Kyo awoke as the first rays of sunlight peaked through the trees and struck his face. The morning sun was irritating his eyes and at last he could sleep no more. It was time to continue on his journey. He had been having the same dream over and over again, from the Great War that had whipped out most of existence. The dream had him, seeing people die in front of his eyes. Them looking at him and smiling. Someone would step into help him before they too would die.
Having spent most of his time away from combat, being a frightened child, he couldn’t help but feel useless. He needed to change this. He needed to become stronger. He wated to clear his mind of this dream, and to do this he needed to change himself. This was not possible in his old devastated village of waterfall; thus he needed to travel.
He had been roaming the country side for a few days, living off what he could scrounge up for food and water. He would occasionally see passing travelers and ask them where they had been heading. He soon learned that a substantial amount of people have survived, and that everyone was working to rebuild the 5 main nations. He knew if he wanted to become more powerful, to redeem himself of his actions during the war this is where he would have to head. He had to first decide on the village he would wish to enter. Kyo would have to think long and hard about this question, because it would ultimate sculpt the training path he would be able to follow.
He thought to himself and would list different regions to travel too. He thought first he would travel to the hidden mist village, the origin of his clan. His logic was, here the most people would know his clan techniques and this could be to his advantage to develop his clan techniques even more. However at the same time a wave of reason to decide upon a new destination hit him. Who knew what had happened during the war and what other Kaguya members had been left. At the same time, he had never been to mist in the simple 10 years of his existence, and didn’t even know if this was the true origins of his clan. There had been rumors that others had been in the land of fang, but that was not what he was looking for. He then also thought about how he was limited in his abilities. Traveling to mist would mean water manipulation for an overwhelming amount of local techniques. He would have to move on again. He strolled along a path. He had no other choice in the direction he had to go to arrive at any of the main nations.
As Kyo walked he discovered what the only place he should go. The only place he would be able to learn in the most well rounded way of all his techniques. The only place he could go. Most importantly now, the only place he wanted to go. This was Tsuchi no kuno, the earth country. He had a large understanding of his clan’s techniques, already knowing multiple dances. Kyo would be able to train himself within clan techniques and that resolved his desire to find other members of his clan. On the other hand, kyo was able to manipulate earth; just he had no really techniques with this ability. The idea could not have been more perfect, travel to earth country would mean learning earth techniques. It was easy as 1,2,3…
Off he went redirecting himself in the direction of earth country. Luckily his aimless wondering had brought him nearby. Or so he hoped, he had no real way to know where he was going or how long it would take to reach civilization again.......
