Hearing the details of the mission handed him, Aneun answered with but a nod as his mind contemplated the details given to him. While not privy to information regarding other countries, for there to already be an invader on the recently destroyed Mist seemed odd. What could anyone gain from attacking a rundown city bereft of its resources and military power. Even its leaders were nothing but puppets playing along to Konoha's tune. Nevertheless, a mission was given and he would deal with it as he always did; shove the responsibility onto someone else should things go bad.

And the game was afoot! Performing a one-eighty turn, he walked away from the Hokage's presence with but a grin on his face. As he walked, his arms waved to and fro wave in a seemingly random manner. In truth, he was dancing and moving to his inner tune and acting similar to a composer orchestrating the opening melody of a concert. "Not yet. Not yet. Not. . . yet." He thought to himself as he carried along.

/Exit.

Eying the pin tossed his way, Aneun would catch the object in his left palm before inspecting it closely. He had seen this object before on his teammate Jack whom was of the Chuunin rank. That, in tandem with the Hokage's words confirmed the reality that he'd been promoted. "Ahaha. Sweet." He said while taking a moment to inspect the pin; an almost uncontrollable joy surged within him. For once in his life, pleading had gotten him somewhere. He cared not if his pleading had sounded like begging because in reality, he was indeed begging for the promotion. Genin life had turned out too restricting for his free spirited nature and only by raising in rank would he be free to do as he pleased. With the pin in hand, he had taken one step closer to his ideal lifestyle.

Placing the object in his pocket, Aneun would indeed not adorn the object as Asato predicted. He was not one to flaunt his accomplishments needlessly.

"If there isn't anything else you need, I have a mission I must attend to. Unless there is something you need of me." He would wait for the Hokage's reply before even attempting to leave. It wasn't smart to annoy the man so soon after a promotion. Although there wasn't much else he could do here other than get on the Hokage's nerve -- not a smart idea as he didn't want to be demoted on the same day he was promoted.

Stuck in a daze at his embarrassing moment, the sound of disaster as Akuseru nearly fell to his death brought the Genin back to his senses. Jolted to the reality of his mistake and the ever looming death threat on them, he quickly recomposed himself and took off after Calypso.

Aneun arrived moments after Jack to see the feline enter the complex and shortly before Akuseru, to annoyingly witness the furry creature exit the complex free of any possessions. A most obvious of comments from his would-be leader led him to break out into a nervous sweat. It was already one thing to have the threat of execution above their heads but he did not know if his teammates knew of the dangers that awaited them. This had not been the first time the Genin encountered the Jounin restricted level, for he frequently attempted to spy on his female superiors in the name of research and training. Needless to say, he never got far with his studies.

"P-p-panties? What was that about panties? Women's right? I don't do men. How did I not kno--" A sudden pause in speech as he realized what he was talking about and whom he was talking to. "I mean, I know for a fact we are not allowed in there. I totally don't care about panties but we must get in there. The linge--. . . sprout is waiting for us."

As countless racy thoughts played in his mind, a comment brought the Genin's attention to the one whom made it. Akuseru blatantly placing the duty of retrieving the plant on him did not sit well with Aneun. Even the audacity of his compatriot to attempt an encouraging gesture made him all the more annoyed. There was no way in hell he would take responsibility for losing the sprout when it was Akuseru and Jack's duty. "Uuuh, screw you. It was your duty and Jack's to watch the plant. Sharingan? How the hell is that gonna help me? You think this shit is like the Byakugan? Do I look like a Hyuuga to you? I can't see through walls you dunce. God speed, my ass. Like hell I'm going in there alone."

