The time spent within the next few moments would greatly be placed on him and how he was getting on with learning it. The technique having long since left her body, the blue glow now nonexistent around her frame, she would preserve what chakra she had left in order to do some more training later on or when they saw fit. For now however, she would simply observe and guide when he needed some help in learning how to do a certain step for the technique. She wouldn’t think less of him if he inquired for some help of course, as she had found the technique increasingly difficult in comparison with other techniques she had learned. ”…..” all would lay silent for a while as the pirate-esque guy would keep working at the technique.

And then- Quite a strange comment about being a baker, in relation to the cake comment she had previously made. ”I can’t cook all that well- Some people are gifted with it naturally but I tend to burn everything that I try to make. My family can cook well, though, which is pretty ironic since I’m meant to be the woman of the house now.” she would tell him honestly, yet with no shame tied towards not being able to cook well- She knew she was crap at cooking, and she accepted that. Maybe she could take a cooking course in a local community centre- She knew of some cooking shinobi within the village, so maybe they could just teach her how to make soup or something normal like that. But- Turning her attention back again to the auburn shinobi, she was unable to see exactly how he was faring with the technique but-

She could tell that he was doing his best simply due to the expression upon his face as he attempted to perform the technique. A slightly strained or focused look on his face she would soon hear words escape from his mouth, as he requested a bit more guidance on how to utilize the technique. Of course, she was happy to comply with this, as he had been so kind as to teach him a number of techniques earlier in the day. ”With the chakra all bundled up inside you now- You need to evenly disperse it. Imagine all of your pores on your body, all tiny little openings that your chakra could release from. It’s best to imagine yourself coated in these little spots, and focus on releasing your chakra from each one.” she’d pause once more, a small cough emitted. ”Think of a glass with the water right full to the brim- See how it sits upon the top without falling down, if that makes sense? Imagine that layer above your skin.”

That having been said, she would hope that it at least made the littlest of sense to say the least- She wanted it to be full well understandable to him of course, but she wasn’t too sure as to how to describe it all to him. She had strange ways of processing and remembering things, so she would be quite happy if he did end up learning the technique! Hoping that he got to identify with what she was saying, the green haired girl would keep sitting in the same position she was in, watching as he’d try to form the technique, a look of concentration upon his face, which, she hadn’t seen before in the spot of a teacher.

Sensei Training

She mentioned her cooking savvy family, and the fact that she was no good at all with the stove or anything that required such talents, but what caught his attention was the last bit. But despite his curiosity, he'd focus at the technique at hand. He needed to devise some way of moving this energy about, and even while Areru gave him the advice he required, he would continue to concentrate at the endeavor in hand and form his own theories and actions. But he had to admit, her guidance was very helpful, and he was moving at a speed that he would not have been moving at by himself. Perhaps... they could do this again sometime? After the Chuunin Exams, even. He couldn't explain it, but her presence was a great benefit to his abilities and overall mood. And the fact that they were helping each other so smoothly reinforced that idea.

His brow knitting in concentration, the Cloud ninja would take a deep breath and put the electric chakra into motion. Areru mentioned something like a glass with the water right full to the brim, which just happened to sit very well with Atlas in his mind. He somehow understood what she meant, as the power thrummed beneath his skin, and he cleared his mind as the lightning chakra grew light. Then, with its weight lessened and his mental power through the roof, he would begin to spread the chakra like butter on a hot pan, easing it throughout his entire body. Feeling it tickle and crawl beneath his skin, forcing himself not to utter an embarrassing laugh. The sensation was a little uncomfortable, to be honest, but he could suffer through it as he tried to even the power out around his entire frame, a slight blue glow beginning to manifest.

Static crackled beneath his skin, pricking the hairs on each arm upwards, and forcing Atlas' breath to stutter in reply, like he had just been splashed with an entire bucket of cold water. But unlike cold water, this energy was warm and hot, livening up his senses and forcing his back straight. Peeking an eye open, to relax his eyelids, he would spot Areru sitting on the log he'd been at before, watching him as he continued. She took to the role of the teacher just fine, hadn't she? And he hoped the same could be said for him, as a student who hadn't been enrolled for years now. But such was the effect of war, who had no time to teach during its reign and no time for students. Just warriors and bloodshed.

