The Academy...such a glorious and sophisticated place, it almost made anyone shiver just looking at it. There wasn't much intimidation in terms of the structure's appearance; interior and exterior alike. But there was something just about this place that had the potential of intimidating people. It was located almost at the heart of Iwa, one of the many respected buildings, crafted many years ago. Here was where every aspiring child would find themselves, trapped inside for many long years, being taught the ways of a shinobi. For Evangeline, she didn't mind it so much as a student because she always one for learning new things. Learning inspired her. But for many of the newer students, the tests that they were being put forth to do were just too much for them. Personally she didn't see how some people could fail or be close to failing the academy. But she presumed that everyone was different in their own ways. I guess I'll never know...or maybe she will. it was all a matter of understanding people's difficulties.
And this mission was supposedly going to help her to do just that.
Indeed, the mission slip that was now in her hands was the main reason she decided to step into the academy training grounds after bidding it farewell only a few months ago. But the feel was definitely different. The purple haired girl didn't have that pressured or stressed out feeling that she did when she had been a student. Evangeline could laugh at herself now as she remembered the times when she would nearly suffocate herself just walking through the school's doors. This was usually the times of tests or training as she hadn't been the sharpest in training. Though what she lacked in natural talent she had learned to acquire through vigorous hard work. And it paid off in the end.
It was rather comical to be doing just what she had been so afraid of doing once upon a time. Or rather, it wasn't that she was afraid so much as she was naturally timid: timid of failure that is. The young Genin's first ever mission, which she had taken from the Tauchikage Tower only yesterday was to teach a failing academy student a C rank technique. That wasn't going to be easy since she wasn't the world's most patient teacher. Oh God...her patience was as short as a fuse. Why she had decided to take the mission still baffled her. Was she looking to challenge herself? Was she out to prove something? Perhaps a combination, she mused as she walked into the academy. Her clutch on the mission slip subconsciously tightened in her right hand as she would make her way to an academy instructor's office. She wondered what would be in store for her today.
It'll certainly be exciting....
