How long had it been?

Days, months, years -- I could no longer tell. The last time I had exerted an effort into training I still had been apart of Sunagakure roots; doing whatever was told of me, despite me not always being on part with their doings. Needless to say, after venturing back into their land -- and causing the death of two of my former friends -- I found myself in a new land, thus, it was only right that because of such that I must devote myself to ascending to a new level; a way of further discerning my self from my Sunagakure past, per se.

So, after much contemplation I found myself back within the boundaries of a training arena; Crystal, of course, being a make-shift teacher for me, was by my side. With her, was a plethora of educational books designed for shinobi themselves. All were detailed with explicit instructions into the various elements, and how exactly they were supposed to be delved in. At this point, I was proficient in everything it detailed, but one element in particular caught my eye: Raiton.

It was rumored that Raiton, like Katon, was one of the Uchiha's most famed elements - it was only natural that I par-taked in learning such a prestigious affinity. Thus, again, with Crystal at my side I began the training into the element; it would be a challenge, but with my Sharingan I knew I'd find success. So instead of starting off small, I began with one of the most difficult techniques listed in the book itself; it's potent nature, and devastating power causing it to be leveled onto the point of forbidden.

"Follow me exactly, I need to complete this with my Sharingan." It was true, whilst formulating the seals for the technique, my mind aimlessly wandered. Memories of my past techniques flashed through my thoughts, a good deal of each having been completed due to my Sharingan -- that wasn't a bad thing, but although I could add countless amounts of techniques to my arsenal, I would never really ascend if I continued with that method. It was like a double edged sword: Sharp with the ability to kill, but coming at the price not even the user is willing to take.

It'd be dangerous, but it had to be done.

"I'm being completely serious, love. Follow my movements."

Because I lacked my Sharingan's natural ability to copy movements on the fly, and without much effort moreso, I had to really focus on the seals I was performing, and the seals Crystal was performing, to ensure that I memorized them without flaw. It was an A-ranked technique, so it was alot to remember in such a short span of time, but after several minutes of non-stop practicing I had succeed. The next step: chakra control.

Unlike the previous techniques and elements I have delved into, Raiton itself was on a completely different level; not simply because it involved formulating my chakra into something of volatile nature, but because of the way my chakra had adjusted to the calm and docile nature of Saton. Contrary to how I had to simply allow my chakra to flow to utilize the nature, for Raiton I had to take it and wield it in a completely different manner; forcing it out in small bursts.

That alone was difficult in itself -- doing so, as the book the illuminated me of all this facts told, would force the user into pain and uneasiness. In simpler terms, it was like taking my chakra, forcing it out of my body in unnatural amounts, and then having it boil around my pours until it formulated lightning. Despite such, the effects of doing such was grand enough to light my determination on fire; oh the possibilities I would be capable off when I mastered this element!

Nevertheless, though my mind wandered my body was still in full effect of training: Formulating hand seals on it's own accord even without my minds full cognition of it. It was almost as if it was running on its own gas, my mind no longer powered it, but my never ending resolve to ascend to the heights of gods kept it alive and running. It was strange, but I welcomed the feeling whole-heartedly.

time elapse: three hours.

"You sure you want to stay for this? It may get a tad bit redundant."

I spoke with clear honestly, my voice strained with pain and exhaustion despite my countenance displaying naught of any emotion. It was an acquired trait, in all honesty. Several years of hiding my intentions from everyone, allowed such to flow smoothly and unnoticeably -- a skill many in the shinobi world need to have mastered to succeed, but very few actually do. Crystal, knowing me more than anyone, even Yetsami himself, was the only one capable of discerning my true words.

Seeing me in my pain, and doing the exact opposite of what I wanted her to do, walked over to me-- her descent slow and elegant, as always-- before plopping herself in the center of my lap. The sheer weight of her body made me falter in my thoughts, but it was a good refresher; not only did I, but my brain as well, needed a quick breather - and who else was better than my girlfriend herself?

"You know I'll never leave your side, hunny." She spoke the truth, I couldn't deny that. She was the sole reason why my eyes had ascended to the level they were at right now, and the only reason my resolve never faltered over the many strenuous months. It wasn't moreso the words that she spoke to reassure me, but it was her presence alone that had such a drastic affect on my body; her voice, her touch, her smell... oh how it invigorated me more than water itself.

