A clap from him would draw her back from her concentration on the technique, and as she would seem to get some good comments from the technique that she had attempted to perform, she would give it one last look before allowing it to go off in the breeze, the red cage around her disappearing with the sound of angry static. Looking at Atlas himself she couldn’t help but see him as a good candidate for Chuunin- He probably would get it in the end, or so she guessed anyway. If she didn’t make it (And she sure was hoping that she did) she could perhaps ask him to go on B-Ranked missions with her- That would be pretty neat, right? Looking at him once more, what would come next would be quite interesting-

He had guessed that she was a sensor? Of course, if she looked back at things now, how he said that he could see the chakra inside her- She hadn’t seen him form seals and he had his eyes open at all times from what she could recall- He probably was quite a powerful sensor, then! She could utilize her eyes in the same manner as he but this guy was surely a higher rank on the food chain than she was. ”Yeah, I am and- Spot a release?” she would ask curiously with one eyebrow raised, before she then got it- With her Sansutsomu eye she was able to see low ranked Raiton, Suiton and Fuuton chakra around the place, so, it would basically be similar to that, right? How interesting! Surely enough you could learn how to see other releases too, then.

So, with her eyes on as she would simply shift the chakra within her eyes, creating the lens, but keeping her eyes open as the world then changed in front of her, his own chakra becoming visible to her eyes after he had stopped safeguarding his chakra-based form, as well as chakra from ages away belonging to other competitors or samurai- But at the moment, her eyes looking at him, she would watch as he’d move his position to sitting back on the log or rock that he had past been sat upon. ”I’ve got it on- Right, amplify? I’ll try that.” This did remind her of the bout of training she did with Hiriji Rinji, who had eased her in to the world of sensory, and she was glad of that- She’d have to thank her later on because of it.

In an attempt to amplify her chakra she would then, with quite an intense look upon her face, begin to concentrate as she enhanced the lenses of chakra that were already around her eyes- She needed to make them to be able to see finer details such as the type of chakra that was flowing around them- It seemed quite hard right now but she would need a bit of time to adjust to such an idea. With nothing happening yet, she would but wait, and keep concentrating on both his form and her own which was also pulsing with chakra, as she tried to detect the element within her. This technique, by how he had explained, only picked up a single element, so, by learning a whole array- She could become unstoppable! ”-Thank you very much for training me, by the way—After I’m done with this, I’d be more than happy to teach you a technique that I think is very useful, if you wish.” she would say in a gratuitous tone, happy that he had taught her, and showing full well that she was willing to give back help to him in the same way he had given her.

Teaching ♬ Areru

Ruby red eyes concentrated on his form as she took his advice to heart, seemingly enhancing the abnormal sense of vision she'd recently activated. But in reality, there was hardly any manner in which he could tell whether she was doing well or not. It all resided in her sense of vision alone, and the best he could do was give her suggestions and advice based on his own observations and experience. Her face would contort into one of potent concentration. This was, he realized, the preparation period- where she'd not only grow accustomed to the idea of sensing releases, but also to the focus that it required. The fact that she hadn't performed any hand seals, or even closed her eyes, told him that she was one hell of a sensor- perhaps even as good as he was, hell, maybe even better- so he wasn't worried about her chances. He was quite certain she could figure things out, and fill in the blank spaces, sort of speak.

Sitting pleasantly on the log, the young man would look up at the sky for a bit and blink his eyes. His sensor abilities had been active for a while now, sensing anything and everything within a fifty meter radius. It was a tad exhausting on his eyes, to be honest, but not enough to compel him to turn it off. Instead, he'd try to ignore that squirrel twenty meters to his right, or the snow swallow flying above them in circles. So many critters, scampering about in the brush and pine trees- unaware that the half-masked ninja was quite aware of their presence. To any normal schmuck, it might have been maddening- to know all these things at the same time, a myriad of images flashing through his mind, something like double vision. But the man in question had built some sort of tolerance with the sensation, far enough to withstand such effects despite the stress.

He perked up and turned back down to Areru when the young lass had spoken, a chill yet gracious tone reaching his ears as softly as the snow that hit the ground. She was offering her tutelage in return for his own, a chance to learn a technique that the Akegarasu had yet to learn. Atlas took said offer with a thankful smile, tilting his head into a nod as his eyes warmed up to the idea. "I might just take you up on that, Areru. Depending on how soon nightfall reaches this land- it's getting pretty late, after all." He was most certainly appreciative the she had volunteered herself for such an endeavor, and the expression on his face said so. But then again, he didn't want to waste her time if she had other matters to attend to. Rolling his shoulders, to shake off the slight tension, the young man would tilt his head back to stare up at the sky once more.

