PERSONOLOGY

Furukawa, Tenyuushinjyo. Furukawa translates to “Old River”, the name coming from the river his clan used to live on. Tenyuushinjyo translates to “Divine Holy Grace”, with Ten’Yuu translating to “Divine Grace” or to “Evening Sky”. - Age

He is from no official clan that had a special series of skills. While his parents had Shinobi training, as did many of his relatives, such things only served to give Ten’Yuu enough skill to match the average Shinobi. - Country/Village

PHYSICALITY[/u]

Ten’Yuu stands at a somewhat average 5’10”. - Weight
Being in the mercenary line of work, Ten’Yuu’s muscles add weight to his rather condensed frame. In general the number never goes below 140lb or above 180lb. - Apparel
Depending on the time of day one may catch Ten’Yuu wearing something profressional or something for his mission. Generally he will wear black pants or cackies when out in public, complete with white loafers and a white, tucked in and button-up shirt. The sleeves are long and, at times, can be caught rolled up to above his elbows. Underneath this shirt, which can be a multitude of colors, is black fishnet, protecting his body from basic assaults to an extent. Almost at all times suspenders are worn, hiding his senbon from public viewing.
Perhaps the only part of Ten’Yuu’s clothing that truly stands out in the sheathed katana he wears at all times. Hanging from his waist in Iaido/Battojutsu format, it is kept in a polished black wood scabbard, attached to the belt by two loops of red rope. The actual weapon itself is generic in all aspects—the hilt is wrapped in red fabric, the pommel is capped in gold and the guard is a gilded rectangle. It is worn on the right hip, seeing as Ten’Yuu is left handed.
During missions, his outfit is vastly different. Ten’Yuu puts his hair into the standard bun and covers his face in the markless mask of the Oinin. Baggy shorts go past his knees and the kimono, sash, wooden geta, pouch and undergarments of his profession are all in order. As intended, he looks like every other Oinin out there when out on the hunt. - Body
Those who have met Ten’Yuu say he is handsome, in a charming and simple sort of way. He is lanky, though underneath his clothes and tan skin is a series of hardened muscle, compacted and strong. Waves of black hair fall back to his shoulders and frame his face, each lock kept in good shape and washed when needed. Many have said that his eyes are piercing, and that each hazel organ appears to look into your soul. Likewise, many have commented that the eyes and very air around Ten’Yuu are dead, making it impossible to really understand much about him. Regardless, most common-folk are ignorant of such things, and do not pick up on the murderous intent that clings to the Oinin. - Scars/Blemishes
Being a mercenary means that the only real way to measure one’s worth is through the multitude of scars they may or may not bear. Ten’Yuu has his share, though nothing serious or outstanding. Above his left eye there is a cut bark at the end of the eyebrow, a result of an amateur mistake when he was younger. Criss-crossing on his lower back are two blade wounds, puckered and lighter than the rest of the skin. They serve as his own personal reminders to never trust someone.

If one were to somehow get close enough to Ten’Yuu to sum him up in a single word, it would have to be “Survival”. He has done everything in his life to ensure that he lives another day, no matter what the cost. This lust for life has caused Ten’Yuu to become quite the cold and logical fellow, often times shelving his emotions and displaying only fake ones when needed. As such, he is constantly seen with a warm and friendly smile, as he knows that people respond better to smiles. At times he will fake sincerity or cruelties to remove an obstacle in his path, and above all he will not hesitate to do something many consider taboo.

