The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
With a slight limp and his left hand tightly pressing on his right side just below the armpit, Kayori made his way through the gates, declining the Jounin guards who offered to bring him to the hospital for medical treatment.
The day was the same as another, failing to stray away or deviate from its endless line of predecessors. Since Genryu's disappearance and the historic attack on Bakudon Gai, what little excitement for life that dwelt within Ue seemed to have spilled from his very being and into an endless pit of nullity, never to be reclaimed again. However, though it was far from excitement, a spark of interest ignited within Ue as he mulled over the idea of becoming a full fledged chunnin and finally being assigned to lead a team of prosperous genin.
It seemed as though not even a small sliver of joy laid within his heart, but it would have been expected at first glance, but truth be told, his heart had done nothing more than encase itself in a vengeful shell that coveted to taste the blood of those Kirigakure dogs who were responsible for the flagitious attack on Bakudon Gai as well as pressuring Ue to perform a shameful act upon a fellow comrade just to ensure his own survival. A cold world this one is. . .
("These Genin should be here right about now, I wonder whats taking them so long. Ah well, the day is young and peaceful, for now, a little lateness couldn't hurt.")
Drawn in thought as he stood just outside facing Konohagakure's gates with both hands snugly fitting within the confines of his pockets. Upon his mid-section was the infamous emerald flak jacket, Konoha's tradmark vest that was only awarded to the villages Chunnin and Jounin, it was a testament to Ue's leadership and responsibility of his team. A team, it was hard for him to believe that after so many years he'd finally lead his own just as his late master Genryu Uchiha lead him to be the shinobi he was to this day. Losing himself in a assortment of past memories, he began to recall upon the moment when both he and his revered teacher first met, it was a glorious moment indeed, and just the mere thought of it caused Ue to cut an uncontrollable smile.

Although I had worked years to grow it, my locks of cherry blossom hair were becoming somewhat of a pain. Not only did I arrive late for my first team mission, but now these things wouldn't keep out of my face as I made haste towards the gates of my village. I couldn't afford to miss another second, unless I wanted my sensei to ring my neck. First impressions always stick in the back of people's minds, and I'd rather not have my master thinking poorly of me.
I hadn't heard much about my master, all I knew is that he was a newly appointed chunin aswell as a male. That fact right there would make things, a little more difficult for me. I tended to, get attached to any man that I spent extended time with. Not to the point where I'd throw myself at them, but I'd have my moments with him, I was sure.
All this aside, I was quite excited with the prospect of a new team, it gave me a much needed purpose in my previously dull life. With a team, I could now properly serve my country. Hopefully, this new sensei was competent, and would be able help me train. Although I didn't have much to put on the table now, I would work hard so that I could bring my team a whole feast one day.
I would bump into quite a bit of people before arriving a tad bit late to my mission. In my rush, I would eventually go from running to a somewhat stumble followed by a short hiatus of staggered walking. I flew a feet to slam into my unknowing sensei, who I noted to be amused by something. Whether it was the sky he stared at with such intent, or something other than that, I had other things to attend to, like how I was going to make up for coming off as such a clutz. I guess a simple greeting would suffice.
Lost in thought, Ue's mind momentarily became oblivious to his surroundings, reflecting back upon his assortment of childhood memories he shared with his own sensei as a fresh genin out of the academy. Unfortunately, his blissful recognition's came to an abrupt end at the physical sensation of something warm, round, and soft. Snapping back into reality his eyes reflexively looked down as his arms arched around whomever this was back, warmly embracing them, or so it seemed. The force caused him to step back in order to prevent not only her, but himself from falling as well. She looked up at him, and he in turn looked down to her even as she turned away in a slump of shame.
"(Hrm, I'm guessing this must be one of my genin, the others having shown up. . .odd. Sora eh? Beautiful smile and face.")
Taking in the girls features, she was quite beautiful to say the least, but seemed to lack confidence or was just simply shy. Needless to say she didn't seem like the energetic type, at least from what Ue could initially gather at this juncture. His hands quickly, but genteelly moved to her shoulders, lightly moving her back to get an even better look of her face.
"Whats the matter? Embarrassed about tripping into your new Sensei? Heh, don't worry about it, its natural to be nervous I know, but its to be expected given that you're meeting you new Sensei for the first time while doing a more difficult mission than you normally would. Just try and relax, everything will be fine - trust me. "
Prior to his speech he cut the girl a quick smile as his hands dove themselves back into the confines of his pockets. Furthermore his head careened over to the side, momentarily peering past to girl to make sure the other genin (who were far from present) were coming before the gates would ultimately close. Didn't seem like they were coming at all. . .oh well.
