Youka finds enjoyment in starting a fight or causing drama, but only when it does not involve her. Though she may control the strings, she prefers to sit back and quietly observe how a situation turns out. If it suits her needs and fancy, good; if it does not, she will twist it until it does. No twitch of the eyelash or quirk of the lip goes without some motivation behind it, although her actions may seem frivolous to the ones who are not privy to the inner workings of her mind. She is perfectionism incarnate, stopping only when she is satisfied with an outcome.
Defense, not offense. Bloodshed is a pastime the Etsuko girl relishes, but mysteriously she does not enjoy putting herself in the midst of combat. Likewise, she handles people with the same mindset, always taking care to erect her barriers before speaking to them. No one, not even her brothers, are allowed to reach the inner sanctum that is her heart, much less pierce the veil of her mind. They see only the front she provides: a shy girl with a sweet disposition. By the time someone becomes aware of her true nature it is already too late for them to react. Their usefulness has been drained, the king in check.
The only thing one might say Youka loves are flowers. Ironic, really, as her home is in the desert which has little flora. Instead of planting and tending to a garden, she prefers to paint. It may take hours, days, weeks, before she is satisfied with a piece of work. The same concept can be applied to her jutsu and practice tendencies: the girl simply will not quit until everything is flawless. That may account for her ability to control chakra, and her budding talent as a sensor shinobi.
Sensory jutsu are a deadly weapon on a girl with a mind as twisted as this. If one should ever slight her, she will not show any outward anger. No, the rage will be tucked away for later use, a trap sprung when least expected. She can hold a grudge for a long time, feeling no remorse for the more sinful aspects of her personality as she plots their eventual downfall. After all, revenge is a dish best served cold.
--Guise--
To say Youka looks nothing like her immediate family would be an understatement. Where her brothers sport dark, muted locks, she is well known for her long, carnation-pink hair. There has been speculation that the color is not her original, but if that is the truth, she certainly is not telling. The preferred style is a layered fringe around her face, choppy bangs often falling to obscure crystalline blue eyes. A nuisance more than a fashion statement, to be sure.
The only proper description for Youka's skin would be "pale, smooth, and flawless." Although stereotypical, the lack of pigment is rather uncommon in Sunagakure, where the sun shines hot upon the sand. She never seems to tan, no matter how long she remains outside. Her perfection is also only accountable for the portion of bare skin that she tends to show. In fact, a rather large scar extends from the upper left of her navel and cuts across to the lower right, a self-inflicted kunai wound from her youth. She has not ever revealed what its meaning was. Considering her personality and lack of suicidal thoughts, it is only fair to assume there is more to it than carelessness.
Clothing? An infernal topic to start on. No sensible person wears the same outfit day after day; Youka would only do so during a mission or when her plans otherwise called for it. She can be seen in various forms of dresses, showing more or less skin depending on her mood and the weather. When traversing out into the main part of Sunagakure no Sato, Youka prefers to don a heavy hooded cloak to mask herself from.. what? The populous, the sun--all good assumptions. Regardless of the situation she tends to wear flat shoes and very few accessories, unless one counts the various kunai and shuriken kept on her person at all times.

A shuriken, like kunai, is one of the more basic weapons employed by ninja of all classes. They are sharpened, four-pronged metal stars, no more than a few inches long, and are extremely useful for throwing. Although small, they can be used to distract, or, if accurate enough, to kill. They have an open circle in the center, used for grabbing with a finger, to avoid cutting oneself, or to put thread through. The circle is also a benefit in aerodynamics, as it ensures more accurate trajectories.[/ul]