Ignoring her - with a smile of course - I allowed myself to continue my training even with her body blocking my vision of my hands. She acted like a blind-fold, forcing me to rely on my memories to correctly formulate the seals with utmost perfection. If not that, it was her hands caressing my own as I did so that almost obligated me to complete my goals. It was so potent...so pulling... that it almost caused me to stop everything and just, well-- in all honestly, do whatever I want with her.

timeskip; another hour.

I fell.

Not literally speaking, of course, but I let myself crash under the whim of Crystal. Her touch had done more than re-ignite my resolve, it had essentially cause it to burn so much that it ceased completely. One minute I was doing the seals with her beside my side, the next she was in my lap, and the next my lips were upon hers, caressing every inch of their very being, almost as if it was cleansing my entire body of its past sins.

Our very sensual embrace lasted quite the long time, and eventually led to many other things-- but still, deep in my mind I knew I needed to complete my technique. It had been but an hour before we stopped, our fluctuating chakra's causing us both to plunge beneath the deepest part of the lake in which we previously stood upon. It served as a reminder of my goal, and although it brought many sights that normally would have further hindered my progression, I forced myself away from my life-- if only for the time being.

Allowing my chakra to once again bring me to the surface of the lagoon, I slowly, but steadily of course, continued my movements just prior to Crystal's intrusion. Dragon, dog, monkey, tiger, dragon.... rat It was the basic formulation of seals that I had memorized: they had been difficult at first, but they soon were recognized and executed without much difficulty or even haste. Unlike before, now I was really ready to proceed to the next step.

Doing as the book foretold, the many zodiac symbols were all etched in their proper sequences, flowing harmoniously before the chakra flowing out of the bowels of my chest invigorated them - bringing them to life within seconds. It was hard to keep active, the spiraling chakra of raiton both burned and shocked me at the exact same time, but I held it as long as I could. Many moments passed, seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, I didn't give up; doing all that I could before I literally could do no more.

Without chakra, I was forced to stop.

Once more.

Did it ever end? I kept trying and trying, doing as much as I possibly could without killing myself, and still, despite everything kept failing? What was the secret? Why could I, master of the Sharingan, and one of the strongest in my entire clan, not perform such a feeble and normal technique like Ranpugan. It was simply formulating electricity -- simple, right? Wrong. I can't remember when the last time I had this much difficult was, not even my Sharingan gave me this trouble.

"You're good at everything; surely you know a trick to this?" I asked my love the next morning, she was cooking me breakfast as I pondered my thoughts, and giggled at my clear jest at her skills -- but still, I wasn't lying. Genjutsu, Taijutsu... my Sharingan; she knew more about my clan than I did even despite the fact that I lived in Sunagakure -- the beacon of all hope for Uchiha. Needless to say, she ignored me and as a result I was forced to ponder my thoughts once again, seeking an answer to my question.

Could I be forming my chakra wrong? No. Could I be going about the seals wrong? No. Was Raiton out of my skill-set? No. But what was wrong? Perhaps... no. I was fearless, and when I set my eyes on something I completed it, but this thought, even for me, was down-right crazy. There was no way I could possibly go about this, either way. But, of course, I could think of no other plausible way to do this. Maybe--

"Why don't you get a first hand look at lightning itself?" Crystal spoke after several minutes of silence, my eyes widening as a result - she giggled once more. Had she read my mind? Not even that, did she really trust my abilities to such a degree that the thought of getting near lightning itself, was feeble in comparison? I had to figure this out. "Even if that was possible, where in the world could I go to get so close up to lightning to study it?" Almost as if sensing this response by me, Crystal started to giggle again. I didn't question what was so funny, but she reassured be nonetheless.

"Kumo of course, hun."

Kumo, eh?

Can't say I thought of that as an option, such a land was so far out of my realm of consideration that it didn't even run through my thoughts. She was, unfortunately, right - there was no better place than Kumogakure, or Kaminari no Kuni specifically, to find such potent and frequent lightning strikes. Furthermore, as a nukenin, travel alone was a dangerous task... how would I possibly get to Kumo without being spotted?

Again, almost as if a mind-reader, Crystal answered my unspoken question. "It'll be simple, Sora. All we need to do is Henge ourselves into natives of the surrounding country. That alone can be down easily since you have so many different village head-bands lying around." Ah, she was very useful -- correct, too. My many souvenirs of the slain man I had killed in the past would finally come to use, and almost as quick as the thought filled my mind, we departed.

Simple hand seals allowed both me and Crystal to take the forms of a completely different appearance; the latter of which was needed not because of her name, but because of her tainted name by helping a fugitive of a nation. I had committed the worst crime imaginable, far past murder itself; if I was found by any nation friends with Suna, I'd be killed on the spot. Thus, extra precaution was put into motion to ensure that such could never occur.

