It hadn't rained lately it seemed. Not that it bothered the small black-haired girl, her lavender eyes scanning the surrounding countryside for any sign of movement. There was none. Not yet at least. She was on edge... which was very unusual for her. Usually she was busy worrying about other things than combat but... something wasn't right here. She felt as if something was about to go horribly wrong... She had been asked by an anonymous letter to arrive here at noon. In this small forest clearing, she was prepared for anything. She was a shinobi after all, despite her rather timid personality. She once again glanced at the surroundings, taking in the overpowering sensation of green that pervaded the tranquil clearing. The trees around her were all oak. Huge, massive structures they were. Magnificent creations of nature. The clearing itself, boring. A field of grass, tall enough in some places for her to hide if needed. She would have to keep that in mind. The only defining thing in the middle of the clearing was a large boulder, tall as it was wide and probably just as heavy. It's height exactly... probably about a head above Mio herself. It looked like it wasn't meant to be here, as if it was placed here purposely long ago and had since lost its function. And there she waited for her opponent, very much ready for anything that could possibly come her way... Except for what did... A challenge...

For quite some time Leika had been wonder which of Konoha's ocular jutsu were the superior, however she could never reach a fair conclusion. So what better way she thought than to issue a challenge, but she wouldn't just challenge anyone, shed challenger a Hyuuga from the main house.

Action!

Leika kept a low profile, her vermilion eyes glowing from behind the thick of the tall grass. For any normal shinobi their sight may have been hindered, but for Leika the first tomoe rested within her bloodshot eyes and the truth behind the world was getting conceivable each day. 'I'll test her first, just to see how good she is.' Reaching subtly her hand grabbed onto the giant fuuma shuriken, in the same motion shinobi wire was tied to it. Just how trained were the eyes of an hyuuga?

Orraa!

Leika's eyes glowed as she hurled it without warning at the innocent Hyuuga. In the motion it was thrown Leika had secretly tagged a paper bomb to it. The fuuma shuriken would wail as it cut through the air aimed expertly at the girl.

She'd be in a standing position now her body laxed, an a wry smile curling her lips. She wore a red scarf around her neck, a plain all black short sleeve tee-shirt baring the Uchiha clan insignia on the backside right under the neck part. Gray, dull pants fell down to her ankles, showing her legs off. She wore the shinobi sandals and upon her hands black gloves. Her headband was worn on her left shoulder.

The tall grass had provided an adequate hiding spot for the assailant that had sent the letter. And from the Shuriken used and the wires attached to it, highly visible from the reflections of the sun, this was most likely an Uchiha. A rather over-zealous one at that. The shuriken sped towards her, splitting through the air. She had to think fast, and think of the best possible way to get around this. No, no time for that. Better take the easy way out. "Kawarimi no Jutsu" A loud chunking noise echoed through the clearing as the shuriken dug straight into the wood log, an explosion following a few seconds later, much to Mio's surprise. An explosive tag? Good thing she used the Replacement Technique then, otherwise she'd be a charred corpse in the middle of the field. If this shinobi uses a lot of Exploding tags, the best course of action would probably try and get close to them from a hiding spot or otherwise without letting them see. A Bunshin illusion could work... but if this really was an Uchiha she was facing, they'd see straight through it. Not to mention she had no idea where they were. Oh... that's right, her Byakugan. She could use that to determine the location of her opponent. She whispered to herself, "Byakugan" Her pupils expanded and become much more pronounced, with her iris' tightening and become much more focused. Veins began to pop out around her eye sockets and round the side of her face. The Hyuuga clan's heritage. The Byakugan. She focused for a second, looking around for the Uchiha, seeing the shape of a young girl, about the same age and build as herself hidden within the grass. Chakra was agitated and compressed in this girl's eyes, signalling that this really was someone using a Doujutsu. An Uchiha. She was simply acting upon instinct now, drawing a kunai and exploding tag from her pouch and attaching them to each other. She threw the kunai towards the girl, the exploding tag meant to be only a distraction as Mio started to move away from her area, around the edge of the tree line towards where the Uchiha was. Hyuuga vs Uchiha, who would be the winner in this battle of the ages? Let us find out... Byakugan (All Seeing White Eye)
Special: When first unlocked, the Hyuuga may see up to 50 meters 359 degrees all around them.
Description: As its name implies, the Byakugan is just that, a featureless white eye that can occasioanlly posses hints of blue-gray and lavender, respectively. When the Byakugan is activated, the user's pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge, representing the sudden chakra activation that makes the doujutsu possible. All members of the clan possess and can use the kekkei genkai from birth, as opposed to needing to awaken it. Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. With this vision, the Hyuuga can see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person, and can be improved. Finally, one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow as well as the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style - the Gentle Fist.

"A substitution?"

Leika half smiled as she kept her low profile hiding amongst the tall grass, but even she knew of the Hyuga's eyes. She'd be found soon. Her suspicions were right as her immature eyes saw movement, what was next? Leika quickly reached behind her spinning a kunai around her finger she''d throw it at the kunai flying towards her.

The two would meet and collide fly off the course of their targets. This Hyuuga would have to do much better as Leika had already a good idea of what was happening. She'd stand running in the direction around the perimeter as the girl, her hands dancing as she would finish the seals for a jutsu.

"Katon: Haisekishou no jutsu!"

Leika expelled a large cloud of ash that expanded in a large area where the girl was. Quickly Leika would jump back her feet sliding against the terrain as she clicked her teeth hopefully ensnaring the girl in a fiery napalm attack.