"So how's the release detection going?" He'd inquire, bouncing a single knee as he gazed up at the pale gray sky. "Try experimenting with the intensity of your focus from time to time if you're still not catching on. Sometimes too much can be a bad thing, and it can fill your mind with strain. Which isn't gonna help much, in the long run." Thoughts tried to go as far back as they could manage, his conscious mind probing for memories he'd hadn't forgotten just yet. Memories about his training sessions as an adolescent, when he'd been learning the same technique he was trying to teach right now. There was one crucial aspect he knew he had failed to mention, a shortcut that would help Areru pin this down much more quickly. But as much as he tried to remember, lightly biting his lip as he did so, his amnesia proved to be a debilitating opponent.

His response was one that she was quite happy to hear, even if he did suggest that their training might have to cease before night truly fell upon the land- It was a cold place and no doubt it got deathly chilly during this time of year- A single night of staying out in the freezing cold would probably be the death of anyone who befell such a fate, no matter as to whether if they were medic, or a katon user. However, with time passing so quickly she sure did hope that it wasn’t soon time to leave, as she had much to learn, and much to teach Atlas in return! ”I’ll do my best with this to make sure that you can learn it.” Being both from Kumogakure, she hoped that she wouldn’t end up fighting him in the last round- Should she succeed the first two- due to the fact that they had formed some kind of friendship, and, to be pitted against each other would be unfair.

And so would being pitted against Kaeor himself- She hadn’t seen him in a little while now but she looked forwards to being in his company again- ”Concentrate.” with her thoughts moving from her own personal matters back to the curious technique she was learning the sausutsomu would move back to looking at her own arms once more, her pale figure illuminated softly with the chakra that flowed through her at the moment. Sensory was a curious thing but she was quite glad that she had picked it up-It would prove very useful to her, and she would soon hope to prove this in the next round of the exams, and the round after it, if she was to be so lucky as to get that far. However, at the moment, despite her efforts.. not much was happening!

With a cough, as harmless as it was, it surely suggested that her capacity to train was to be over within a few hours, and she took this in to accord as she would then buckle down and try her best at getting this out of the way. With her eyes bearing lenses of chakra, which were now ever so slightly upgraded a bit by the technique she was trying to cast, her attempts at learning it wasn’t doing any good at the moment due to the fact that she could still see the average chakra within both her and Atlas, despite the fact that the two of them could harness Raiton chakra itself- So why wasn’t it appearing? Such questions were unanswerable to her at the moment, although staring intently from her arms back to Atlas, she would wait, and hope that something would happen soon.

As a question would then be directed at her whether her training seemed to be working or not, blindly the girl would shake her head as a no. ”Nothing much is happening right now- I’m trying to focus on both my own arms and you. I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it in a little while though..” she’d tell him in the same confident tone as before, yet it was slightly quieter, showing that she was truly focusing on the technique itself as she tried her best to harness the power that it allowed. ”………..” as she bathed in silence once more she hadn’t liked to be this quiet, but in order to concentrate fully she found it easier to do so without speaking- But, she couldn’t help herself of course, this guy was pretty interesting! Maybe he knew her brothers? She was pretty sure that one of hers was around his age. She had plenty of them, after all!

Teaching ♬ Areru

Another one of those bone-chilling, Tetsu no Kuni breezes swept through the makeshift training ground, numbing Atlas' cheeks and rattling his breath. His temporary student seemed to be lost in complete concentration. Her voice a tad quieter than before, her poise still and in focus. Apparently, she was currently focusing on both her arms and Atlas, analyzing both with her abilities as a sensor. Perhaps trying to compare the energies within the two- to distinguish the hue of the lightning element and mark it down in her mind. "Good, good." Atlas would murmur in response to her previous statement. "Focus on the colors you see. All energies are color-coded, but they'll only surface if you will them to do so. It takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll get it. I'm sure."

He would give her a moment to gather her focus and continue on in silence. Learning new sensor techniques always required a certain degree of meditation and contemplation- he'd learned that through his own experiences in the past. And as the young woman did so, hopefully gaining some headway with her efforts, the Akegarasu would attempt to recall what he had narrowly remembered only moments before. It was a critical ingredient, in this gumbo of factors they were attempting to cook up to perform the release detection technique, but it was lost deep in the archives of his mind. Snowflakes would drift down quietly from the sedated sky, touching upon his face and collapsing into minuscule tears of water. Consciously, he'd take soft, relaxing breaths of air and try to remember.

