The Boxing Arts are a very old, very traditional fighting art. Existing for many centuries, its roots cannot be traced back exactly to when it started, or began to become popular. The arts however have survived the test of time, and still remains popular today. Whether for sport, self-defense, or offensive combat, Boxing Arts are still quite valuable for all practitioners, and require little to become exceptionally skilled. However a few select many have been called masters, and have risen to extreme fame through popularity or revered for their practical use of the punches learned. With effort, one can make these Arts into an very useful arsenal.

The Boxing Arts fall into three categories of Boxing

Taijutsu Secondaries may only learn up to B rank techniques

Because of the brittle structure of the bones in the fist, performing Boxing techniques without a form of protection (otherwise known as going “bare-knuckle”) leaves the user vulnerable to a 30% chance of breaking the bones in that fist and being unable to continue the use of the fist. In order to combat this, Boxer’s wear any form of Overview Boxing Glove, Knuckle Duster, Hand Wrap, Protective Gauntlet, etc. The damage of the punches they throw will stack along with the protective gloves rank.

Description: A piece of headgear worn especially by those aligned with the Boxing Arts. This armor protects the forehead, backhead, and sides of the head, although does not have protection for the chin. Specifically made of a hard rubber. In these latter times shinobi have been known to attach their village alignment to the forehead protection of the Headgear.

MASTERY

• Tier One: Bone Density; The user's persistence within boxing has toughened their bones to a degree where blunt damage is decreased to minute effects. Additionally, user's no longer require gloves to protect their fists and can fight bare handed.
  
  
• Tier Two: Going for the Knockout; A boxer after landing one Boxing technique, is able to do the next at 50% of their base speed. The speed bonus stacks until 200% of the user's base speed.
  
  
  
• Tier Three: Beaten to the Punch; The user's advancement in Boxing Arts has allowed them to increase the speed of their attacks to another level, essentially allowing them a faster base speed. For a Taijutsu secondary, x2 their base speed, for a primary, x3 the base speed of a Taijutsu Secondary.
  

TRADITIONAL BOXING

Traditional Boxing spans across the array or punches, combination punches, and specialty punches within the entire fighting style. The section stresses variety in muscle and speed, and depending on the Boxer in question attempts to swarm the opponent with their fists, or eliminate them in one blow.

The Basics: Jab, Cross, Hook, Uppercut

Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arms reach
Chakra: Low
Special: Allows the user to throw the basic Jab, Cross, Hook, and Uppercut of Boxing. In order to be effective they must be within an appropriate Boxing stance, having their fists up at eyebrow level, feet shoulder length apart, and rear leg facing the right at a 90 degree angle. Without this stance in place, these Basic punches are considered to have hit with basic Taijutsu power. With the footing in place one would be able to deliver a quick blow at C rank power.
Description: The basic four punches of Boxing are the standards of which all other punching techniques are built. This allows for more diverse punches and techniques involving the hands.

• The Jab: Thrown with the lead hand, a quick straight punch doing small actual damage.
  
• The Cross: A straight punch, thrown much like a Jab, but with the rear hand, which adds additional force.
  
• The Hook: Thrown with the lead or rear hand, this punch involved a curvature of the elbow to attack more from the side of the opponent’s frame.
  
• Uppercut: The uppercut involves the rear or lead hand, coming from below at an angle comparable to 90 degrees. It is normally aimed at the chin of the opponent for optimal damage.

Peek-A-Boo Guard
Rank: A
Range: Self
Type: Defensive Taijutsu
Chakra: None
Special: Blunt force damage delivered to the user is reduced, so long as the user maintains this posture and stance. Attacks must be solidified. Does not stack upon armor, however if the user’s armor happens to break, this technique can be used.While in this posture, the user is unable to be knocked back.
Description: The user’s conditioning of the Boxing Arts have allowed their body to adapt to blunt damage very well, their bones and muscle becoming similar to actual armor. The user assumes a stance of keeping their forearms close to their body and parallel to each other. Bracing themselves, the user is able to assume the brunt of, and ignore blunt damage effects to their body.