The lightning energy became to spread around his entire body evenly now, when it had been concentrated mostly around his stomach area, now it was balancing on his arms, legs, waist, feet, hands, torso- every limb he had. The itching sensation was disturbing, but he would pump some raw chakra into his circulatory system to surface towards his skin, placing a layer that would, for the most part, cease the disrupting feeling. And as the Akegarasu continued to concentrate, he would go back to that family Areru had mentioned, and the sentence that had garnered his curiosity. "Hey... you mentioned that you'd have to be the woman of the house now... for your family. Forgive me if I'm intruding... by why is that so?" He couldn't help but have noticed the somewhat quiet tone she'd taken when she'd said those words, and he was curious as to why exactly, hoping he hadn't been rude.

[Areru]

Her crimson eyes would keep watching carefully as he’d probably shift his chakra about as he’d try and grab ahold of what Areru had suggested for him to try. It was a new sense, really, and it needed some getting used to. She had taken enough time attempting to learn how to sense that raiton release within people, but he seemed to be getting to know this quite quickly in comparison- Or, she had just managed to scrape learn it, he seemed to be doing well. The first few rounds had been confusing for him as it seemed, but he soon eased in to the idea of training an armour technique. It was the only kind of release-related armour technique that she knew, so she was hoping that it would be useful if she was to learn how to harness say, water armour, if that even existed. The process would be similar, but using another release was tricky.

But, being a Sansutsomu and her skill being able to mould three types of releases together to create fierce storms, she knew how to mould it but it was always hard at the start. Like climbing a mountain, the toughest part was the start when you needed to get used to it, but then the rest was a breeze. And luckily for her, on the battlefield, using them when in combat came easy for her. Her piercing gaze stuck on his face she’d notice a slightly uncomfortable look- Had he performed it wrong? He could perhaps be suffering from static shocks- That tended to happen to her a lot, but that was just her, as her brothers didn’t fall victim to them as often as she had. A magnet to such things, she thought it was simply down to her genes. Her great, great grandfather probably had that problem too, or something.

"Hey... you mentioned that you'd have to be the woman of the house now... for your family. Forgive me if I'm intruding... by why is that so?"

As he requested to learn of why she had refered to it as that, her head would tilt to the side if but a bit, as her usual smile would befall upon her face. It was free information, and he did have a right to know, of course. ”We lost our mother a few days after I was born.” she would tell him- The pretty, green haired woman had been fine with having Areru’s brothers but she had maintained a healthy being during the end of their births- Having Areru, however, she had been struck down by her illness at the worst possible point, and it had proved the death of her in the end. However, it didn’t really bother Areru any more, as she was reminded of her every day through her own sickness, and she was sure she wouldn’t want her moping around the place instead of living her life. ”It’s OK though- My dad is a great cook.” she would tell him, lightening the mood somewhat as the smile would soon turn in to a great, large grin.

It wasn’t as if the powerful sansutsomu she had for a father had a feminine touch.. he just knew how to cook, that was all. But- She did sometimes wonder what it would be like with a mother around. Her brothers had past told her how she was, her mannerisms, what she usually said, how she dressed, the soft tone of her voice when she put them to sleep in the night and awoke them in the morning- all of the things that she hadn’t been able to experience. However- Her mind shifting from such things, she needed to concentrate more on him learning the technique. Looking at him once more the uncomfortable look seemed to keep upon him in the slightest of ways but- Now there seemed to be progress! ”You seem to be doing it right- Try to strengthen it. Push a little bit more chakra around the layer to assure that you have the best coverage.” she would tell him simply with a cough as she tried to explain what to do next- The blue around him symbolized that he was doing it right but, he had yet to have the intense glow that the technique was known for!

But this was soon to come!

Sensei Training

News of her mother's death caught him by surprise, and he suddenly regretted asking her about such things. Who was he to bring about those memories once more? Surely it brought some form of gloom upon her, but as she continued to talk- this time mentioning the culinary skills of her father- her mood seemed to perk up once more. Obviously, the mention of her mother hadn't saddened her as much as Atlas had thought it would, and he was quite happy that she was currently content. Peeking an eye open to pay witness to her grin, he'd turn his attention back to the technique at hand for the time being. The lightning chakra he'd molded together within his core had a lifespan, he presumed, and he needed to work on it quick before it hit the deadline.