We departed after everything was set, my Sharingan fully activated and aware of everything around me, whilst Crystal's medical and sensory skills came into part. It wasn't needed surely, for I knew that even if we were found by Suna nin, no one in that nation had the skills to take me, a former ANBU Falcon Captain and ANBU organization leader, down-- especially if Crystal, who probably rivaled, if not was better, my own skills, was with me. Nevertheless, we never let out guards down, my hands focusing on continuing training even as we flickered through the many lands.

"We're almost there."

I spoke to my partner, both in love and in crime. Our bond over the past few months had been hardened by the many events that transpired after our meeting. I had almost expected her to leave me as soon as I defected from my home, but no, she stuck by my side even through the hardest of times; in all honesty, if something happened to her I don't know what exactly I would do. Certainly, whoever would be the cause of such a thing, would be hunted and tortured until he took his last breath -- that alone, would be the only kill that did not keep me awake at night.

"We'll set up camp here, Kaminari isn't that far away from our current spot." I sang, setting up camp for the second time since we left our makeshift home. Once everything was in place, and as soon as a fire was made to keep us both warm, I pulled out the scroll that contained information about the technique I was currently training. It was marked and tainted by many things, but it was still clear and comprehendable despite it's old age.

User must be in close combat for jutsu to work and can cause muscle damage if used too many times

Well, wasn't that a drawback. As much as I hated to admit it, I wasn't much of a close combat fighter, not enough, specifically, for such a potent technique like the one I sought to learn. My shields have always provided me as a substitute for my somewhat lacking Taijutsu abilities, so for me to use Ranpugan, which in a sense would negate myshields, was, and seemed, like a very bad idea. If not for its shrill power, and devastating after-effect, I would have stopped learning it in general.

Hand seals ready, chakra formulated, I attempted the technique. My first attempt for the night did not yield any clear results, but after several failed tries, my fifth attempt finally came to fruition. It was small, but it ignited my determination for sure.

"Lets move!"

Everything from camp had been packed and resettled after a long rest, and with the sight of dark clouds pooling within the skies, time was of the essence if I wanted to catch a good show. Thus, with much haste, both Crystal and I departed from our camps, not bothered enough to once again utilize a henge to travel and instead pushing forward with great speed via a shunshin. Along the way many hand seals were made, manifested as a training exercise as we neared closer and closer to the highest peak within Kaminari.

It took quite some time to actually reach the location, but the sight upon reaching it was unimaginable; I had never seen such power flowing within the skies so close, the rain that foretold the coming events proving that lightning was just around the corner. Unable to further contemplate what was occurring, I forced myself to bring myself back into my normal mind-set when I entered training; forcing everything outside of my thoughts, and allowing for my resolve to fuel my chakra.

Tis said of love that it sometimes goes, sometimes flies; runs with one, walks gravely with another; turns a third into ice, and sets a fourth in a flame: it wounds one, another it kills: like lightning it begins and ends in the same moment: it makes

Crystal, upon seeing my state, pushed back further down the mountain; clearly, though she had complete faith in me, not wanting anything to do with the lightning once it arrived. Needless to say, I allowed my chakra to flow soothingly throughout my body, caressing my tenketsu points as they each opened with the sudden surge of energy. Every hair, every inch of my very being, they all stood up on the edge as if they knew what was about to happen -- history was about to be made today, even they knew it.

"Give me all you got!"

I called, I yelled... I screamed-- the nature itself was so in sync with my body that it roared with thunder in response. My chakra was boiling on my body, the numbing and burning feeling I used to get no longer of any concern, it was calling the gods - commanding them to give me the wrath they had stored up high within the sky for days. They knew, just as I did, that if I had calculated wrong, if I had messed up with my chakra--even in the slightest-- I would be dead upon impact.

It was that fact alone that fueled me completely, not Crystal, nor any human being on the earth. It was the lightning itself that could be that final force to end my misery, and bring justice to all the men I had slain over the many months. T'was like a pure adrenaline rush, filling me with pure excitement and pleasure as the thunder continued to roar, and then lightning finally showed itself.

"NOW!"