Ever since he was born, Ten’Yuu was told that sometimes the only way is the way of death. Along with the death of allies, his moralcode has long since degraded and been slain by the life style of an Oinin. He has absolutely no problem with killing someone, be them an ally or enemy, if he perceives they are in his way to whatever he wants. However this trait is often hidden by the charm he carries around him, and only those that are perceptive can usually notice the killing intent that oftentimes possess his body.
At times Ten’Yuu can be over indulgent as well. Considered to be a high-roller in the Oinin community, he is well known for taking big risk on even the smallest of jobs. This presents him a thrill, one he rarely displays but often time feels. From gambling to fighting to drinking—this Oinin will do it all if it he believes it’ll get him his next big high.
All in all, once could consider Ten’Yuu to be a loose end or rather unpredictable variable when added into a situation. This can make many wary, and many others addicted, to his personality and actions. - Alignment

-Ten’Yuu has a habit of quoting books or poems he’s read in the past to explain his actions. This often makes him sound more confusing than before.
-More than likely, when he isn’t on a mission, Ten’Yuu can be found in a casino or bar, stirring up trouble and drawing attention to himself. Luckily he knows how to get a person drunk, and most people don’t remember him at all afterwards.
-The Oinin is a liar through and through, and he knows this and uses it to his advantage. During fights or if confronted by someone, Ten’Yuu will lie about his skills and history to lure people into a false advantage. He has mastered doing so to such an extent that his silver tongue is amazingly believable.
-Ten’Yuu is an avid reader of philosophy and psychology. He believes that understanding people is the key to surviving in a war-torn world. - Likes & Dislikes

+Reading is something Ten’Yuu loves, and he always has a book on him.
-Dirty people are annoying. He doesn’t like having someone who smells like dog feces talking to him.
+On the up side, incense that smells nice, especially ones monks use for meditation, are bought and collected by the Oinin.
-Working with others is a hassle, and he will never accept a joint mission unless the pay is amazing.
+Stalking people first is always a plus. Learning how his enemies tick not only makes his job easier, but it also lets him categorize people into types. By seeing different kinds of people he can learn how to respond to different kinds of situations—in theory, at least.
-The Shinobi Villages. Being a chaotic neutral to the core, Ten’Yuu despises the thought of people all gathering to do what he can do by himself. Control is the opposite of freedom in his mind, and he’ll do what he needs to do to remain free. Thus, to him, the Villages are the enemies.
+Likewise, the thrill of fighting, gambling, drinking and otherwise living life as a free man gives Ten’Yuu a high unlike no other. Though it oftentimes is hard to notice, it is almost always there, thrumming underneath his cold surface.

Description: As its name implies, the user will suddenly enter barre-roll form, gripping their shins and ankles as they tuck them in, forming a human ball. In this form, chakra is unconsciously powering the roll, making their movement just as fast and graceful as if they were running. Useful for evasion, or when needing to look silly.

Special: Shunpo is much like Shunshin, a forward-moving high-speed technique that transports the user across a short space in the blink of an eye. When used, the user will rush almost instantly to wherever they are facing. The user can Shunpo once per thread, plus once more each time retrained. One cannot attack or perform techniques during Shunpo.
Description: Shunpo, a Taijutsu master's response to the Body Flicker Technique, relies solely on the user's ability to harness their inner ki and gain enough stamina to withstand the sudden strain imposed on one's legs. However, once properly trained, the Taijutsu Type will find their legs moving at speeds unknown to common man, to the point most would make the foolish mistake of assuming one is using Shunshin. However, unlike that chakra inspired run, Shunpo is pure stamina and movement skill, allowing for tighter, quicker, and more reactionary movements essential for someone that relies on movement. Although Shunpo itself moves in a single line, its many variations is what makes it so lethal.

Special: Switch is near-instantaneous. Kawarimi can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. However, the technique itself can only be used once per turn, regardless of retraining. Requires the user to switch with objects equal or smaller in size; cannot switch with other living people or animals.
Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack - i.e. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.

Special: When first learned, the user can spit out up to 5 chakra senbon in a straight manner, shooting twice as fast as a kunai. Re-training this jutsu adds 1 additional needle each time. For every 10 needles the user can make, consumption goes up one rank.
Description: Though basic, Fukumi Hari is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by novice and expert shinobi alike due to its practicality. After briefly and quickly molding chakra to one's mouth, the user is able to call forth chakra needles in order to spit them out at their opponent with great accuracy, as well as with the element of surprise in their favor.