He could feel it beneath his skin, crackling and buzzing but otherwise balanced throughout. But the problem here was the fact that it seemed too light to continue on and provide any form of defense and support. It felt like static jello within his flesh and he needed to reach an equilibrium with the density of such an element to utilize it like Areru had utilized it before. Tightening the hand seal he held, to use it as an anchor for his concentration, the Cloud ninja would begin to pinpoint the source of his troubles and work on it. He'd start at the center of the chakra he'd formed, at the core where it had been born, molded, converted and spread. Then he'd release a slight sigh as he drew more chakra from that source.

Handfuls of energy materialized from within him, immediately being broken down and transmitted evenly as his other chakra had been. This raw power would be used to reinforce and bolster the efforts of the already existent lightning chakra, and he'd focus on that main point as he continued on. In the meantime, he wondered how the young lass thought he was faring, and whether he was doing things the way she had mentioned or advised. It baffled him slightly, how his past self could not have learned this technique before, when he had witnessed it in the war countless amount of times. But then again, he figured he had used his Plasma Ball technique, then, to make up for it. Suddenly, an idea came to mind.

If the Lightning Armor was anything like the Plasma Ball, then it followed the same restrictions when it was being released out into the existent plane. Though his current ideas were iffy, boiling within his mind as he thought it over, Atlas was convinced he would gain some leeway in the coming minute or two. All he needed to do was make sure his electric based chakra was ready for the task at hand, and reinforced for its defense. His eyes slowly open, and he gazed down at both the arms at his sides as he held the hand seal. The blue glow around his frame had gotten stronger, but no physical lightning was present to assist him against any unforeseen taijutsu attacks. A sigh would escape his lips, followed by a determined smile. His next move would be his strongest!

[Areru]

All would lay silent for a while and she couldn’t help but think that after saying that there had been a death in her family it had made thinks a bit awkward. A sheepish grin upon her face her right arm would raise and rub the back of her neck for a moment or so before her arm would come down again to the same position it had been in, as she’d keep watching him try to perfect the technique that he was currently learning, she hoping that her words had been of it but just a little bit of use to him. She’d need to get working on this whole teaching thing if she wanted to become a Chuunin, right? Later on in time, if she was a Chuunin, she’d probably be made to lead a team- And you needed great leadership and teaching skills for that.

But it would all begin with teaching this technique, and if she couldn’t show him how to use this, she probably couldn’t lead a team of genin to save her life! With determination to get him to learn this she would go onwards and keep trying to help him to learn the technique, looking at the faint blue around him shifted some what as he’d probably try to get a grasp on the chakra that was pouring out of his very pores to fuel the technique. ”……..” She couldn’t tell at the current moment how well he was taking the technique but by the progress he had made up to now it would seem as if he was well on his way to learning how to use it correctly, and, her best of luck to him, she’d hope that he would learn it without problem.

The sound of electricity buzzing around the place as the technique sprung to life around him she couldn’t help but feel happy that she had managed to help teach him this technique, even though she still owed him due to the fact that he himself had taught her more than one technique whilst she had only taught him one up to now- And she was currently still in the process of teaching said technique. Looking to the side for a few moments and letting the sound of electricity fill her up as she would space out, her eyes looking at the snow=covered trees and whatever wildlife was probably within them, she would but wonder what kind of people lived here- Samurai, she was sure, but were they able to do something with the snow? She lived in Kumo and had the ability to manipulate storms, which was fitting. But, what about snow?

”Oh..!” but now- he seemed to be getting the hang of it, as he had no doubt thought of another plan that was simpler than the way that she had described it herself. Listening in as the sound of static continued to rush through the area, her eyes were set on his arms where the blue would seem to turn stronger, as if injected by some kind of extra strength. ”You’re doing it great! Keep at it. I’m unsure how exactly you’re setting it out to learn it right now, but it seems to be working well! But- One word of warning about this technique. Although it is great, you can’t perform other seals when its active, which is the only down-point about it, really.” she would tell him with a word of advice towards him- He probably was better at taijutsu than she was, so this would be no problem for him.

Sensei Training

"No hand seals, hm?" The Akegarasu would reply, closing his eyes as he focused once more. "It's more similar to the Plasma Ball than I'd thought. A bit tougher to control though." Brows continued to crease as he tapped into the lightning running along the surface of his body. He took into account that feeling the young Sansutomu had explained to him- a feeling like placing on a shirt or garment of some sort. And he could actually feel it, and maintain it too. His skin, coated in an electric blue hue, buzzing around and crawling with the element hidden within it. It reminded him of the Plasma Ball, sure, but it was much more condensed and packed in, to the point where he felt like he was wearing a heavy overcoat. As slightly disturbing as that was, the half-masked male would take a deep breath and try to get his mind on point.