Bullet Jab
Rank: C
Type: Defensive Taijutsu
Range: Arms Reach
Chakra: Low
Special: Allows the user two Jabs in one movement. The strikes are not capable of doing much actual damage but the sudden blows will disorient an opponent at the very least, and open them further. Every two Jabs consumes one Low chakra.
Description: Used most commonly by fighters attempting to subdue an opponent who attempts to close the distance for whatever purpose they need.

The Long Straight
Rank: B
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arm’s Reach
Chakra: Mid
Special: The user takes a large step before throwing a straight punch with his lead or rear hand. The extra step supplements as a kind of “windup”, adding a small amount of power as well as allowing the user to advance while attacking.
Description: From the standard Boxing stance, the user takes a step with their lead foot, the rear trailing. As the step is taken a Jab or Cross is thrown, the additional step adding power to the punch thrown, and increasing it’s effective distance.

Overhand
Rank: A
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arm’s Reach
Chakra: High
Special: A punch technically considered a hook, though not truly such. The user makes a strike from above the typical height line of their punches, going downwards. The strike is capable of stunning opponents for one round.
Description: Delivered with the rear hand, the user may rise on their toes for just a moment before the punch comes downwards on their opponents head. Some fighters are known for attacking the body as such, ducking, and twisting their entire right side so that the strike lands to the opponents stomach area.

Gazelle Punch
Rank: B
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: 0-5 meters
Chakra: Mid x2
Special: A move used to close distance with opponents somewhat close to the user, this attack features a large jumping action, and a punch. This punch carries the user's full weight and momentum behind it if landed successfully, and grants large bonus damage.
Description: Gathering the muscle in the legs and hip, the user will need to be somewhat crouched. At the moment of the charging attack, the legs push outward carrying them a considerable speed. While the user runs forward, a punch is delivered to the opponents midsection, typically (though not necessarily) a rear handed straight, or hook.

• Rising Uppercut
  Rank: A

  Type: Offensive Taijutsu
  Chakra: High
  Special: An uppercut lifting both the user and the opponent five meters into the air.
  Description: Coming from below the opponent, the user crouches and rising pushing roughly off their legs, carrying themselves and the opponent five meters into the air. Considered very high risk/high reward, as the user will rise off the ground regardless of the strike landing or not.

Rolling Bull
Rank: B
Range: Arm’s Length
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Chakra: Midx2
Special: Allows for two uppercuts done to the opponents body in one movement. Retraining allows for another two, in another movement. Between these movements exists a small pause allowing a quick counter, if possible. Maximum three retrainings. Each time done takes a Midx2 chakra.
Description: Mimicking the horns of a bull, the boxer crouches and attacks the body of the opponent, aiming for the stomach or chest, and firing multiple, fast uppercuts.

Sonic Fang
Rank: S
Range: 0-15meters
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Chakra: High x3
Special: One of the few distance techniques, the Boxer builds chakra into their right hand and whips it forward in an overhanded strike. The resulting movements release the buildup in a strike traveling at the typical speed of a Taijutsu Primary for a maximum of fifteen meters before dissipating, and is about three feet wide. The attack requires a charge time of half a post, and is completely linear.
Description: Developing a technique to cover distance became a priority as Boxer’s found themselves overwhelmed before being able to close to effective range. This technique has the user channel a violent chakra buildup into their rear hand, and by whipping that hand forward releases the chakra for blunt damage. The technique is capable of breaking bones and weapons and armor, as well as "soft" barrier ninjutsu such as fire or water walls.

KICKBOXING

The KickBoxing section combines the aforementioned punches, with the powerful legs that most Boxers develop naturally as part of their training. Those who incorporate both the punches and kicks are at times simply known for their proficiency in "The Way of Fighting", as "boxing" has (though not accurately) become known for exclusively using punches.

The Basics: Front, Side, Roundhouse

Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: Low
Special: Allows the user to perform the three basic kicks of Boxing Arts: Front, Side, and Roundhouse. In order to be effective they must be within an appropriate Boxing stance, having their legs at shoulder length, and rear leg facing the right at a 90 degree angle. Without this stance in place, these Basic kicks are considered to have hit with basic Taijutsu power. With the footing in place one would be able to deliver a blow at C rank power. The users stance cannot move but a step away at a time before needing to be reestablished to find the power again.
Description: The basic four kicks of Boxing are the standards of which all other kicking techniques are built. This allows for more diverse kicks and techniques involving the feet.

