The shinobi quietly gazed at the pinkish red shinobi seated across from her. she looked more reddish orange than anything right now, due to being dyed by the crimson light of the torch fire at her side. her elderly face was a mask of calm, detached, expression... but her almost fearful voice told another story, "...the Iron Beasts are a rare breed of creature on this country. Towering like the highest and sturdiest iron, these great beasts with hides fashioned from the metals they have consumed scour the lands in search of mineral deposits."
she paused, momentarily, to clear her throat before continuing. "Ahem. ... There are not many of these mineral deposits left. This is why we no longer make our dwellings from ore. Even so ... this village is in fact sitting right on top of a great mineral deposit. Because of this, the remaining Iron Beasts have a great interest in this are and come here to try and feed. Our fighters have been thus far successful in getting rid of the smaller ones but..."
...She sighed, softly, and paused for a moment more as she merely continued to stare at her impassively from across the room. The sound of the torchlight licking at the air and the dull hum of something outside the temple were all of the sounds that could be heard in the space of those few moments. "...this time, a much larger beast than we have EVER seen has arrived. We suspected that they could only grow to a certain size due to a lack of mineral deposits but..."
"...but this one has probably found a nice watering hole that probably ran dry recently", she finished her sentence for her.
