people, he scaled the area to find a way up, though that'd involve the mile long walk back.

Adventuring around this cliff-filled area, Yuki found himself walking in a small ravine. It appeared to have been some sort of walk-through for travelers. As he walked, he realized he's be required to stop, encountering a second ravine, 30m long, making a jump impossible for him. The deep pit of darkness contradicted anything the boy knew about how they were formed, making him believe it was man made.

With this chance he examined his surroundings, distancing himself from the pit 5 meters. The space between the two walls of rock were about 20 meters. The steep cliffs went up for at least a quarter of a mile. He couldn't believe what an area he found himself. The surface below him was a hard rock, with evidence of the surrounding walls deterioration laying abundant. The skies were cloudy, possibly foretelling a soon to come storm, which was too common for this land.

With a deep exhale, he had to admit he was in a bit of a problem. He wondered if he should bother to cross it, or go back the way he came. Strange, he's never encountered a problem solving issue similar to this. It was exhilarating to do so, but he couldn't let himself remain in this dead end forever. Perhaps he could encounter someone out here?

Yuki was anticipating the response of the man, before even knowing anything about him, not even a name. Then he felt a weird presence. Overshadowed, someone towering above him, two of them. In confusion, he glanced behind him, the same bulky woman who had attempted to have her ways with him had returned, a burly man. He had a good foot over Yuki in height, the hair covering his body basically anywhere visible. He created a weird feeling in the adolescent. Intimidation.

"That's him, that's the boy who wouldn't answer my surveys!" The woman cried in the way a spoiled child plead to a parent, to this other man, who was starting to appear to be a lover apparently. He Glancing to her, the anger on her face apparent, then locked eyes again with Yuki, cracking his knuckles. Wary of a battle, he attempted to block an attack he anticipated with his buckler, though the agility of this man surpassed him. Temporary blackness filled his world.

With a raging headache, he woke up on the hard earth, in the middle of nowhere. Distraught at the previous events, or at least he guessed to be previous. No idea where he was, as he slowly stood, looking around the area. The inn was no longer in sight, and he was on his own.

The man almost seemed to zone out of the conversation, leaving Yuki at somewhat of a cliffhanger. This idea still menacing itself in his head. He preferred making money in ways that involved not killing, though he surely would do so if it was required for him to get his next paycheck. But he also questioned his ability to hunt others. They wouldn't have become noteworthy if they weren't strong. The non-ninja himself was strong, at least he believed so after the intense training his father administered. Though he never actually tested this in real combat.

As the man responded in a way that let down Yuki, he let the message soak in. So even if he made money with this method, it was still just a search for hire sort of deal. This was obviously a lesson that he would have to rely on his searching skills to find work. Or not? Quickly after saying that, the man rose, and invited the teen to accompany him. While it was still searching, he knew two people would be more helpful.

With a smile returning he stood up in response, and excitedly spoke, "That sounds great!" With the sound of the fight finally registering in his mind, he turned to watch, things were starting to get a little bloody, but as each second passed they seemed more drunk with each attack as well. Hooligans, was a word that came to mind, and soon pondered the difficulty of telling the difference between criminal and drunk. Turning back to the man, he questioned, "Can we really tell whose worth turning in or not? Everyone here seems like a bad person..." He scolded himself mentally for speaking such an insult, but he kept it quiet enough so he wouldn't catch the attention of those other men and hurt their feelings.