This was worse than I thought, not only was he incredibly charming, but his looks were equally exceptional. I examined his tall, brawny figure, cherishing the rather dashing looks for myself. I would find myself at a loss of words as his soft voice caressed my ears, reassuring me of everything. In this glazed stance, I would half notice his hand placed perfectly on my bottom. Thinking back, I don't think any of us noticed, for neither I nor him made any effort to remove it from it's grasp. Instead, I was more focused on his potruding pectoral muscles than anything he was saying or doing. Half listening, I would nod as his hands slid up my arms to my shoulders, giving me the sensation of goosebumps all on the surface of my skin.
I would meet his quick smile with one of my own, which was flirtatious, yet had an air of timidness. Usually, I could collect myself and keep it cool around men, but something about his swagger made it so hard for me. I guess this was one of those moments I predicted I'd have. Not that I mind, he was rather handsome, but a less awkward introduction would have been OK too.
Then, my mind would slip from the giddy little girl I was inside, to the confident woman I wanted everyone to believe I was. We were on a mission, and while we stood here having a little romance, someone could very well come to attack. With the distance put between us, I would raise my hand to give him somewhat of a handshake.
"Sorry about that, I'm not usually so careless, are you OK Master...?"
He never cared to give me his name, so I was more or less at a loss for words. I was hoping he'd pick up on this gesture and give me his name, as well as the other gestures I was giving him previously.
Ue couldn't believe how blessed he'd been to have been given such a beautiful subordinate. As she offered a black back as he had done for her, truth be told he had to use each and every mental nerve he could to not let his eyes drift down to her more. . .sensual areas. He needed to be professional, at least while on a mission as her leader. Needless to say, he his eyes remained intertwined with her own as she stepped back and extended her hand in respect prior to speaking. "Sorry about that, I'm not usually so careless, are you OK Master...?"
"Master? ah my apologies for being so insecure with my introduction. I'm Ue of the Zenkami clan, and from now on I'll be you Squad captain. . .and maybe more. But calling me Zen would suffice, I don't want you-my team feeling feeling like I'm constantly above you."
His words fell from his tongue with a soft, velvety flow, on that seemed to have come natural to him over the years, not only was he powerful on the battlefield, but powerful in being social as well. He cut her another flirtatious grin as he pivoted upon his heels to face the road ahead of them after having refused to shake her hand, but in turn, bow while bringing her the surface of her hand to Ue's soft, gentle lips.
"Our Mission is simple, for a certain amount of time we have to guard the gates from potential enemies. . .I don't want to allow what happened in Bakudon Gai happen to Konohagakure. I'll stop them all if I have too
His soft tone escalated into a fierce, lethal tone as his words went on. Having experience the act of war within Tsuchi no kuni during the exams which was roughly a week or so ago, Ue couldn't even begin to fathom what he would do if he let his village fall to such mindless dogs. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
Ue; that was him name, so it seemed. I hadn't actually heard of the Zenkami clan until now, although, I wasn't too immersed in anything but my world as I viewed it in my confined bubble. His smile would be match of one of my own, and for a split second, our eyes would somewhat lock once again. This small moment of time, although feeling much longer, would be interrupted by Zen pivoting on his heel to face the road before us. What came next would cause me to giggle goofily and uncontrollably.
He continued his methodical wooing of me in a classy manner, taking my hand and pressing it firmly against his rather soft lips. He would arise from his bow to give another one of his intriuging speeches.
( "Our Mission is simple, for a certain amount of time we have to guard the gates from potential enemies. . .I don't want to allow what happened in Bakudon Gai happen to Konohagakure. I'll stop them all if I have too" )
I noticed the ferocity of which rose in his tone as he transitioned to the more... serious matters. It was clear we had a mutual love for our village, and this gave us more common ground between us. His affirmative and confident attitude was awfully attractive, and I wanted to show him that I was equally committed to our village.
"Personally, I'm willing to fight with every last breath in my body to protect my village, even if defeat is certain. You were there right? Do you have any idea who these terrorists were?"
The sky was pleasantly calm, devoid of the emblematic bloodlust that followed, and praised a village on the brink of war. The populace from afar seemed all the more lively, and it was almost as If news of what happened in the Earth country was nonexistent. Pleasant and equally bitter, such a realization of false peace was nauseating; something had to be done about this.
My trot was weakened, footfalls clouding any sense of health as I marched towards the gates. Weakened eyes coupled with the lust of the sun above damaging my perception, blurs were all that became visible, or at least I’d lead all on to believe. A shadow of my own reflection, I paraded without purpose, my pace gradual, and my carriage for the lack of better words, slapdash. Clothing tattered, a once elegant Kosode damaged beyond instant repair with a number of holes, tears, and slits to justify such a claim. Hakuma battle-worn, with the traces of mother earth herself staining the sallow grey. My eyes, a cold blue, one resting lower than the other; a combination of exhaustion and injury.