"I think.... I think I've almost got it." He would murmur, holding the hand seal he had issued to tap into the chakra stored within, trying to lighten up the burden that he currently felt. As he continued, however, the lightning around him seemed to dim down and flicker in and out. His chakra was unstable, steadily losing the strong presence it had shortly before, and flickering the blue hue outside of his body in and out like a broken light. "Darn..." He'd grumble, shutting his eyes tight as he continued to focus. His mental connection with the power stored throughout him informed him on the status of its current stability- low, and on the unfortunate brink of dying out completely. What baffled him was that he'd been so close, so close to achieving that armor Areru had performed, and now it was all going kaput for some reason.

He would rethink his strategy thoroughly- what he was doing wrong and how he could fix it. Ideas and theories flashed through his mind like a wave of butterflies, swerving in and out, being shot down in milliseconds as Atlas continued to look for a plausible solution. He would go back to his training for the Plasma Ball technique, and try to garner some advice from that experience. If they were so similar, surely the Plasma Ball had some secret that would help him increase the strength of his dense lightning chakra. And he'd flip through those memories meticulously, looking for something- anything- that would help him continue on and finish this awesome move once and for all. Then, as he was lightly biting his bottom lip in concentration, an answer came to mind.

He'd lightly breath in the cold air that permeated the atmosphere, ignoring the slight sting in his lungs as he did so. Relaxation was key, relaxation was everything, and as he inhaled, the Cloud ninja would urge his lightning chakra to follow in accordance. Then, he would suddenly exhale, and with it, he would send a burst all around his body, igniting the sleeping behemoth of energy that was stored within. Opening his eyes at the split-moment he did so, he would take notice of the intense blue glow that suddenly surrounded his body, lightning chakra rising from his frame and condensing to a point where it almost looked solid- like electric blue metal. And strangely, the Cloud ninja didn't feel bogged down or uncomfortable in anyway. Beaming with a grin, and dropping his hand seal once and for all, he'd turn to Areru and spread his arms wide. "I think I got it." He'd say, displaying what he hoped looked like a completed Lightning Armor technique. "I think i did it!"

[Areru]

Removing herself from the log that she had been sitting upon for the past duration that he had been attempting to learn the lightning armour technique, she would then be hit with the bitter cold of the weather around her, a constant reminder that she was not back home where the weather was usually humid, but she was in a different land- And her family was miles away. But not one to become homesick, Areru showed no signs of missing Kumo of course, although, she sure couldn’t wait until she set back upon the land- Hopefully, as a Chuunin! Looking to Atlas as the technique would seem to falter, she would simply pray mentally that he’d get it right- He had been doing so well up to now! Letting it all go to waste at this moment in time would be a bad thing!

”You almost had it- Give it another shot, Atlas!” The cheery green haired girl would say this as she’d bend a little bit to take a closer look at the lightning armour that he currently bore around his being. It had evidently lowered in power due to the fact that the glow around it had lessened quite dramatically over the last minute or so- But that didn’t mean that it was all over for him, no, not at all. This was just the beginning! Hoping that he would get it right, she was quite unsure of what to say as far as supportive words would be said- She wasn’t quite sure how he was getting it wrong because she hadn’t taught this technique before or- Having picked it up quite quickly without many mishaps, what was happening currently to his armour hadn’t happened to hers- It was a true mystery!

But, all would soon seem back to normal as she’d watch his expression change, he taking a deep breath and then.. CRACK! exhaling, the dim light around him would suddenly spark to life with some kind of irregular burst of energy- Cough It was quite unexpected, and the look upon the sansutsomu’s face showed this, but it was not a look of disgust or anything of the sort- She was quite proud of him for placing the missing puzzle piece in its place and managing to sort out the problem that he had been having! Watching as the electricity coursed on top of his body and clothing, the light blue chakra glowing brightly against the snow around them and the darkness that soon began to set in, it was quite beautiful to watch, really.

”…Atlas!
You did it!”

With quite some happiness she would tell this to him- Of course, he obviously knew that he had performed the technique, but she saying this simply voiced her joy over him having learned it correctly in the end. Now, she could but hope that the technique stuck in his mind like glue! It was a lucky one, and who knows? He might end up using it in the exams themselves. ”It looks great! I’m glad that you’ve gotten the hang of it.” she would tell him with a wide grin at his wide-armed position. But now- What would happen? Were they to now part? Or was there to be more training? She was unsure what else she could teach him as he already seemed to know quite a lot, but who knows? There may be a thing or two in store, should he choose to continue!

