izumi omoi ( hyūga )

BIRTH NAME, prior to his parent's untimely end, he was named ikari, haru umeinami in spite of the hyūga ichizoku. during their retrieval of the infant hyūga, his clan gifted him with the name he bears today, izumi omoi, meaning 'fountain of knowledge, or deep thought'.

ANATOMY, centrally, the youth is defined by his calm mannerisms and a sophisticated allure in equal parts noble and enigmatic, otherworldly even. duly, the willowy hyūga's lofty countenance can be viewed as either faerie-like, or immaculate; his facial features framed slenderly, while outlined by high, elegant cheekbones and a sharp, relatively narrow jaw-line. upturned, muted silver eyes peer over a slightly aquiline nose and pale lips, while aligned with pinned, unorthodoxly elf-like ears – these features the constituents of a complexion that is unmarked and fair. his skin – pale, tight, and alabaster-esque – is accented seamlessly by lengthy pale-blond hair, which is moderately dense, though soft to the touch. it's usually worn in a simple, loose ponytail, infrequently let down, that can occasionally be seen braided in the same loose fashion, with a few keen tresses of hair falling to frame his face on either side; his thin, sharp eyebrows are composed of a darker tinge of this same pale-blond. on from his pleasant visage, the youth's spry physique could easily be considered the epitome of both nimbleness and dexterity; perfectly flexible, while unfettered by any excess fat, or muscle, which only serve as liabilities within the gentle fist style of fighting he was raised alongside – not to say his body is completely devoid of either, though both are set at the bare minimum required in order for him to sustain peak agility, and to remain as light-weight on his feet as possible. grace itself can synopse his anatomy.

APPAREL, izumi has an affection for free-flowing tops, tight-fitting bottoms, and narrow, light-weight shoes, usually covered by a cloak of some sort. however, the kumo-nin is usually seen in an outfit much more strategic and combat-oriented than regular attire. a set of robes ordered from a foreign land, said to be worn by training, apprentice samurai, izumi took a liking to them early on, and has since adopted his own, unique form of the attire. an all-black version (❖) – black undertunic, overtunic (❖), tight pants, tabi's (❖), and outer robe – which is paired with a horned, white mask (❖), whose upper, black-filmed slits allow for his eye's concealment. in addition, years before his return to the cloud, during a lengthy stint in the land of rice, otogakure in particular, the youth would adopt and eventually grow fond of their unique style of wear, and is thusly often found garbed in the raiments of oto. though in style they vary (❖) (❖) (❖), each set of garments consist of elegant, flowing tops, some open at the torso, and tight-fitting, darker bottoms, while middled by a purple, rope sash belt, fastening them together; these may be coupled as well with his modified hannya mask. should his agenda not consist of shinobi duties, he will commonly don any of a variety of black coats, his most worn being either a hooded trench (❖), or long and hooded (❖). PSYCHE, owing highly to his meditations and tutelage under the hyūga ichizoku's elite, izumi has developed a supreme discipline and faultless, absolute control over his emotions, manifested most plainly in the peacefully calm, finely composed manner in which he conducts himself. while judged by many as an introvert, the youth is, in truth, extremely confident in himself, as evidenced by the noble air he exudes, instead lacking, to put it simply, an understanding in how to form healthy relationships – the curse accompanying his harsh, cold childhood, and utter dedication to prior teachings. perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of izumi's is his phenomenal intelligence, which may, at times, attribute as well to his inability to relate well with others. coupled with an overactive memory, as well a clear, sharp mind, he has been trained to analyze and solve problems by use of logic regardless of pain, combat, or even the stress of several simultaneous tasks. utilizing his ingenuity, and as well resulting from years spent as a mere vagabond – disguising himself under aliases, relying upon his own resourcefulness to survive – izumi has become a master of deception, sly and silver-tongued. understanding early on that all he could ever entirely count on was himself, the youth has grown to become overly independent, whether it be socially or intellectually, and completely self-reliant – qualities cultivated by an innate nature of fearlessness. a free-thinker, unconfined by any fetter of the mind, and self-proclaimed philosopher-of-sorts, he is often found deep in thought, contemplating such things as life, order and disorder, reality and illusion, or the meaning of their vast and ever-changing world. an enlightened soul, mere words are regardless unable to effectively define who izumi truly is; understanding that his mind shapes the world around him, he can adapt his psyche to most any outside circumstance.
