A sliver moon hung in the sky. There was darkness that blanketed the sky, the quiet time of contemplation just after the clocks around the world would have struck midnight. From his position high atop the world, on one of the many mountains of Kaminari no Kuni, the Earth King meditated, his eyes closed to the world around him. Inside of his mouth, a purple bit of hard candy attached to a few-inches-long white stick hung suspended, the grape flavor titillating his taste buds.
His hands, complete with inch long green nails, touched the surface of the mountain, his palms pushed heavily into the dirt and rock about him. He could feel the world around him, feel the disquiet and the chaos that had begun to erupt around the world. It had been many seasons now since the shinobi Masuerta had fought against two separate bijuu, and the feeling was the same.
The restlessness that hung in the air... the hatred that was thicker than the mists of Mizu no Kuni. It was not a good time to be alone, but the dislikes that had propelled Masuerta to leave his village for adventure with the rascal Kii still resided deep within his bones. It was not a good time to be alone, but it was, perhaps, the correct time. Opening his eyes wide, Masuerta stood up with a speed that only a shinobi could generate and reached into his pouch, and with a rapid tug the Leaf forehead protector that he had kept with him for so long was out into the open air.
With it had come a kunai.
After hesitating for only a moment, Masuerta drug the kunai across the center of the forehead as hard as he could, creating a long scratch from left bottom corner to the top right one, slashing straight through the symbol of Konoha. It was done, then. He was now officially alone. With a casual flick of his wrist, the left hand which had held the headband released the item and let it fly down the side of the mountain.
Turning the other direction, towards the Land of Fire and the home that he had now rejected, Masuerta would begin a brisk run down the mountain. He knew that he needed to be somewhere, but he wasn't sure where. All he knew was what he could feel, what he could hear from the voice of the Earth.
"Go West." And so he did.
OOC: I am now a Nuke-Nin. Please move to Hi no Kuni.