"I'm glad, too." Atlas beamed in response to Areru's statement, looking down at the bewitching blue glow that surrounded him. Sounds like twigs snapping reverberated through the air, an intoxicating sensation thrumming beneath his skin. He was nearly awestruck to have finally learned this technique, and his gratitude went far. Now he had a slightly better chance of succeeding during the Chuunin Exams, and he had the young lass sitting on the log to thank for that. "You've got my thanks for teaching me this." He'd say, waving his arms around as the electric blue glow that followed them cut through the snowflakes that fell from the sky. "I've seen people use it often in Kumogakure, but I've never actually gotten around to learning it myself. Without you, I may never have had the chance to do so, honestly." Tossing her a warm glance, he would deactivate the technique and watch as it dissipated away.

Looking up at the sky, after the last of his static buzzed away, the Akegarasu would notice the snow lightening up. Nothing but gray skies overhead- night had yet to arrive, based on what he saw. Everything seemed to go by a lot slower in these lands, after all. Including the Chuunin Exams. The half-masked male would cease from his sky-gazing and abruptly look down towards his green-haired acquaintance. "Hey, I think I might have fought beside one of your brothers in the past." He'd bluntly state. "He was a good man. Kinda dressed like you sometimes too." He smiled. "Color-wise, I mean. I'd imagine he taught you a lot of things as you were growing up, huh? I vaguely recall him being adept with the body flicker techniques, too. In fact, he was the one who helped me advance in that particular set of techniques. Do you share his skill?"

[Areru]

Watching as he’d proudly wear the armour for just a little while longer before dispelling it, she did feel glad that she had returned the favour that he had done her by teaching her various raiton and sensory techniques by giving him the knowledge to learn this. It did make her quite happy! This thanks would be spoken and she would but nod her head curtly in response, as all in all, he did deserve to be taught the technique- She was just the person who had taught it to him. ”It’s absolutely no problem. I’m glad that you’re happy with it! It was interesting to learn all these new things, but it was also nice of her to teach him things back.

Raising her arms somewhat as she’d then stretch, her hands moving right up in to the air as she’d feel the very muscles of her arms stretching as she’d do so- It was a nice feeling, and like someone clicking their back, she had waited for this moment for a long time. After doing so, her attention would be directed back at Atlas he spoke of one of her brothers, and how he thought that he had fought alongside him in the past. That was pretty interesting! Seeing as people from her family did wear the colours she at the moment was wearing- Red and black, she would nod her head understandingly. ”If he wore clothing similar in colour to me and had blue eyes and brown hair, then that was probably one of my brothers- Which one, though..” the last part was more of just herself pondering rather than a question, although when he spoke of body flickers, she would nod her head, knowing exactly which one it was. ”Oh- Body flickers. That’s Kouten, then.” she would tell him, giving him the name of the brother.

”Kouten is my third eldest brother.” she would tell him- The ages of her brothers ranged from 19 to 28, so at the time, Kouten must have been at least somewhere around his age, right? He was 25 at the moment, so perhaps he had been older than Atlas- Not knowing his age, she couldn’t exactly tell. But, it was neat that the two of them had met before, right? Even if it had been during wartime. And now- As he asked about body flicker and whether she knew about it well, she could but remember back to the training she had been given by Hirihi where she had learned how to use it for the first time. She had known her brother could use the technique, but he had never offered to train her- Usually it was the two eldest that offered such bonding sessions.

”He hasn’t taught me. He’s usually busy these days, so there isn’t much time to do it.”

She would tell him quite honestly- Being the third eldest he wasn’t as skilled as his older brothers but he was indeed getting there, and he was always quite busy with his Chuunin duties, running around the village on missions, helping people and so on- But that wasn’t to say she didn’t get along with him, no. She saw him a lot, just usually when she did it was his relaxing time, and he probably wouldn’t appreciate teaching after a hard day’s work. Maybe she could ask him to teach her some things later on in time. Looking back up to Atlas, she would await his response- Was he going to teach her these variations of body flicker? She would wait with bated breath as she’d simply wonder- What versions of it had he known? She didn’t even know there were different versions, but knew full well that her brother was incredibly skilled in the art.