Almost as if heeding my words, the lightning from the sky struck down on me; its quickness, its power-- missing me by the slightest of increments. I had escaped death, fortunately for me, but I made no such movements to try and escape it once more. I embraced the last few moments I could potentially have, and, with one last valiant surge of chakra, forced everything I had outside my body. Again, seeking to compete against my resolve, a second bolt unleashed itself on me, this time, of course, it hit its target--

With every might of my body, I repelled the killing blow out of my body; using every last bit of chakra I had to push it out, grasp it, and then control it. Yes, holding it onto my body I forced it to wrap around each of my hands, converting my skin--my flesh-- into nothing but pure raw, killing energy. And just like that, just as my body was about to give in and succumb to death, I forced the raw energy into the ground before me.

The result: It was of catastrophic proportions.

For once, I actually didn't want to train my Sharingan.

Weird - I know. But over the last couple of days, and even the last couple of weeks with Crystal, I've found myself losing interest in advancing my eyes as my other skills in the different arts were being evidently weak. Let alone the fact that I had not, in the long span of time with being Crystal, and having awakened my dorment last eye, delved into the art of Taijutsu as all. Thusly so, I found myself doing so as I finally reached my training ground; Crystal, although discontent with my decision, at my side ready to help in any means she could.

"So, how should I go about learning this?" I spoke to her upon reaching the middle of the lake where we usually trained - it was our place now. I was so focused on the extreme extent to which my eyes analyzed the lagoon's ripples that I had not heard heard her speak at all; the fluid motion of her body taking any unfamiliar stance catching my gaze instead. The pose she struct wasn't one that I recognized - it looked more defensive then I usually delt with, but nevertheless, subconciously my mind anaylyzed the movement - my own body taking the same form not much longer as it became attuned to my thoughts.

Having a perfect memory had its perks.

But with the stance learned, even though Crystal saw it, she never relented in what she was doing - instead, determination gracing her features, performing a bunch of fluid motions before taking another pose. This one, unlike its predecessor, looked like an aggressive stance; a good portion of it being shaped as to allow the user quick and easy movement I assumed. Nevertheless, this form was harder to memorize for everything about it had to be just perfect, or else it all wouldn't work. I tried thinking about that as I tried to do it, but failed miserably.

"When you're doing this stance, make sure to keep your breath under control. It will throw you off." She spoke over my thoughts - my thoughts doing as she said as halting my breathing a good extent before once again taking the shape. It didn't work at first, but after another quick memorizing of her body, I attempted it again with much success this time; keeping my body in the form despite having it perfectly as to ensure that I would not forget it. It was weird how just be doing the stance, I could feel my chakra already leaving my body in some means - was this what correct Taijutsu felt like?

Only time would tell.

"Now, we're going to learn something more difficult. So pay close attention."

Like I wasn't already? My eyes—no my Sharingan Eyes— had never left her body since we had begun training, so why did she expect me not to focus now of all times? Whatever. I did what she asked nevertheless, keeping my eyes and my attention on her as she mentally and physically readied herself for whatever she was doing. Swish. Just like that, she vanished like that - disappearing for all but a moment before my eyes caught onto her advancing form; she was so fast. Yes, I was staring directly at her but I had not noticed when she had suddenly 'disappeared', despite my Sharingan having quite an ability to see even the fastest of movements.

Did she actually vanish? I couldn't tell. But before I knew it her advancing form was standing behind me, her hand grasping my shoulder as I slowly turned to her -- fuck, it was so fast that even I could see her. Letting a smug look overtake my grin at her success of evading me, I stepped back from her, bringing back the same distance that had previously separated us. Knowing that I was probably perturbed by her sheer speed, Crystal spoke aloud - her words easy to discern despite the laughing tone that stuck to them. "Its called Ashura Senkuu, and literally means teleportation as you can tell."

She laughed again; I shuddered. It was indeed just like teleportation, but how had she done it? She seemed to be able to read my expressions for she spoke again, her serious nature returning as she took one of the previous stances we learned: "You got to build up chakra in your legs like a Shunshin, try it." I did as she asked, focusing majority of my chakra into my legs before returning my gaze towards her - it felt weird not to launch forward with great speed despite already having the chakra to do so. I could deal with it though, it felt good leaving the chakra there.

"Once you do that, all thats left is to take a quicker and more effective leap than a normal Shunshin. Try it." Again, I did just as she said. Pushing my chakra out of my tenketsu points as I did most of the times whilst performing a Shunshin, I lunged forward just as she said. Though the speed was grand, it didn't seem exactly like what she had done seconds ago. Strange. I tried once again, building up the chakra in my legs before once again leaping forward; nothing. It was only after my fifth try at it that I actually got it, and boy did the feeling of literally teleporting feel good - it was on a whole new level compared to the normal Shunshin.

"Anything else?"
