He was more than shocked to see his palm thrusts evaded with a swift, fluid side step maneuver. His palms struck nothing but air, as Hime already prepared a counter measure upon the evasion. She surpassed his every judgment of her. From her speed, to the very way of using the Jyuuken. Everything was an experience and something to be noted and learned. Before the sweat, that had flown violently off of his forearms, could even hit the ground she started up another technique. The increase in chakra flow in her body revealed this. In the position he was in, still having had no brought his body back in from the palm strike to evade, he wondered if he should defend himself with the Kaiten. He didn't want the Main Family Hyuuga to know he had learned one of the techniques forbidden to the Branch Family.
His teeth clenched together fiercely within his mouth. He had no option. He managed to bring his arms into his chest, still leaned over slightly from his previous attack, he defended himself as much as he could from the oncoming blow. She retaliated with her own Kaiten, and a powerful Kaiten it was. As the chakra dome emerged from nothingness it would repel him like a rubber ball bouncing off of a wall. He flew back, flying through the air, body now straightened upward from the force. His arms were still crossed over his chest. His fist clenched tightly into rocks, as his back collided with the dojo wall. The thud was loud enough to wake a hibernating bear. He repelled off the wall, falling to the wooden floor on one knee. His left foot still planted into the ground, he used his right arm to hold up his lowered body. The pain shot through his back, not disappearing swiftly at the moment he hit the wall. Instead, it slowly grew into a throbbing annoyance.
The breaths entered and exited his body like a machine, methodically going in, then out. Sweat rolled down the side of his now smooth face. The bulging veins now gone from his young facial frame. He regretted this defeat. It didn't happen often, but it happened, and each one seemed to have stung a lot more than before. However from every defeat a lesson was to be learned. Tensa struggled to find this lesson, however, reviewing the fight in his head. He was outmaneuvered, and outmatched. Even with the weights removed his speed was still nothing.
"You win this round..." The thought entered his head, as he changed his form. He rested his aching back against the dojo wall, one leg stretched outward, while the other still hunched into his chest. He slung his arm around it, making himself as comfortable as he could be.
"What exactly is the next step?" His head rose upward, facing the ceiling towering above them. The back of his head made a thud as he placed it against the wall behind him.