For the sake of teaching Areru to the best of his ability, the young man would probe his memories thoroughly with his mind. Training sessions, training sessions- with himself, with others, with Yuki-chan. In different lands, locales, and points in time. So many techniques he'd learned, so many hours he'd put into each to seed out the specifics and remember them by heart. And yet, he couldn't seem to remember learning the release detection technique. As much as he tried, he couldn't yet get the satisfaction of knowing whether he was taught how to do it by someone else, or whether he'd learned it on his own. At least, not yet. Whichever it was, something crucial laid in its details. And he knew once he'd obtained it- if he'd ever get the chance to- that it would help the young lass finish the technique off at a slightly quicker pace than usual.

Taking a breather from his mental efforts to remember, the half-masked male would abruptly straighten in his seat and stretch his arms, laying his solemn gaze upon Areru once more. His customary smile would pierce the features on his face, as he wiped off the frosty residue on his cold cheeks with the back of his gloved hand. "You look deep in focus, there." He'd start, hoping he hadn't startled her out of it, or impeded her learning in any way. "If you have any questions, or need any help, just give me the heads up, 'kay?" He'd voiced what he needed to say and blinked his eyes as he refocused the quality of his Mind's Eye. Sitting with a certain aloofness in his posture, Atlas would proceed to pay close attention to anything the young woman had to mention.

[Areru]

As her crimson eyes lay still as they looked at her arms beneath, one would think that she was simply staring at the floor yet- From her own eyes, it was totally different. He eyesight being clouded with the ways of the sensor, certain aspects of normal vision blanked out completely and instead being replaced by those of chakra sensing powers. It was these exact powers that made her quite interesting as a person but- With sensory, little people could tell of your power in it, unless that person was a sensor themselves. Beneath her eyes of crimson people would think there would be a sharinan eternally activated, although, secrets lay beneath them that she figured the majority of people hadn’t even guessed at- If they didn’t link her surname with anything, of course.

However- Being a sansutsomu, the only ones she knew were of her own family, the others she had briefly met whilst in the villages but no other vibrant figures made themselves apparent which was a shame since of all things, what Areru wanted was a strong Sansutsomu of female gender who she could look up to- People like her father and brothers, Atlas and Kaeor were all good of course, but with her mothers passing she lacked that motherly figure that so many other girls of her age had. But despite this, she turned out to be quite a well-rounded shinobi. A bit.. strange in the way that she preferred to hang around with boys rather than girls, but nonetheless normal. But, her blood limit, was far from that normality!

She herself was unsure if Atlas himself belonged to any certain family or clan- She knew that Kaeor could use crows, but that was about it, really. She was sure, however, that he was a brilliant sensor, and a brilliant raiton user- His knowledge of sensor techniques in particular with great, and he seemed to have no boundaries when willing to help her learn this release sensing technique. ”Raiton is yellow then, yes?” she’d inquire- She was pretty sure that he had past said this but she was double checking to make sure that she was going to pick up some other strange colour that might end up being wind or something like that. But- Snow delicately falling atop her dark green hair it would stand out quite visibly, yet, she ignored it as her entire point of focus was on the technique. When training- she could not be stopped, really.

"You look deep in focus, there."

But then- Silence seemed to rake the entire situation for a few moments as she’d keep working at attemoting to pick out colousr from the chakra that moved around in her form. With her head turning from it back to him, his chakra form visible to her eyes , she would respond; ”It’s quite a different technique- I haven’t seen anything like it before.. my eyes..” a pause would occur, as she, starting to trust this man, would divulge some information to him. ”We can pick up wisps of chakra within the bodies of people and within techniques- But they are of specialized releases. This however is a different process to how I’d normally activate my own eyes.” she’d tell him with a cough beforehand, explaining how she had a bit of difficulty- They were similar processes, yet, at the same time they were created differently, making it a bit hard for her to mark the line between the two. However- He had tried and tested it, and although unsure if he had some kind of special eyes, he had learned it, so that meant that she could do it too- Maybe.

"Yellow?" Atlas would reply in answer to her first inquiry. "Hm, well to you it might be. Normally the raw chakra surrounding us is yellow. But if you focus hard enough, you might see the static blue that I'm seeing in you. Then again, different sensors have been known to have different color coordination's for their release detection technique, so it's possible that it might appear yellow to you." Emerald eyes would shift towards her arms, enveloped with shades of whitish-blue, small sparks occasionally seen within each one. She looked like an intimidating being of electricity in this state. And he would try to imagine the type of chakra she was seeing in him, when she'd speak up once more, divulging a strength particular to her stormy red eyes.