• The Front: A basic kick from the rear or lead leg, going straight forward, heel parallel to the ground. Used normally to maintain distance.
  
• The Side: This kick, thrown from the lead leg has the heel horizontal to the ground. Not too different in effectiveness to the Front kick.
  
• The Roundhouse: A kick aiming the the sides of the opponents frame, thrown with a curvature at the hip from the rear leg.

Vertical Axe Kick

Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: Midx2
Special: A kick aimed to the midsection or chin of the opponent. Striking more fragile bones such as ribs or the chin can break bones. Striking fleshier or denser areas such as the stomach can result in large pain.
Description: The Axe Kick is a vertical rising kick, thrown to the chin of the opponent, thrown with the rear leg. The movements involved are relatively simple, the user balancing on their lead leg, with the rear coming up, heel parallel to the ground.

Double Axe Kick
Rank: A
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: High
Special: This kick consists of two Axe kicks, one rising to strike the opponent, the other dropping to strike them again into the ground.
Description: The Double Axe Kick begins with a typical Axe Kick, aimed to the midsection. As the opponent doubles over, the kick rises above them and comes back down, slamming the opponent to the ground.

Flying Knee
Rank: B
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: Mid x2
Special: A knee delivered as the user rises off the ground. The technique is capable of breaking bones on solid contact, or knocking out opponents if striking the head.
Description: The Flying Knee is performed within close range, or at times with a running start. Simple to perform, though difficult to properly aim, the users use the muscle of both legs to rise off the ground, and bring the rear leg’s knee up to strike the opponents chest or face.

• Flying Double Knee
  Rank: A
  Type: Offensive Taijutsu
  Range: Leg’s Reach
  Chakra: High
  Special: Using the opponent as leverage the user strikes with both knees. This technique delivers even greater damage to opponents, the likes of which can completely collapse ribcages, or shatter faces.
  Description: This technique, a variant of the Flying Knee, first has the user make contact with the enemy. Using the opponents body (normally the shoulders) as leverage, the user lifts themselves and launches both knees to make contact with the enemy’s chest or chin.

DIRTY BOXING

Dirty Boxing encompasses the moves that were at one time considered illegal in the regulated realm of Boxing. When placed inside the realms of shinobi and the current state of war and desperate times, such illegal maneuvers have become rampantly used, and more developed to subdue enemies with greater ease. It is very common nowadays for one proficient within the Boxing Arts to aim to break all rules previously established.

Basic Elbows: Rising, Side, Downward

Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arm’s Length
Chakra: Low
Special: Allows the user to perform the four basic elbows of Boxing Arts:Rising, Side, and Downward. With the footing in place one would be able to deliver a blow at C rank power.
Description: The basic four kicks of Boxing are the standards of which all other kicking techniques are built. This allows for more diverse kicks and techniques involving the feet.

• The Rising: An elbow that puts the forearm at almost 90degrees, and pushed into the opponents face. The elbow comes up to strike the opponent.
  
• The Side: This elbow comes from either side to the opponent, left or right.
  
• The Downward: Opposed to the Rising elbow, this elbow encompasses any elbows that drop downwards.

Heartbreaker
Rank: A
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arm’s Length
Chakra: High
Special: A jab or straight hand targeting not the head, body, or chest, but rather the heart of the opponent. A successful strike paralyzing them for one round. Armor of leather, or thinner metals are ignorable if struck at the heart, but account as a regular punch if striking areas not the heart.
Description: Striking the heart is a particularly difficult feat in the fighting world, made no less difficult for boxers. After divisive aim, a straight or jab to this specific area drains the opponent of their energy and paralyzes them.