Kneeling down on one knee before pulling a scroll from his pouch, the Genin unveiled a portion of the parchment to wave his fingers across its surface. In an instant he drew a collection of mice whom, after forming a single hand seal, would leap off the page and enter the complex. Deactivating his Sharingan before closing his eyes, a psychic link formed between him and his 20 creations as they scouted the area with ease. Surely he would find the sprout in no time.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" A woman's scream of deafening levels emanated from down the hall parallel to the window the trio stood around near moments after the mice had entered. Following the ear piercing yell, an object of decent size zoomed out the window; landing squarely on Aneun's face and knocking him right on his ass. The object was a metal bin filled with an assortment of trash that covered the Genin as he lay in a daze. "Aneun! I told you I would kill you if you tried something again! After I get dressed, you're dead!" A woman's voice said before the sound of a door slammed shut. The poor lad however, had no idea what happened as his focus was on his creations, and all he could remember before the pain was white. White and pink to be exact, along with veritable mountains that stood between them and salvation.

"F-f-found i-i-it. . ." Aneun said in pain as he struggled to sit up before clearing some of the trash off him. Although unsure of it, he had managed to catch a glimpse of something plant-like in the room the female Jounin resided in. ". . . with the she-devil. . . I say we abandon all hope." He said looking rather unconvincing with a suspect bloody nose.

{!!}Choujuu Giga - Mid

"Catnip?" Aneun questioned the reasoning for why Jack would order the fleeing Genin to purchase catnip of all things. That is, until he turned to face his soon-to-be former teammates in time to eye the furry feline whom had possession of the plant; a plant that would determine the fate of the trio. With fear guiding his actions, Aneun darted with speed well beyond his level, right past Jack, and diving right out the window moments after Akuseru -- plate and doughnut still in hand.

"I refuse to die by the hands of a goddamn cat!" He yelled after landing on the rooftop and giving chase immediately.

The small critter however, proved to be a worthy foe as it darted too and fro with an agility none of them could hope to match. Watching helplessly as the creature inched farther and farther away with their only lifeline, Aneun felt a surge of motivation he'd never experienced before. In his time of need, his bloodline activated without his realization. Crimson eyes focused on the creatures swift movements in hopes of predicting where the feline would go, but even with the Sharingan, he could barely keep up with the creatures speed. He would however, be able to identify the destroyer of worlds as one Calypso, his own sister's cat whom he'd seen many times before. Realizing the severity of the situation, he came up with a plan.

With a swing of his left arm, the plate he once held darted forth toward the creature intent on bombarding it. Like their hopes and dreams, the dinnerware shattered as it connected with the rooftop but not before causing the cat to take to the sky. Having waited for this moment, Aneun let loose the object in his right with all his strength. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" He roared with all his might as the tossed object flew on a direct course for Calypso; a resounding "boing" heard as the half-eaten whole wheat doughnut collided with the cat, leaving it unharmed.

Landing on a pillar a few houses over, Calypso stopped to look back at the bowlcut Genin whom at this point was frozen in his throwing position; a dumbfounded look plastered to his face. A dull silence fell over the area as they exchanged looks before Caplypso took off once again toward a large structure in the distance. On closer inspection one would know it to be the Hokage complex. Aneun however, could only shed a tear on the inside at the waste of his perfectly, delicious doughnut. And never before had he regretted a whole wheat doughnut until now -- wishing he favored croissants or better yet, baguettes.

Reluctance weighed upon Aneun with every step he took toward the Hokage's office. Recently returning from a war, he wanted nothing more than to take a nice long break, but fate would not allow it this day. He was designated by his allies as the one to report the events that transpired in Miyako. Mostly due to his involvement in taking down one of its key structures and the plan being one he, himself had created.

This was not the first time Aneun met the Hokage in a one-on-one situation but never did he enjoy their interactions. The animosity held between himself and his sister - the Hokage's wife - made the relationship between him and the Hokage that much more dreadful for the Genin. Even if Asato never said anything, Aneun could feel the ill intentions directed at him every time he talked. Normally he would not even bother reporting in to the Hokage and choose simply to avoid the man at all cost but this time he had no choice. It was either report in or risk having to fake the man in a more hostile situation; something Aneun wished to avoid at all cost.

"I'm here to meet the Hokage." He would say nervously to the receptionist sitting near the Hokage's office.
