She was happy, oh so happy, ridiculously happy. Of course the brooding look on her cute, doll like face stayed in place, but deep down she was brimming with complete bliss. Magdalena had to keep face with Alek and their dear Uncle Sebastian around. Otherwise she would have been clinging to Nii-san's arm like the little sister she should be. Curse the rest of their ragtag family, curse them all. All they ever did was get in the way.

An idle thought crossed her mind though. Valentin could very well be dead by the time they get back. After all, Triton, or whatever the the boy Nii-san called the 'kessel' was really called, could have killed him already. That certainly would be nice. Alek wouldn't be hard to kill either. Dear Uncle Sebastian could be taken out if they teamed up against him. It was obvious to her that Nii-san was using him. She could see it in his eyes.

After all, Uncle Sebastian was his brother.

That simply left Triton. However, he too, like Nii-san, was her older brother. Wouldn't hurting him be like hurting Nii-san? Besides, it was obvious how close they were and how dearly Nii-san wanted him protected. He loved Triton more than her, he meant more than she did. Hate was all that she felt for that boy, that ridiculously idiotic boy. Was it because he was the oldest of his younger siblings that Nii-san loved him more? Why should that matter though?

I'M HIS ONLY SISTER! HE SHOULD LOVE ME MORE!!!

The rage that ushered through her was unparalleled, or at least it was for only that moment. Inhaling sharply to snap herself out from her inner musings, she shuffled quickly forward to walk right by the side of her amazingly wonderful Nii-san. A smile spread across her face as she reached out and tugged at his hand lightly, her fingers lingering there for a moment like she wanted to hold his hand. However, she let her hand drop back to her side.

"Nii-san~ Where are we going now? Maybe we can kill a WHOLE small town for you, then you would have sooooo much food for a while!"

''How am I going to break zhis to her?"

I, for once, was speechless. I had a plan in mind, sure, and I knew they'd follow my every command, but how would my little sister fair? She was still young, far too young to be called a ''woman". She was still my little doll, but she was so eager to please me. The news that my agent in Kusagakure had come back into action was great, but that meant that I'd have to keep eyes on the operation from afar; after all, you don't lead with your head, right?

''Mein sonnenblume, zhere is.. vell, zhere is somethink zhat has to be done."

Feeling her fingers brush against mine, I reflexively pulled away, disgusted by the touch of most people, but as soon as I realized the gravity of the situation, I shot my hand back and quickly grasped her hand with mine. Turning in tandem with my quick movement, I crouched down and quickly pulled her close, my hands clasping over her own to try and reassure her. This felt like hell.

''.. Big brozher lofes you, ja? You know zhat, Maggie. But.. vhat needs to be done can't infolfe me. I need you, Uncle and zhe ozhers to meet vith somebody."

Grimacing as I spoke, I leaned in closer and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, my hands sliding to her shoulders as I prepared to give her the news. She was too young for this, truly, but irregardless of my feelings for my family, deep down, I knew they were alright with being my pawns. They were put on this crappy plane of existence to serve a purpose; my purpose and the only purpose that matters. Power was something I longed for since I was young, yet it always alluded my grasp. No more.

''He.. is, vell. He is von of zhem, too. But he has been a loyal agent for big brozher for a long time, ja, he has. And loyalty is eferyzhing vhen I still need somebody."

I spoke slowly to assure myself that she understood every word that I spoke, a reflexive grin stretching across my face to hide the hint of worry I had for her. ''I vill be here, darlink. And don't vorry, he vill take care of you, as vill you take care of him. Vonce you hafe met up vith him and finished your mission, come back and see me, ja?" With another pat on the shoulder, I stood up and stepped away, a long, heaving sigh emptying my lungs.

''And if you die, just know zhat I hafe no lofe for failures."