"Interesting..." Atlas would reply, intrigued to learn more about her clan and the skills they possessed. "Utilize that to your advantage, then. It isn't as big as an obstacle than you think it is, it can help you." Nodding in affirmation, the Akegarasu would watch and ponder what he had tried to remember. "There's something I needed to tell you- about this technique, I mean... but it's on the tip of my tongue." Sure she wouldn't care for his aimless ramblings, the half-masked ninja would continue to gaze at the sky and wonder. With his recent thoughts, he garnered the fact that he had learned this particular technique sometime during the war. But not after it. This realization brought many factors into mind- as the war was certainly a time where everyone had to look after themselves, but at the same time, tried to maintain a team effort.

Therefore, the possibility that he had been taught by an outside source was very possible. Sighing with a pensive hmm, he'd continue to dig through these recollections and reminisce. He would try to imagine himself learning this technique anew, to play out the scenario, pretending he had never had the time to train in release detection. How would he have gone about it in the past? Would he have sought help, or would he have the potential to learn it on his own? And if so, as a ninja of Kumogakure who previously had no idea how to go about learning it, where would he start? There were certain factors he knew he would have looked upon, even in his past self. He would have caught on to certain things quickly, as was his nature. If he were learning how to sense releases all over again, he would have began with the element he wanted to detect in the first place.

A spike of remembrance, and he knew he was finally making some headway with this effort. Of course! That was it. Well, part of it... The information he'd acquired, despite his amnesia standing in the way, could prove to be somewhat helpful to Areru's training, but nothing really important or awe-inspiring. Nonetheless, he felt it was his duty to share whatever he'd learned with her, and he would do so as lightheartedly as he had done so before. "Hey, here's a tip: Try closing your eyes now. Imagine staring upon a canvas of pitch black- then try to inspire or imagine a color into life. Whatever color your mind leads you to, without a lot of effort from yourself. You should be able to feel something click after that- a connection with the chakra you're using for your sensory technique. When the connection is made, it'll show you the color of the release you're trying to detect. Then open your eyes when that happens- and focus on me to draw that color out."

"Hm, well to you it might be. Normally the raw chakra surrounding us is yellow.”

Oh- She had been doing it wrong, then.
But that was no matter, there was always time for progress and to change of course, but at the moment time was a little bit of the essence. She at least wanted to do a few things before she had to leave for the night to prevent herself from freezing to death- She would sleep soundly tonight probably, having learned a good few techniques that would be of good use for her in the exams themselves. ”Ah- I see- That explains it, then.” she would tell him simply- What she had been faintly seeing was the raw chakra then, what she needed to concentrate now was on blue, or at least some degree of blue chakra that could be described as Raiton- Raw and unpredictable, it was these things that she tried to look for within her arms, although at the moment, her form was a mere mixture of smooth chakra. Disappointment!

No matter though. ”I’m glad that I can use them, don’t get me wrong- But I need to work on them.” right now she only knew the most basic version, so it would be nice to upgrade them a bit, as so to say, in order for her to be able to detect stronger chakra within people and things that could help later on in life if she needed to see such things. She had requested her father to teach her in the past, and her eldest brother had promised to teach her, but when would the time come? Hopefully once she achieved Chuunin, or, after returning she would be able to learn how to use the eyes- A proud Sansutsomu, Areru was hoping to become quite the high ranking shinobi within the clan in a matter of years! Her experience would hopefully be passed on to others too. Atlas would be the first of her teachings!

His speech quieting a bit as he’d seem to want to remember something, the amnesia he had past spoken of probably clouding his memory, she would await for him to speak as she kept trying to get the chakra to appear within her arms. Right now it was quite strange and fiddly but with a bit more of training she didn’t doubt her ability to not do this. Confident when it came to training, she was even moreso when the weather was particularly bad. It wasn’t all that awful here, but it was different, and the cold air seemed to give her an edge when it came to training. Responding well to weather, she was much more.. animated when storms were occurring, not to say that she wasn’t interesting without one, of course. ”…….”