"He hasn't taught you?" Atlas would repeat, a little surprised by the declaration. "Hm, I guess you're right. I expected Kouten to busy after the war. The guy was talented, and I wouldn't be surprised if he were a Chuunin already. Heck, Jounin even." Thoughts drifted back to those times as he glanced at the pearly white snow blanketed around the ground. To think that at least some of his comrades during that time were still alive and well, it gave him some form of hope- to perhaps find them, and talk to them about his past. Maybe they knew something. Maybe he'd told them something concerning what he'd previously forgotten. So far, they were the only leads to the mysterious history he held. But for now, he'd push those thoughts away- focused on teaching Areru what her brother had failed to teach her before. As a favor to his comrade, and as a favor to the young lass.

"Ok then, I guess I'll teach you the tricks of the trade then, hm?" He'd suddenly smile. "It isn't that hard- as long as you know the basis of the body flicker technique. We'll start with the retracting body flicker- better known as the Kakezori. I'll explain the specifics behind it a bit more clearly later on. But for now, I want you to line up a clear path, to make sure you don't run into anything behind you, and gather your chakra once more. Focus and balance it on your feet and ankles, and when you're ready, tell me so." With a nod, he'd signal her to start, digging his hands further into the warmth of his pockets. A soft mist escaped his mouth as he exhaled, and he would wave his hand through it experimentally, dissipating it as soon as it had come.

The realization that Areru's brother was still here opened up a whole new door for him, and he was still adjusting to the thought of discovering his lost past. What he would find out, whether it was good or bad, he did not know. But something within him, a little voice he hadn't heard since that day, told him to stop. To stop trying to figure it out, to put it all behind him lest he get caught in an unfortunate situation. There was something ominous about the entire thing. He could feel it, but he couldn't walk away from it. A somewhat solemn expression laid upon his face as Areru commenced to gather her chakra, as he continued to reminisce. No, he had to find out. Finding out was the entire reason he had improved himself over the last few weeks. To grow stronger, to prepare himself for what was to come. Sooner later, he would face his past.

He seemed to be quite shocked that Kouten hadn’t taught her! Or, surprised even. But she hadn’t minded if her brother had shared with he the secrets of body flicker or not because she knew that he was busy, and he had his own life to live as well as living for the family itself. But, she would plague him when he got home, and tell him that she had been taught it by someone he had taught in the past- Maybe it would give some sense of pride? ”He’s a Chuunin- He wants to become a jounin soon, though.” Surely that would be worth something as far as that goes, right? It simply showed the spring between generations and how they were willing to help each other out. But- Turning to Atlas at the moment, she could but wonder what potential one little body flicker had to offer when you could learn all of these different techniques for it- Just what power could she unlock today in this training session?

We'll start with the retracting body flicker- better known as the Kakezori.

As he’d then speak to her and tell her what she was going to learn, she would but ownder- Retracting.. That meant bringing something back, right? So.. a backwards body flicker? She found it quite strange how you needed all these extra techniques in order to do certain things with body flicker whilst she was only able to perform a small amount- one, even during a fight, lest it tire her out. But, this training gave her a chance to become better- She should probably train some more of the original techniques whilst she was here to make sure that she had a good amount ready for the exams- They were always useful of course, and when you had a plan like she had within her mind, having all of the techniques that she could get was a pretty good thing to allow some leeway if things didn’t happen her way! So, with a happy grin in the way of Atlas, she would look at him, as he and his half-masked face would continue explaining.

So, all she needed to do at the moment was move her position so that she was in the line of somewhere where she could flicker back and forwards and the like without hitting in to anyone, unlike Hirihi ages ago who had accidentally shoved in to her in Kumogakure. Grinning at the memory she’d soon pull herself back from such times- She needed to concentrate on now- Now was where she needed to learn things, and now the exams were on. So, walking around for a few moments before she soon found somewhere quite desirable which had a good area span that would prevent her from knocking in to anyone or anything should she use the technique he was going to teach her, she would then, looking around, double-checking, confirm that this area was fine for her with a:

”I’ve found a place- And, retracting flicker? That sounds pretty interesting. I found it quite strange to hear that body flickers required all different and more complicated techniques in orde for you to do simple things like go side-to-side, and to go backwards..” another pause would happen as she would study his mask for a moment or so. ”.. But it must get more complicated as you go on then, right?” After saying this to the auburn haired shinobi, Areru would grin somewhat as she’d give him a thumbs up, signalling that she was ready to learn the technique that he had in mind of teaching her. Just what did this let her do?!

