Hitting the road [team kimidori]

It was the crack of dawn and also the Chuunin Exams were about to start, it was the day not only me, but many more genins would set out, in hopes of rising through the ranks and becoming a chuunin. Myself, Akiyuki, and Noboru-team Kimidori were ready to face such a endeavor. I had packed the night before, only bringing the essentials.

This year the exams were being held in the Land of Iron, a place I had never been, but I was told it was a very cold place, so I packed a white and crimson cloak, and some essential tools, but I made very sure to keep my pack light. I knew I could buy everything else at the Land of Iron once we arrived.

Leaning against a tree I waited silently at the designated meet up point, it was going to be a very long trip, but one we must take. Both nervous and excited I twiddled my fingers anxiously while waiting for my teammates to show up.

"I wonder what awaits us there, what type of ninja's will we be competing against."

All of these thoughts circled my mind more and more, until I couldn't bear it any longer, I bit my lip and shut my eyes for a brief moment inviting darkness. I was a genin of Kumogakure and show myself as such.

I was ready!

I awoke to the sound of my cave door being slammed it seemed as if someone had broken in… I’d first stop to think who’d break into a shinobi’s room… upon that who could break in without a shinobi knowing? I then came to realize as I leaped from my bed with a newly acquired blade I’d move out of my bed and sneak onto the floor… This room of mine was different since I was accepted to join in the chunnin exams, these black walls of mine allowed some light to reflect while my furniture around reflected the rest of the lighting in my home.

With that I’d notice a new outfit placed on my chair my weapons polished…Even an home cooked meal was placed on the table with a letter only in Kanji did it scream “Good luck.” My name was written in my father and mothers hand writing as well my sister and brothers own personal message.. It seemed they had found me after all… I’d have no choice now, but to take a seat and eat the meal that had been set out for me.

When I finished I placed the new clothing in my bag and grabbed up my weapons and other items and set out to meet my team when I’d arrive I’d quickly notice Saori and give her a salute though it seemed Nobu hadn’t arrived I had no doubts he’d show up sooner or later.

[Noboru]

Noboru fell behind his team mates by five to ten minutes, he hoped that they didn't mind the wait. He had wanted to be prepared and also visited his mother before he headed to the location designated by Akiyuki the day before. Nobu walked down the pathway, his haori blowing in the wind as he did. For a moment he seemed older with wearing his light blue and white haori. He usually didn't adorn himself with it however since he was traveling awhile and it might change weather he had to be prepared. On his back he had a pack for traveling with various items inside, mostly his weapons and such were on his belt. It was a bit heavier than he was used to but he had recently visited the shop.

He waved to his team mates. The two already seemed to be here. He hoped he hadn't had then wait long. "Sorry..I wanted to visit my mother before I left," he said to them. On a normal mission he usually didn't visit his mother to tell her that he was leaving, however this was special. Something he might not come back from, though the likely hood of that happening was slim. "You guys ready? No looking back..or chickening out now," he said, jokingly. Hoping they wouldn't take what he said to heart. They seemed to be wanting to do the chuunin exams. "Hai! Alright lets not be late then," he said and then stepped forward ahead of the two, towards the land of iron. A place he had never been to before. He hoped this would be exciting, though he knew it would be hard as well. He would try to lead his team to victory! This was something he could put his heart and soul into. Passing the chuunin exams!