Her arms becoming a little bit stiff from being held in the same position for quite a while now she would move them around for a moment or two before then placing them back in the same one as before, her eyes intent on picking up the chakra. This would prove quite the fail, until he would seem to give her a piece of information that would illustrate what she needed to do much more. The way of the sensor was strange, especially when training. Unlike techniques when she had the teacher display the technique to her, with this.. you couldn’t see what was in the mind of others- Unless you could do something like that through a clan or something, of course. ”Oh..! That seems to make some sense- I’ll try that now. Thank you!” with that said, the youth would then shift her shoulderblades a little bit, moving them up and down once, as she’d then afterwards start on the canvas idea that he had suggested, she moving her gaze back to him as she would slowly but surely, after following his directions, make out very faint blue sparks----

Teaching ♬ Areru

"No problem." The Akegarasu would smile. "Keep up your efforts. I can tell you're getting used to it so far." Areru was indeed a quick learner, and one of the most talented "students" he'd ever taught, and the fact that she was any of these things made him realize that he might be expected to face off against her during the last round of the Chuunin Exams. Which he definitely did not plan on doing, at least, not aggressively so. Whether she had a hint of it or not, the young woman had become something of a pleasant acquaintance to the half-masked individual, a friend even. And while the title of Chuunin fueled his desire to excel in the coming days, he wouldn't mind learning a bit more about her clan and heritage. Fighting against her would certainly impede that, wouldn't it? Or at least make things a bit awkward afterwards.

Arching his back, pushing it forwards with his hand, he would release a satisfied ahh at the sound of a brittle pop. Then he would turn his relaxed gaze back into Areru's crimson red eyes, and notice a certain gleam about them. Ah, she was making progess after all! And it seemed like his advice had worked to some degree, which made him quite happy that he hadn't led her along the wrong path. Enhancing his sensor abilities, he would meticulously analyze the chakra around her head region, particularly centered around her strangely colored optics. The glow there was smooth and bright, and most importantly soft, which meant she had reached that state of sensor nirvana, where one could drop all other thoughts behind and simply connect with the innate ability. But it wasn't as refined as he had imagined it to be, and he knew she still needed to smooth some things out. "You look accomplished! Good news, I presume?"

Good news? Of course! It was all on her face, the expression, the aura- everything! But was there something the teacher in question could do to help her along with her efforts, perhaps? After all, it was his duty to give her that little push over the edge and compel her to complete this technique once and for all. "Hey, I'll tell ya what. I'm going to perform a string of hand seals and channel the different forms of chakra I have. They're all going to be different releases of course, but when you spot the seals that scream lighting, gimme a quick yep. I'll give you points for each one you get correct, and mark you down for those you miss or get wrong." Widening his smile by a few inches, the young man would commence, straightening on his seat and flexing his wrists.

The hand seals he would perform would consist of those that channeled suiton and raiton techniques. If her eyes could keep up, they would notice those that channeled raiton by the chain reactions all around his body- consisting of sparks and static blue hues in his chakra. Those that channeled suiton techniques... well, she wouldn't see any indication of such, because she hadn't practiced for detecting that specific release just yet. Pausing, only to give Areru a few moments to prepare her eyes and smooth out the chakra within them, Atlas would begin to execute a series of hand seals consecutively. He'd stop for a moment between each one, giving the young Sansutomu a moment to shoot of a quick answer- or guess- before continuing on to the next string of seals. Exactly how far had she gotten with her training? He'd find out now!

His help towards learning the technique was greatly appreciated- Of course, without him being there in the first place chances were she probably wouldn’t even be learning this technique, so she was pretty in debt to him for the different things he had taught her today. As his words eased her on to doing her best at this technique she couldn’t help but feel glad that she had ran in to him- Surely it was fate?! A string of events, perhaps? She was hoping that after the exams, they would remain friendly, hoping that the exams wouldn’t stir some kind of anger between them or something. The two were very similar in the way that they had their abilities set out, and it would be nice to team up with him for a mission or two in the future to see how things go- Especially one with some people to beat up! That should be pretty interesting to watch!

Areru’s eyes keenly watching him, she would hear some kind of pop as his back arched, she figuring that she was cracking the bone in his back to keep himself comfortable- He had been sitting in that position for a while now, so as she was, he was probably feeling a bit tired. She had grown tired after the training she had done, but she hadn’t let her own problems bring her down- She had much to learn! His request would then soon come to the open as he’d ask about how she was getting on, to which she gladly responded with; ”I think it’s getting there- I can see.. really faint blue sparks around you. It’s nothing special, though.” she would tell him with a slight shrug in her words as her arms hung lifelessly to her sides, her eyes simply staring at him- It looked a bit.. weird, but, as long as he knew that she was training sensory and wasn’t simply staring at him in an intimidating manner, she hoped that he hadn’t been scared or anything!