Rabbit Punch
Rank: A
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Arm’s Length
Chakra: High
Special: The neck is a very vulnerable part of the body on any human. Striking such an area, from behind specifically, causes great pain and debilitation to whomever it is suffered upon. Specifically granting a 40% chance of breaking the opponents neck, removing the ability of the neck to swivel, and removing the opponent from commission for the remainder of the thread for a relatively low amount of chakra.
Description: This action, in traditional boxing, is normally done from the clinched position, where the boxer’s are tied up, and the fists are placed behind the opponent. The technique is just as effective if done out of the clinch and a punch manages to be placed on the back of the neck.

Stomping
Rank: C
Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: Mid x2
Special: The fighter executes the simple maneuver of stomping on the opponents foot forcibly. The execution produces a 20% chance of that foot breaking, but regardless is very painful to the opponents continued movement.
Description: This attack had initially started simply as an accidental maneuver in fights, but when great frustration had overtaken the Boxer’s and forcibly stomping proved an effective technique, this become quite popular.

• Punching and Stomping

  Special: Holding the opponent in place via a stomped foot, the user proceeds to strike at the chin of the opponent. The immobilization of the foot removes the opponent’s ability to react to the recoiling effects of being punched, and increases damage greatly, as well as traps them for further punches
  Description: The Boxer in essence takes the basic concept of Stomping, and holds the opponent in place while they perform a variety of punches to the opponents body or face. Normally, the body is able to respond to the damage by naturally recoiling against it (which is why the head pivots in motion with the punch, or the stomach with push inwards when punched there. While stomped and immobile, the opponent is unable to recoil properly.

Special: The Low Blow, otherwise known as Hip Pointer, is an attack aiming for the hip of the opponent, which Boxer’s had found to be very sensitive when forcibly punched, normally resulting in painful paralysis for one post.
Description: Normally preceded by a crouching maneuver, the Boxer aims an uppercut to the opponent’s hip area, instead of the stomach or ribs that they would normally aim for. The attack inflicts great pain and drains the opponent of their energy. Contrary to popular belief, keep in mind, this attack CAN also be executed on females.

Special: The user awaits the outstretching of the opponent’s arm, and then strikes that stretched arm’s inside. Description: The arm’s of an opponent are quite vulnerable to attack, though normally not targeted simply because the inside arms move too quickly, making landing a punch difficult, nor is it quite as assuredly damaging as striking the chin.

Awhile back we actually went through all of the techniques on the board and removed any "as fast as a kunai" type statements. To put it simply, we don't want to see those anymore.

Replace the "double the rate of a kunai" statement with some other description for its speed. "Blazingly fast", "faster than the eye can follow", "a blur of movement" whatever you want, really.

I really don't see how punching someone in the nuts is going to sap any damage from someone, let alone 3xHigh, lol. It'll knock the wind out of them for sure, but the chakra drain isn't going to fly. If you could think of some other debilitating affect, that would be nice.

Aside from that, I think everything else looks pretty good. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the damage stacks provided by the gloves.

Fixed Low Blow to a paralysis effect.

Also fixed Heartbreaker because it's effect was similar to Low Blow.

About the gloves, with actual Boxing, your hands have a very decent chance of breaking if your fighting full forced, and without protection. The custom gloves I just thought up, but the thing about your fist breaking without some form of protection I'd rather keep in.

Special: The user uses one hand to hold the opponent in place, normally holding the head or shoulder, and using the other hand to strike the opponent.
Description: The users of this technique make use of it by refusing the opponents ability to move away from the strike, or react to it properly. The attack strikes with a slight recoil to the hand holding the opponent, while still doing a high amount of damage for a relatively low amount of chakra.

Description: Pinning a target to the ground, while this may seem like a stall technique it’s far from it. A hallmark of the Gorilla’s Slam style and usable in a variety of situations, one isn’t a true Gorilla if they can’t keep a target locked down.

My only issue with this is that it ignores protectorates. There's literally no reason it should be allowed to do this. I'm willing to compromise with that ability if the protectorates are two ranks lower than it ('C' rank).