To hear Kouten had become a full-fledged Chuunin! What good news that was to the Akegarasu, but a bit depressing considering the fact he had yet to achieve the rank. But he was so very close to doing so, here at the exams, in a land many ninja had never tread before. Uplifted by the prospect of achieving his goal so soon, he would decide to teach Areru as much of the body flicker maneuvers that he knew. Since the technique in question had been used by him many times before, he would try to base his explanations off of personal experience as he continued, since the body flicker techniques were hard enough to learn by one's self anyway. He would then begin to wonder, in the back of his mind, how adept the young lass was with this particular set of moves. But it wouldn't matter, since they would start off with some light training first.

He'd stand with a little more pep than before, the effects of his previous technique still tingling through his skin- a vitalizing sensation that seemed to have warmed him up a bit as well. Watching as the Sansutomu heeded his word, and took her place within a clearing to prepare herself for the Kakezori, Atlas would run through the basic of the technique in question through his mind. As in, what exactly established as the rules of the move, how it could be practiced to heighten the chances of success, and things Areru shouldn't do- things he had done himself in the past, when he was but learning this technique with her elder brother. To think he was actually teaching it to the guy's sister now- he found it as equally amusing as he did ironic. But he'd put that aside with a smile.

Areru would call him out soon after- she'd found her starting position, and was curious as to the variations of the body flicker techniques, seemingly studying his mask as she expressed her curiosity. Pleasantly ignoring the stare, he would reply. "There are plenty of variants for the body flicker- and most of them aren't that hard to learn, to be honest. Hey, maybe I can teach you the rest, hm?" He'd beam. "After we get done with this one, of course. You all set?" She'd promptly reply with a huge grin and a big thumbs up, and the temporary sensei would nod affirmatively. "O-kay~! Before we get into the actual body flickering, we need to make sure your body is used to the balance that is required when you make a quick movement backwards. Try hopping backwards first- without tripping on yourself- while steadily activating the chakra in your feet throughout certain intervals. That should help."

To explain that there were many variations of the original body flicker, she was quite interested to learn about what exactly they were so she wasn’t left guessing aimlessly about what they could be. She had a few ideas, but then again he probably knew them all so there wasn’t much point in asking him, guessing, and getting all of them wrong, right? He had just suggested that he teach her the whole set, so she’d be learning more about it later on when the time came. As Atlas then kept speaking, she would take the information in like the good little genin that she was, and would simply hope that she got it right, lest she have to keep trying again, again, and again! She was pretty relaxed when it came to things but needless repeating bored her a bit.

”That would be absolutely great, Atlas.” she would tell him with a grin that almost challenged the size of his own. She did enjoy learning new things and this guy seemed to be very intent on sharing his knowledge, but of course, he got the experience of being a teacher from it, so it probably wasn’t all that bad towards his own self, right? Looking at him for few moments she would smile and nod his head as he asked if she was ready to start or not. Of course she was ready! She was born ready! Looking at the masked man quite keenly she’d await his instructions, almost on edge from merely looking forwards to learning the next step of body flicker.

”So- I just have to.. jump backwards?” With this question asked, one dark eyebrow raised, she’d then guess it would be best to have a go at it, and would then begin to shift her posture a bit so that she was ready to move backwards. Her balance was pretty great for a person her age, so hopefully this factor about herself would be quite beneficial! So, looking to and fro from Atlas to the floor in front of her she would now fully concentrate on hopping back and forth to make sure that she didn’t trip and make a fool out of herself- She needed to act quite serious as this was a real technique that she was training, and failure wasn’t something that she really wanted to experience- Especially before the next round began!

”Alright, I’ll give it a shot!”

So, taking a hop back, back, back, then moving forwards back to where she started, then.. back, back, back again, she’d continue this process and concentrate on what he had to say about the whole chakra element to it- At the moment she was having trouble understanding it quite well but she was sure that after a bit of training and practicing it, she’d be able to get it down quite easily. But- She needed to activate the chakra in her feet like she would with any other body flicker, right? To try and get her to move back quicker with the help of chakra? She sort of got it but right now it wasn’t as clear as she hoped it would be, so pooling chakra in her feet, she would soon hope to reap the effects that it brought on her hopping backwards.