The red of her eyes looking quite demonic, they usually pierced other’s gazes, which was quite a good thing when it came to genjutsu, her secondary ability, as some required eye contact to be made between the two. With such captivating eyes atop and beneath the contacts, they were unmissable in a crowd, even. ”…….” And now- He would seem to suggest a way for her to train this newly found ability. Agreeing with this, up for anything that would further her knowledge and to help her keep this technique in her memory she would nod her head and watch as he would then form seals, certain techniques pertaining to certain elements, and for the first few they seemed to be undetectable to her chakra sensing eye but- As the raiton technique’s handseals would be formed…

”..Woah!”

In front of her where his figure was lay a sea of blue sparks, the very energy from the chakra that was building up within him being quite clear to see in her eyes. With an impressed look on her face the ranton heir would grin widely at the success. ”It’s so strange..” she would murmur quietly as she’d look at him for a few more minutes, her eyes soon getting used to the sparks that covered his entire being as the technique was to be deployed- Of course, they weren’t truly going to be utilized, but the raiton chakra created was great for learning from when it came to this technique. ”Thank you- I think I’ve got the hang of this now. But now on to a more important matter-” a pause, and a cough. ”Would you like me to teach you this technique now? Or do you have something else planned?” she would ask, wondering if he had another technique up his sleeve. Either way she’d be happy to learn or teach, so she would await, her eyes still glazing over his raiton-chakra covered form in awe.

Hands would outstretch, seemingly ready to perform another string of hand seals, but would halt when Areru expressed her awe over what she could see. The Akegarasu would suddenly sport a broad smile, and use those outstretched hands to produce a single clap instead, rising from his seat and tucking them into the warmth of his coat pockets shortly afterwards. She'd gotten it at last! He could tell, and was quite happy for her. Now she'd be able to detect any electrifying baddies that would threaten her in the future, and prepare accordingly based on the chakra nature present. The young girl would continue to stare, and even go as far as calling it all strange- with good reason, of course. "Nice job, Areru~! Looks like you finally pinned this tech down, hm?"

She'd thank him and cough a bit before asking the Akegarasu after future plans. The man in question promptly looked up at the sky to check. Seemed like they still had a good while until night time, and even then they could take their training elsewhere if needed. A public dojo down the road came to mind, but he doubted whether the Samurai there were open to sharing that establishment with ninja or not. "Yeah, I'm down for that." He'd smile. "Let's train some more... but are you okay... ? You seem to be developing some form of cough there. I hope you being out here with me in the cold hasn't caused that." He'd continue with concern. He was more than ready to train or teach in anything she required, as quickly as they had done so before, but he couldn't continue unless he knew she was well enough to do so. Prodding her along- that he would not do.

But if she was well, and ready to train, there were a few techniques that came to mind. He could perhaps teach her one of his body flicker techniques, or the Shocking Clone, if she had yet to learn it. But as his mind drifted through other thoughts, he took into consideration that she had things of her own to teach him, and he was very interested as to what she held in her arsenal. He was most interested, however, in techniques of higher natures. Those that were difficult to train for and sometimes even difficult to execute. But the Akegarasu liked a challenge, and he would only inquire after such a technique if Areru was doing okay. Of course, he was more open to being a teacher, for her own benefit, but he'd put his little self-righteous act away if she offered her own help again.

With her eyes still viewing Atlas as the body of chakra, the blue of raiton being quite easy to see amongst the colour of the rest of the chakra that pulsed through his being- It was interesting to say the very least, and now that she had gotten the hang of it, she looked forwards to using it later on in life if she ever did come to a situation where she’d need to be able to see different chakra in the bodies of others. If she was pitted against another raiton user in the exams, it would be useful to see if he was going to perform a raiton technique or not, so then she could counter it perhaps. Or- To simply see what element each person was capable of using. She could go check people out in her spare time between the rounds to prepare herself, right? Yeah, that seemed like a plan!

”-I hope I have. It would be a shame to forget such a technique, especially in the middle of these exams.” she would tell him with a slight nod, but she was pretty sure that she’d remember how to use it, as she went over the handseals in her mind, making sure that it stuck. Strangely enough she had noticed how shinobi seemed to remember handseals to techniques quite easily- But she guessed that over time it just came naturally to them, right? She then ceasing to view the world in chakra form as her sensory abilities stopped, she would soon get used to the light around her, seeing Atlas as normal as any non-sensor person would see him, fully of red and ruffles.

