Freiræðumaður [Free Speakers][/u]
Type: Ísbirnirpansér [Snowbear Warriors]
History: The Freiræðumaður family have always been warriors, trained to live up to the title from their birth. This status as protectors has always been upheld by the Vitringannna , the Nine Sages, masters of craftsmanship. It is fabled that long ago, the Samurai made a pact long ago with the Vitringanna . Their home had been decimated, leaving nothing more than colossal oceans.
The Samurai, with their gifted ability to utilize raw chakra, taught the Vitringanna how to mold and control chakra. Taken to a dangerous, grand mountain deep within the Land of Iron, the Nine Sages eagerly took to the heart of the mountain. After many years of learning to mold and control the final result of their chakra, the Vitringanna created a smaller scale of their home country, creating a beautiful landscape of everlasting snow and ice. From this knowledge the structure upon which the Freiræðumaður now reside was birthed. This complex structure was composed of special, chakra-drenched snow taking the shape of giant fir trees.
The Vitringanna , in all their wisdom, decided to "take to the skies" for safety like their Black and Brown cousins, and so they did, residing in trees of snow and ice. With their home rebuilt, at least in the memories of the Vitringanna, they wished to repay the kind Samurai who offered their land. So, the Vitringanna taught the Samurai their craft, that of creating incredible weaponry and armor. The Samurai already had wonderful weapons, and armor which guarded them from the elements, but some believe that what the Vitringanna gifted the Samurai is fable. The Nine Sages wore an armor said to be relics of their ancestors, Stelpa Fallegsdattir & Jónas Faðirsálsson.
It was between human and Snowbear that the first perfect armor was made. The ancestors called it Himnarikiárni, Iron from the Heavens. It was believed that if a Ísbirnir poured their chakra, at that time long ago referred to as the soul, into their armor then the soul itself would protect the wearer from harm. It was this concept, of coating weapons in chakra, that many believed the Nine Sages gave the Samurai. While many believe the secret of the Samurai's incredible chakra powers came from a ancient scroll found in the Land of Iron, numerous others believe it is the remnants of the first meeting between the Nine Sages and the Samurai. Regardless of where it came from, the Samurai came into possession of armor only they could wear (rumored to be adapted from the Nine Sages' Himnarikiárni) and weapons which could unleash the purest form of chakra.
Due to this bond being formed between Samurai and Snowbear, those from the Land of Iron have been given a special secret: the location of the Nine Sages and their city of snow hidden in a valley deep within a treacherous mountain. In return for the Snowbears' secrecy, the Nine Sages would provide their master craftsmanship, and later many children to assist the Samurai. [to be continued later]
Special: Only Samurai know the absolute location of the Freiræðumaður's home, deep within a mountain in the Land of Iron. To begin a search, one must first go through a three step (multiple posts is implied) process.
General Appearance: The Freiræðumaður family have always been a family of nobility in the Shinobi world. An Ísbirnir [Snowbear] born into this family is automatically declared a pansér, a warrior. As with most bears of the North, the Freiræðumaður are as pure white as the snow from which they were believed to have risen from. The bears of this family have a unique blue tinge to their fur, as if their bodies are rippling water reflecting the light. [/font]

Special: Only Samurai know the absolute location of the Freiræðumaður's home, deep within a mountain in the Land of Iron. To begin a search, one must first go through a three step (multiple posts is implied) process.
- First the player must learn of the Freiræðumaður family from a GM. The user can request how to go about this (mission or whatever the like), but the GM must play a Samurai. This is due to the fact that only the Samurai know the true location of the family's home.
- Secondly the player will begin the two part-search for the Freiræðumaður. First the player must search for Bolvanger [Field of Evil Dreams], a grand mountain deep within the Land of Iron. This is like searching for a village, though the ease of finding the mountain is up to the GM.
- Thirdly, after finding the mountain, the player will begin to search for the city in which the Freiræðumaður reside. This is much similar to finding the mountain, however the player will need to spend at least 1 Week IC searching for the hidden city. Upon entering the bears' hidden city, Svalbard [Hidden Valley of Snow], the player will be taken the the Vitringanna [Nine Sages]. The GM will then have the player take on 9 tasks of varying difficulty and choice (one for each Sage). Upon the completion of these tasks, the player will be able to sign a contract with the family.
