Description: The user forms the hand seals, designating their target within their range. Immediately, the target will begin to slow, perceiving everything around them as occurring at an incredibly fast speed. In reality, this Genjutsu has slowed their perceptions, and in doing so reduced their reflexes and physical abilities to match the new, slower speed of their mind. From the outside, it might appear as though the target is moving through molasses, as their body slows with their mind.

Description: The user forms the hand seals, designating their target within their range. Immediately, the target will perceive all four of their limbs being bound to the ground. The user is free to chose how the technique appears; one user might make it appear as though the target is being bound by chains, while another might make it appear as though roots have grown out of the ground and bound the target. The target will feel as though these bonds are unbreakable.

Special: Range, duration, and targeting is determined by the user's fundamental Genjutsu techniques. This technique is subject to the standard rules of break-ability for all Genjutsu. The target must first look the user in the eyes or be in physical contact with the user; after two seconds of this link, the illusion begins. Can be used once per thread, plus one more for each time retrained.
Description: The user forms the hand seals, designating their target within their range and making a link with the target. After two seconds, that target will find the world around them fading, replaced by blackness and faint stars in all directions. The target will be left in this cosmic realm, completely alone except for the slow swirling of the universe, for what subjectively feels like a month for every second they are captured. This causes enormous mental fatigue once the technique is released, as the target's mind is convinced that they have not slept, communicated, moved, or consumed any nutrients for several months.

Allows the user to move and react at 200% their normal speed for the duration of the technique. After the technique is complete the user is mentally and physically fatigued for a number of rounds equal to this technique's use.
Description: The user forms the hand seals, designating themselves as the target of their illusion. The user forces their own mind to accelerate, improving their perceptions and reflexes. To the user, the entire world slows into a dream-like slowness, which they drift through with ease and time to spare. This allows the user to make very precise and measured movements, increasing their over-all speed through efficiency of motion. However, this technique strains the user's mind, fatiguing the user after use.
Domain: Universal Genjutsu.

* Not sure if this technique would work (if I am reading it right). The fact that it is an illusion means that it isn't currently happening, i.e. you only think it is. So, if you think that you can read the environment faster than you actually can isn't that a disadvantage for you. Your perception hasn't actually increased it has been fooled to think it has - but that doesn't mean it would work.

The way I look at it is, with the Genjutsu, the user simply makes the target think that the user is moving faster than they actually are. Every boost they would receive isn't real, it is just an ability that the Genjutsu is showing the target that the user has. No real perception or whatever is being increased, though it has a huge strain on the user because he is using more mental power to give himself the abilities of the illusion. The illusion itself is just making the foe feel like they are in a slow and dream-like state.

Not a bad-sounding illusion, Circa. But no, this is actually increasing the user's speed of perception.

The mind is, quite simply, a machine. Adrenaline responses have been shown to increase various physical aspects of the human body. People's reaction time, perception time, and physical strength are all shown to react dramatically in the face of extreme stressors; i.e. the mind instructs the body into overdrive.

Given that Genjutsu is, by definition, techniques which effect the mind, this technique is laid into the user's own mind, forcing it to trigger those reactions that increase reaction time, perception, and physical strength. Together, these allow the user to operate at twice their normal speed.

Technically, speaking, this could be a very simple illusion, actually; its only one simple trigger command being laid into the user's mind. We've seen from techniques like Koto-Amatsuki that far more powerful and complex mental instructions can be laid down with Genjutsu, even on one's self.

The one downside to that is that the human body is designed to limit its own exertions in order to protect itself; using more of one's capacity for strength than intended can tear muscles; overclocking the brain can lead to psychological and physical fatigue. Hence, the fatigue drawback.

Still not sure about it, but I understand your p.o.v. Could you please edit the domain to have the 'S' ranked fundamental technique's in order to use this. I think the ability to control a genjutsu on yourself is advanced and should be represented some way. Also, the effects of casting an illusion on yourself should be very clear. I know it says there is physical and mental strain afterwards but could it be more specific in regards to the strain that it takes?