”Oh, no. I’m fine. I’ve had it for a while now. Thank you, though.” Inquiring about her cough she would bow her head a little bit. She was fine of course, she could keep going for a while now, and yet her body slowed down a little bit! Such was the unfortunate curse that she held but, it was her best efforts to not make it too obvious. ”I’ll begin to teach you now so it’s fair.” she would tell him, insisting that she begin training once more. If anything, she was quite excited about teaching him the technique she had in mind- The lightning strike armour technique, which she was quite happy about having! It was one she had used a few times in the past, and in all those times, it had proved very useful against foes who preferred taijutsu or any attacks that required touch.

”It’s called Raigeki no yoroi, or, lightning strike amour.”

She having said that, she would approach Atlas to stand where he was, as she would begin to explain what was needed for the technique. ”It’s basically what it describes it to be- Lightning armour. It’s very useful against taijutsu users and any attacks that require physical contact.” with that information having been said the girl would then peform handseals quite rapidly as her raiton chakra spread across her body in the same quick manner as lightning came crashing down, forming a light blue sort of shield over herself as protection. It would glow slightly against the snow around them, and, she would keep this up for Atlas to see. She had gone quite fast at the start, although, with the armour still activated, she would then begin by re-doing the handseals that she had formed, but without the chakra that she had imbuned in to the last ones.

Repeating them, she would wait and watch as he too would hopefully copy her. ”I’ve never taught to anyone before, so please say if I’m going too quick or slow.” this said, she would then keep forming the handseals again and again, for him to pick up on.

She claimed to be fine, but it was within Atlas' reason to doubt that somewhat. Whether it was his nature as a caretaker, or his intuition as a ninja, he did not know, but the half-masked male would comply with Areru's statement nonetheless. The most he could do was keep a close eye on her if things started to get really bad. When she'd offered herself as a teacher, however, he was relieved of his worry quite a bit. Surely, she wouldn't offer such tutelage if she wasn't doing well... right? Humbly, the Akegarasu would accept her volunteer service, and nod in return, beaming a bright smile. "I'm interested to see what you have to teach. Anything will do, but preferably something of higher rank." Bracing himself, by rolling his shoulders and flexing his neck, Atlas would assume the role of the student and listen closely to what she had to say.

Ah, the Lightning Armor technique! How much he had heard of that one before, and how many times it had been used during the war by many of his comrades. He was excited to garner its power from this young lass, and would continue to lend his ears as she explained its motive and use in practical situations. It had a shocking tendency to deter attacks of physical nature, which the Akegarasu found useful- based on the muscular and toned contestants he had seen at the lobby upon his registration. This could very well prove to be the technique that would help him obtain the title of Chuunin once and for all. The girl would then commence to perform the appropriate hand seals, and Atlas would watch with an inquisitive eye as she did so, marking each seal and running it through his mind in order. She kept a steady pace, so he was able to keep up comfortably.

And with the hand seals out of the way, the Akegarasu would witness as a surge of lightning enhanced chakra struck and spread throughout her body like wildfire. It formed a beautiful outline of electric blue around her frame, neon-like light spreading across the snowy surface below them. Atlas' attention would perk up, temporarily turning away from the stunning sight, as Areru reissued the hand seals needed for the technique in question. She would continue to do so in a repetitive manner, asking if she was going to slow or too fast for Atlas' liking. The Akegarasu would shake his head, and show a determined gleam in his eye as he began to copy the seals. A completely different person from his normally aloof nature. "You're doing just fine- that's a pace I can keep up with." He'd reply, going through the hand seals one last time before stopping on the final one.

"Ok... so where do I go from here?" He'd ask, channeling raw chakra within his core as he waited for further instructions. "I can begin to mold electric chakra within me... but how do I compel it to form into armor, as you have? It seems so... formidable and strong. Unlike the Plasma Ball." He'd chuckle at the awe-inspiring power it radiated. "I might be in over my head here." Nonetheless, he would tighten the hand seal he held, fingers curling into one another, as he kept his focus on the chakra that stirred within. Soon enough, it would be put to use, converted and used in an attempt to imitate armor such as Areru's. But he needed to concentrate, to listen closely to her words and follow her examples. The role of the student was one he hadn't taken in a long, long time, and the young man would have to run through the details of being one through his mind once more.

