All I've been hearing is that "this is determined under the rules of T1", which naturally can only come into play once a battle has been accepted forthright by both parties. If you read back at the posts, Fina had changed the model of the landscape before he or Shiro began attacking each other -- and those changes not only went against the normal description of the land, but were obviously modeled to make the battle easier for him. There was no battle until Shiro responded to assail and, in that post, he questioned the fact that there would only be ONE tree around in a land that is known for it's forestry.

Why would he have to describe the details of an area he had no intentions of fighting in, under T1 regulations? This is obviously why there was no initial description. Therefore, if we were abiding by the rules of T1, wouldn't it be Shiro's post (the one where he questioned the fact that there would be only one tree, which he obviously didn't agree with) that constructed the scenery and not Fina's -- which occurred before the fight had even took place?

Nevertheless, he forfeited and I guess all of this is moot at this point. Just thought I'd make my point.

It's not just in a fight scenario where the person creating the thread has the responsibility to create the environment, Jae; it's every thread. Shiro didn't specify so Fina did. Fina turned it into a battlefield but because Shiro didn't create the environment earlier, Fina got to create the environment. Fina didn't change the environment, he made it for the first time. It doesn't just start at combat, it starts at the first post of the thread. That's why first posts are the most important. /shrug

I know I'm out of place here but I gotta say I agree with Jae and Shiro about this large field of grass located randomly in a place known for it's forestry. It's like me making a location filled with snow in the wind country to put myself at an advantage or using a dry and sunny desert in the water country, it just goes against logic. If I'm out of place posting here, I won't do it again, just giving my opinion on the matter.

Jae, you're asking the same questions that have been answered. All threads are DE, so battles can happen at any time. You don't choose which thread to make DE. This isn't NFRP.
