“Rukei get your ass up! You know you’ve got an early morning mission today!”

The sound of the boy’s mothers voice would echo from the outside into his voice, Rukei would snap right of his sleep into a seated position. ‘daggit.’ The boy thought to himself as he looked out of the window, ‘the suns not even up yet.’ He thought to himself as he dragged his self to the side of the bed. ‘Well I guess I gotta start early.’ He thought to himself as he sat their looking at his feet for a moment, he was in sort of a trans for moment.  

“I hope you’re not sitting their looking stupid Rukei, or I’ll have your father come and get you up!” 

Kanari voice snapped the boy right out of his trans, he knew he didn’t want to have to deal with his dad so early in the morning so he got up out the bed to get ready. Rukei stepped over to the mirror for a second while he still had his PJ’s on, he would look in the mirror for a second before ruffling his hair up a bit, ‘ahh that looks good.’ He thought as he had got it to it’s normal style. Once that was done he quickly began to grab his clothing to get ready, he pulled out a red shirt with his clans emblem on the front with a pair of his black pants. ‘Perfect.’ he thought to himself as he quickly threw on the clothes, once he was fully clothed the boy stepped in front of the mirror once more checking himself out. ‘Ahh yeah.’ He would quickly start to look for his shoes around his room, once he found them he slipped them on just before his mother came bursting through the door.

“Didn't I-- Oh that’s what I thought. The mail is down stairs, don’t forgot to wear your jacket Rukei. Taka is still resting up he said he’s not ready to start doing missions yet so he’s still working with your father ok?”

Rukei would nod to his mom as he found his shoes, Kanari would make her exit from the room while Rukei put on his shoes. The Uchiha would begin to tie them up while he looked in the mirror smiling at his on reflection, ’Lets see how fast I can get this done.’ Rukei thought as he stood up  and looked over his outfit. After his final check the Genin was on his way out the door, he quickly grabbed his  jacket throwing it over his shoulders heading down stairs to the front door.

“Bye mom, I’ll see ya later dad!”

He’d say as he grabbed the bag of mail before he left out the door, Rukei would take off running into the village full speed. ’Suns just barely up in the air.’ Rukei thought as he sped out the gates at the front of his home, the Uchiha would begin to reach into the bag of mail pulling the first envelope from his bag. ’1424 grasslane’ he read on the paper, ’I know where that’s at I’ll take to the roof first.’ He thought as he slid the mail into his own bag, once the Genin spotted the a building he could get to the top of he would quickly jet up the side of the building. 

Now it shouldn’t be too far north from here he thought to himself as he reached the top of the building. Rukei would put a bit more pep in his step as he ran, he kept a watchful eye on each street sign he passed making sure he didn’t pass up the street he was looking for. He traveled about 15 minutes more before he spotted grasslane, he would jump from the top of the building landing on the ground in a crouching position. 

“I think it’s that way.”

Rukei said as he looked down the street, he would take off running down the street looking at each address. ’Gotcha.’ Rukei grabbed the letter from his bag as he made his way into the peoples small yard, he made sure to keep a very light foot as he walked into the peoples yard. He wasn’t sure if the people knew about him being assigned as the mailman and didn’t want to be mistaken as criminal. Once he arrived at the front door the Uchiha would place the envelope into their mailbox.

“Now let me see if I have anymore grasslane mail.”

He thought to himself as he turned away from the door shuffling through his bag a bit, ’Yup let me knock these out right now.”

“I’m beat!”

Rukei said as he walked into the kitchen after the noon rush was coming to it’s end, old lady Obachan was still cooking up more of her famous soup as their was one more group left to serve. Rukei looked to Lady Obachan with a tired look on his face as he grabbed his pin and pad off the counter once more, Rukei made his way out onto the floor. He walked with a rather sluggish demeanor compared to the one he had presented for the past couple of hours, he was dragging his feet seemingly and old lady Obachan was watching. She picked up her other spoon while watching Rukei drag his feet across the room, unknowingly the boy continued his sluggish performance pulling his pad out. 

“Yeah so, what do you want to eat?”

He asked the group of three guys as they were looking through their menus, Rukei would begin to draw a sketch on his pad while he waited for the men to come up with their order. The sketch had been a picture of old lady Obachan with an enlarged head and such, Rukei would begin to laugh a bit before one of the men snapped their fingers a couple of times. 

“Ay kid we’re ready to order.”

Rukei quickly snapped his attention back to the small group of men, he would flip the page once as he gave them his attention.

“Alright we’ll have a couple glasses of orange juice with  the house special on mushroom soup.”