His response to her question had been quite a good one- So she wasn’t going too fast for him, that was great. All through her life she had always been the student, ranging from simple techniques in academy to being taught by her father and elder brothers at home, and then to the latest, learning how to perform sensory techniques by Hirihi, and now learning a range of different techniques from Atlas. So, there was no real thinking, right? Or, you just had to explain how exactly to perform the technique in a way that would be quite understandable. Some people picked up on things straight away, but she wasn’t sure if Atlas was one of them or not, so she went at quite a comfortable pace- Not too quick, but at the same time, not with the speed of a slug. It was like this, she would continue to teach him, the raiton chakra raw on her thin frame.

She would watch as he too would from the seals, she having ceased minutes ago to observe him- He had done them correctly, so that was the first step already checked off. However, should he fail, he would have to go back to that step again, something that she figured he wouldn’t have to do but- You never knew. It was quite a complicated technique to learn, but she hoped that he understood it, and more importantly, understood what she was saying. ”The way I see it..” a pause would occur as her eyes would turn upwards for a few moments as she’d gaze at the sky above, dropping white snowflakes upon them as if it was the rain that they were used to in Kumo. It sure was different around here. ”...Imagine having a second skin, if that makes sense. Like a garment- A shirt, as so to say.” it was a little bit confusing, but the green haired girl would go on to explain further.

”You release your chakra around your body as a thin, yet sturdy cover. Like icing a cake, I guess.” it was a strange way of describing it, but it simply meant that Atlas needed to make a layer of chakra around his body that could then be converted in to raiton chakra- But that was the start of it of course. Convering it required a bit more effort than what he was currently doing. With she sitting upon the log that he had been sat on her knees would part a bit and her elbows would touch upon them, her arms hanging down as she’d look onwards at him as he attempted to perform the technique, the handseals long done, the only part left now was the whole chakra element of it. She was sure that he would do fine.

”Plasma ball is good, of course, but I’m sure the two can be used in different situations.” she would tell them- Both had advantages and disadvantages, the ones that belonged to this, she would tell him later on once he got the hang of it so he didn’t walk blindly in to a fight using this technique, unknown of the limitations that it had. For her however, this technique was quite good since with her skinny frame, taijutsu wasn’t exactly her forte, and she did look the kind to be swept away in the wind due to her lanky appearance but- With this technique, it would cause any taijutsu techniques towards her to backfire painfully against the attacker! Huzzah! ”………”

Sensei Training

A second skin, huh? Atlas would muse, repeating through his mind the advice Areru had shared only a moment ago. And all the while, stirring from within him a power that was so warm and appealing that the cold of the snow no longer bothered him. He would take in a deep, frigid breath, chilling his lungs to the core and holding it all in. Then he'd released that same breath, more warmly than before, expelling it in a light mist from his open mouth. Closing his eyes, the Akegarasu would continue to hold the seal, continue to listen to Areru and continue to put his thoughts into action. In order to do what she had mentioned, to spread the lightning over him like a garment of some sort, he'd need to form that element beforehand. And from what he could tell, it needed to be smoothed out, instead of retaining its typical wild and ecstatic form.

"Icing a cake?" Atlas would repeat with a small smile as he kept his eyes closed. "I didn't take you for a baker, Areru." Allowing that moment to be spent in carefree humor, the half-masked ninja would then continue to try and convert his stored up chakra. A mental link would be created with it, a connection that reached to a subconscious level, even. He could literally feel the chakra in his stomach, gathering, building up, crashing into itself like a wayward wave. And as this calamity continued within, he would utilize his mental connection to urge a feeling into wake. That feral sensation he'd mentioned to the young lass before, imagining only images of lightnings, storms and electricity in the air. Pushing this element into the raw core of his chakra.

Fortunately for him, the process had gone by faster than he'd expected. A spark was lit within his chakra, igniting the element and spreading it just as quickly, the chi flaring up in a tingling sensation all around his body. It'd happened faster than he had expected, but he figured that the lightning was becoming more of an ally to him than it had been before. It was actually heeding his commands to the split-second, and balancing itself when it did so, on most occasions. He felt like he could rely on it much more than he had done so before, but he wouldn't let it catch him off guard either. It was still a dangerous element- like a wild animal, that could bite if left unchecked or underestimated. And he would treat it as such.

With the lightning chakra flared up and contained within, Atlas would start to try to move that immense conduit of power required for this technique into action, but it remained still- despite all the mental effort he put into it. Sure, he could probably utilize it to shield his stomach if he wanted to- but he desired full-on body armor like Areru had done. And the Akegarasu wasn't one for giving up easily. "Hey, Areru." He'd start. "I'm having trouble moving it from within my body. Like, spreading it around and such. It just feels... so... heavy. And I'm afraid it'll burst if I force it too much. Any tips?"