Short, messy brown hair, and a middle-aged face to top off this guise of helplessness, I continued on. Guarded by my own precautions and a silent spectator concealed within that which gave birth to the title of this land’s Shinobi refuge. I, but a mere premonition for things to come continued my brisk walk until the gates were within sight. Twenty meters spanned the gap, and I surely enough closed a forth of this before I came to an abrupt stop. Before me, a series of two stood; a man and a woman who seemed to be entrenched within the other’s company. Cute; regardless, I had an objective and it would be met. After all, I was protected, and I was loved by him. I had to accomplish this. With a tired posture, a tattered exterior, the only piece remaining was the dialect. So without dithering, I’d call out weakly—
“R-Ryūsuke Uchicuchi!.....I-I….” I fell over .My skin safeguarded by two layers of fortification; my outer most film, the shirt and the unions of tan eradication crafted from the most angelic intentions of true malice. Let the games begin.
As he turned around, giving his back to Sora, almost as if to be submissive, intimidated by her beauty, even as she began to speak about her commonality in protecting the Hidden leaf. Ue undoubtedly evoked his riposte mentally, however, it would have never met the light of the conversation between he and Sora as this lone, derelict silhouette faded into the horizon. Given that Ue was facing north prior to his arrival, spotting him within the middle of the cobblestone road was quite easy to say the least. A quick glance narrowed itself as if looking down the barrel of a firearm, momentarily increasing the effective of his non-doujutsu wielding eyes. Surprisingly this man, in more ways than one, resembled the Shodaime Hokage. Though from the distance it couldn't have been completely told as of yet, but his clothes seemed like a damn near carbon copy.
"Who in the hell could that possibly be. Doesn't look like one of ours. Stay on your toes Sora, in this day of age you can't be too sure about anything."
His calculative mind and crimson pools examined the staggering figure as he breach 20 meters, and in that moment a single hand went to work, completing a set of seals long before he could even advance another two meters. This ancient, age-old ritual of which had forever been the key to a ninja's power was nothing more than a silent incantation to beckon forth a duplicate comprised of raiton chakra - though as far as this man knew it was a simple academy level clone.
Needless to say the moment the this man breached the 15 meter threshold, his gaiting would have been swiftly halted and approached by this clone which was standing within arms reach of this teetering man. He uttered, a name, one that he was all to familiar with - Ryusuke. Tried as he might Ryu's surname was grossly slurred as he fell over, causing the duplicate to step back enough as to leave him too to completely fall - what a douche. Having shared a mental connection with its master, a simple command to speak would have been all that was needed to communicate with this stranger
"You don't look to good, tell me what happened, maybe I can help in some way."
Offering a helping hand while the mastermind behind it all stayed behind, he simply waited to see what could possible transpire with the appearance of this strange man.
In the midst of our lovely conversation, small man garbed in tattered clothing which bore a strong resemblence to that of the Hokage would abruptly end our conversation before I could hear Zen's reply. Both of us would hastily change attitudes to adjust to the events that faced us ahead, which we were anticipating to be rather serious. All playing aside now, we would prepare to greet whoever this was Konoha style. He appeared to be 20 meters away, his approach without haste nor any actual purpose. As he closed in on the 18 meter mark, I'd heard Zen telling me to keep my wit's about me, and I would reply to him with a nod.
15 meters would soon be the only thing between us and this tresspaser, and tensions would surely rise. My Captain would spring into action by blazing through a few seals to create a perfect clone of himself. I anticipated that the clone was made of some sort of element, for the amount of seals he made far exceeded that of an academy level jutsu. The clone would rush over to the approaching man.
Simaltaneously to the actions of Zen, I would create a replica of my own, but of me instead. I would blaze through the handseals at a pace that rivaled my Captains, and a moment or so after Zen's formed, mine would also appear. My clone would rush alongside Zen's doppleganger's right flank, with a distaance of 1 1/2 meters spanning between the replicas, while both of their master's stayed at a safe distance of 20 meters. While Zen's clone would offer the man a helping hand, my clone would stay back and stay extremely alert for any signs of aggression stemming from the strange face.
Not even the mighty village gates, which circumvented the entirety of Konohagakure, could stop the thousands of ninja that charged through from seemingly every side. Bells tolled, voices shouted, and orders were given!
Kirigakure and Sunagakure were invading, and unless the Konohagakure reacted quickly, they would end up being the second Bakudon Gai.
OOC: I understand ya'll were on a mission, but the forum-wide plot takes precedence. Consider your mission interrupted, which will allow ya'll to retreat and enter one of the three main threads that will hold the actual fights.

He entered through the village gates, giving the guards her weapons and money to hold until they would exit out again. The guards opened the gates for the Nara, with the girl upon his shoulder, and entered into the village.
The young Nara had headed out of the village with his full ANBU gear on, with a regular black robe, concealing his weapons. He had moved swiftly through the gates, as if he was in a hurry to get somewhere. With the Nidaime's permission, he would be able to travel the world for a bit.
