Kyo quickly thanked the gentlemen as much as he could for everything he had done. Kyo was anxious to get to the town and was about to head off on the path but turned around to ask a few more questions. First he asked if he had any spare water, seeing he had barely any, most of which was from collecting due off plants. The traveler pleasantly handed over a drink.
Next Kyo asked for a more descriptive route into the city. He had not felt that the city could be as simple as to just walk straight; and he was right to think that way. The Traveler began to give step by step instructions to the city, but he listed it as if Kyo had been a master direction taker. Kyo looked blankly at the Traveler who sat there and smiled waiting for Kyo’s next question. Kyo needed to remember all of this if he wanted to really reach civilization. A once over of the directions would of course lead a misunderstanding or mistake in Kyo’s interpretation.
He had the traveler list the directions again but this time with a little bit of help. The trail had been well mapped out because it was now a common trade route. However it was still easy to get lost again if one did not listen carefully. So he needed to know to go down the trail about 2 more miles, at which point he would come to a fork in the road, and he just need to stay to the right to make it to the town. He will also come to two more paths that will break off from the trail he was on. At the second path on his right he will turn again, and follow that another 5 miles to the city. Kyo repeated this resourceful information several times, and clarified what he was doing with the traveler; before he went on his way.
