- Samurai- Samurai are the guardians and military power that once originated in the Land of Iron and now operates around the world. An independent, world-wide group, little is known about them, although most seasoned shinobi veterans can tell you that any shinobi would be foolish to challenge their military prowess. Agents of peace, they side with no hidden village and stay out of shinobi affairs for the most part, but nonetheless intervene should balance be threatened. Even then, their interventions restore balance rather than leave anyone favorable over another.

A samurai is someone garnering pristine dedication not only to the combative art, but most importantly to the Way of the Samurai itself. This Samurai's dedication is a diamond, flawless and sculpted through the years with dignity; a dedication that does not dwell solely within the sword, but of his ancestry, his past, present - and to the utmost - his future. Some regard the core values of the Samurai as a historical past time, an "ancient belief that has shed its value through the seasons"; but Yosh Aoki upholds these prestigious beliefs with pious devotion making him one of a dying breed: a true Samurai.
Pride within the Samurai's culture swells ravishingly within his soul. Though Yosh does not believe in belittling others by thinking himself above anyone, he retains a silent confidence that the Samurai are unique, unlike the shinobi world that thrives today. An ancient culture rooted deep within the world, he feels that the shinobi generation have all become a mimicking of one another, mirror images in the conquest to become the most powerful. In doing so they have all become clones bred to defeat one another with a particular set of skills that everyone already attains. The samurai - unique - do not follow the same order, and thus force a kink in the gears of battle.
A pacifist of sorts, though deft with the blade, prefers a civil approach before flashing his weapon. Though not opposed to battle, he much rather would like to sort out the altercation with words and avoid conflict altogether if at all possible. If the situation has heated beyond words, however, the Samurai is not afraid of staining red the tip of his blade. Composed with a calm equanimity in times of peace, he maintains the same composure in times of war. A tranquil man like the tides of the sea, yet eyes of fire red in the heat of battle.

His deep set eyes beseech a sadness from within his quaking soul; a sadness derived from his past. A glance that can cut the bone, his piercing gaze is of pure focus that is unbridled by insecurity - a quiet confidence professed through these portals of hazel - but forlorn in agony for his people. They are ever dwindling, a dying breed that is being vanquished by nothing more than time itself. Not all cultures are fortunate to remain a perennial significance: the Way of the Samurai is an attest to such misfortune. It has become his duty to become the Master of his kind, to ensure the growth of his people. His smile is a cracked, yet full and bright. It speaks a thousand words of gentleness, kindness, and loyalty yet concurrently displaying his anger, hostility and violence. There is a graveness to this young man's physical attributes that declares his intolerance for foolishness and lack of respect. A scar resides above his right eye that slides down to his cheek stopping at the crest of his nose. His rather soft complexion is tarnished by the scar as it contradicts such a gentle demeanor, and informs those sizing him up that he is willing to trade blood for his sake. Cross paths with this man and you will have nothing more than admiration or animosity. Yosh's raiment consists of a silk robe that flows down and furrows out in ruffles to his ankle. Loosely fitting for smooth mobility, he moves about like a shadow against the face of a mountain; silent, sifting and slithering like the snake. The Samurai is surefooted, but moves at a calm like the still waters of a lake; eternally harmonious and at peace. |
