[FLASHBACK]
And here I was- I was aware that there was a possible risk that the Tsuchikage had decided not to come alone and instead had brought trouble in line with her own presence, but to be honest, I couldn’t give a fuck because if she did try anything, I had my own ways of controlling the situation. But who was she? I’d met with the last Tsuchikage, an eccentric Coco, and I was due to bring this meeting up in order to try and create links with our two villages- But it all depended how this woman, Anemone as far as I’d learned, would take my words. Of course, I was one of those with a tongue that could charm and twist even the roughest of men, and thus I was an excellent speaker, but I would utilize my talents in this meeting in order to win her over. With Kusgakure only a minor power in the political world at the moment, it would be very much beneficial for it to have some kind of collaborator with a larger power in the shinobi world. But as we’d gain allies, that’s where Kusagakure would slowly rise up from the grave that it had been placed in and ascend to the same level as any other major village. They didn’t know it yet that we were all destined for greatness, but steps had to be taken.
And now I waited so patiently for her to turn up. I had no qualm with waiting and as far as I’d noticed a few moments ago, it was at least ten minutes before we would have to meet, giving myself enough time to walk about a little with my arms crossed, as I took in the scenery. I’d always thought that Kusa no kuni was quite dense with woodland, but this specific part of it- I was unable to fathom exactly how much there was here. ”..Shi no mori..” I’d murmur to myself as I gazed at the endless forestry that surrounded me, causing the place to live up to its name quite well. The exact location which we were to meet at had been explained to the best of my ability, although I could only hope that the Tsuchikage was proficient in reading maps and navigating. I know I was, but then again living in a country dominated by mazes of trees, it was strictly necessary.