Stepping Stones

Type: Offensive Taijutsu
Range: Leg’s Reach
Chakra: High x2
Special: The user uses one leg to raise themselves up, and deliver a kick, in midair.
Description: “Stepping Stones” is a Taijutsu move used to counter lateral attacks, with an attack done higher. Usually waiting for the opponent to attack first, the user exemplifies their dexterity by lifting themselves above the opponent, and into a position where a variety of kicks, or stomps, may be performed.

Description: The Flying Knee is performed within close range, or at times with a running start. Simple to perform, though difficult to properly aim, the users use the muscle of both legs to rise off the ground, and bring the rear leg’s knee up to strike the opponents chest or face.

Description: The Axe Kick is a vertical rising kick, thrown to the chin of the opponent, thrown with the rear leg. The movements involved are relatively simple, the user balancing on their lead leg, with the rear coming up, heel parallel to the ground.

Holding Them Down: That is similar to the Puroresu techniques there, just in Boxing, because it is DONE in boxing. But assuming you still want them removed, I'll remove it. The Puroresu branch also is much more dominating than this, this does offer more a chance of escape.

Punching And Stomping: You wouldn't need a kind of chakra pulse kind of thing to escape, you'd just move. You could evade the initial Stomp, hit them away, or kick with the other foot, etc, thats up to the person being attacked.

So long as you add some sort of way to combat Punching and Stomping's immobilization, everything else looks good. Just give it something like (___ surge of chakra) and make that surge of chakra reasonably close (somewhat higher) than the technique's own cost.

Tier Three: Reading The Opponent; The user becomes adept at reading Taijutsu A ranked and under, based on the shoulder and knee positions, as well as changes in the opponents expressions. Dodging such attacks of course depends on the user's natural abilities, and RP performance determines all.

I don't like this at all as a mastery, because I feel like it encourages lazy rp (it's Taijutsu Sharingan 3rd Tomoe, essentially), but i'd be willing to see what others think regarding it. The first two Mastery techs are fairly basic, and don't give me the knee-jerk reaction that this one did.

• Peek-A-Boo Guard: This stacks with the first mastery? And to clarify; this is NOT a passive technique? Meaning that if the user attempts to take this stance, and their opponent, for instance, disrupts their footing, changes the angle your holding your arms, or otherwise stops you from being in that specific rigid position, the effects of the technique don't work?
  
  
• Gazelle Punch: Nearly instantaneously meaning...faster than a Shunshin? Since people can't attack during shunshin, it makes sense that you also wouldn't be able to attack during something faster than Shunshin, if that's how it works. Is the punch coming as the user closes the distance, or afterwards?
  
  
  
• Sonic Fang: Remove the 'traveling 10 mps' thing. Try and go for something like multiples of the average ninjas movement speed, without giving it a defined meters per second quantification. At the very least, state that it isn't a technique designed to be capable of using at close range at all; though it's designed to be a long range attack, someone whose within 5-10 meters of you basically won't be able to dodge no matter what they do, so perhaps a charge time can be added to justify needing distance to get the attack off as its intended.
  
  
• Heartbreaker: So if this doesn't hit the chest above the heart, does it still paralyze what it comes in contact with, or just deliver A rank damage, or what? When it does hit the chest above the heart as intended, is it doing A rank blunt damage AND paralyzing them for two turns?
  
  
• Inside The Arm Punch: Increase the rank of this attack, or lower the chance of breaking bones. A C rank with a 60% chance of breaking bones is just...argh. And again, the way this technique is worded...that means that this ONLY works if it hits the inside of the arm? What are the effects of the attack hitting anywhere else?

Third Mastery: If that were true though, Sharingan in and of itself would promote lazy RP, possibly more so as one would only need an event to promote Sharingan whereas they would need 3k EXP, and need to use all three masteries to obtain this mastery. I'll leave it to staff, but thats my opinion.

Peek A Boo Guard: No, its not completely passive, you'll need to maintain the stance. That said, if someone were to close distance and force you out of the stance, then the technique would be disrupted.

Heartbreaker: Should the technique hit an area besides the heart it counts as a Basic Punch would (the punch, plus the glove rank). Should it hit the heart, it ALSO does Basic Punch damage, but will paralyze the opponent. The description has been changed to better describe that.