Rukei quickly noted it down before heading back to the kitchen, as he walked back to the kitchen he noticed lady Obachan crazy glare from a distance. Rukei would hastate a bit as he had remembered what she had said before he started working, ‘Oh snaps.’ The young boy thought to himself as his walk turned to a creep as he made his way to the kitchen, but little did he know Obachan was ready for him when he came back into the kitchen. She was prepared for her attack 20 spoon strokes to the back of his head, the older woman would raise her spoon and soon as he was completely into the kitchen she began to wail on him with the spoon. 

would trying to hold back his cry of pain as the woman repetitively crashed the spoon to the back of his head, he would put his hands back their for only a moment as she popped those a couple of times. Once she was done she stepped back from looking down upon him with the evilest glare she could possibly give him. Rukei looked up to the lady presenting her with a slight smile as he knew he had messed up, he placed his hands on the back of his head rubbing it around a bit while he smiled at her.

“Now you gotta wash dishes! And when you’re done then you’re dismissed Rukei… I told you know slouching on the job! I’ll serve the last customs of the afternoon….. But you did a great job other than your slip up at the end, I’ll be glad to have you working for me anytime.”

“Ok, I’ll handle this Old Lady Obachan.”

He said as he turned to the sink to see the mountain of dishes left from all of the customers he served earlier, Rukei took off the shirt that the Obachan had giving him and got to work. Rukei was actually kind of relieved  to be doing the dishes, he figured his appearance after Obachan had wailed on him wasn’t to presenting. He’d smile while he go his wash on  dish by dish, made sure to wash every little crumb off’em. 

-This goes on for at least an hour more. 

Once the boy was finished with all the dishes Obachan had already started cleaning up the rest of the shop, Rukei stepped down from the stool he was standing on to wash the dishes. ’Phew that was hard work, I feel like I lost a couple of pounds doing that.’ He thought to himself as he looked around for his shirt, once he found he threw it over his sliding onto his body. Once he had his shirt on he made located his jacket before stepping out the kitchen to find old lady Obachan. 

“Alright Old Lady Obachan, I’ll come back another day to help you out. I’m gonna go report into the atrium now.”

He would say as he ducked back into the kitchen for a moment to grab his coat, once he had it he would make his way towards the door.

“Now you have a goodnight, I’ll tell your mom how well you did today.”

She would say as Rukei was leaving the shop, 

“I didn’t know she knew mom.”

Rukei said to himself as he reviewed his mission slip while he made his way out of atrium. Shortly after the Uchiha would twirl the papers around in his fingers a bit before stuffing it into his tool bag. ‘I guess I better put some pep in my step since it’s almost lunch time.’ Rukei thought to himself as he took off to the races headed towards town square, though the Shinobi would quickly notice that the streets were becoming pretty congested with the afternoon rush evident. ‘new route?’ he thought to himself as he spotted the nearest building to him, his sky blue eyes would widen quite a bit as he changed directions a bit scaling the side of the building he had just located. 

He said to himself as he left a small trail of dust behind him as bolted up the side of the building, quickly arriving at the top of the building Rukei would jet forward in the direction of town square. ‘The village has been doing so good lately. ‘As he noticed how much the city had been changing since he was a young boy, it had appeared to be quite a few more buildings along with some places being renovated. As the Uchiha jumped from building to building his eyes wondered from left to right as he looked for the shack that was described in his mission slip, ‘it said it shouldn’t be hard to tell which one is old lady Obachan place.’ His eyes wondered and wondered until he finally reached town square, the young shinobi would hurdled from the building top landing a semi crouching position near the entrance of time square. Standing up the boy would look for the place with the most business, and of course it was Old lady Obachan’s place.

Rukei said to himself as he took of towards the crowd that had seemed to be overflowing out of the shop, as he arrived at the back of the line the small boy had begin to push his way through the crowd that was out front of the building. ‘Too many dang people.’ He thought to himself as he plowed through the people finally reaching the entrance to the building. Bursting through the crowd Rukei jumped up in the middle of the severing area.  

As the boy’s voice hit the ears of an older lady in the kitchen she made he way out of their, she crept up behind the young Shinobi using her old technique. And with her spoon hit him across the back of the head, before pulling him by the ear. 

All the while she was talking was pulling the young boy into the kitchen, once they arrived she released Rukei’s ear as she turned away from him to look for something. Rukei would start to rub his ear a bit because it was stinging from the older lady’s vice grip on it. ’Stupid old lady, she’s lucky she’s old.’ He thought to himself as he continued to wait for her to address him. The pain in his ear started to die down a bit as the older woman turned back to him with an all white color shirt and a waiters apron, Rukei would place his hands on the back of his head an tilted it back a little looking at the older woman with a smug look on his face.

He said as he grinned a bit, but too bad for him the lady hadn’t planned on playing any games at the moment as she quickly grabbed her spoon again. And as she did Rukei took a few steps back putting his hands out in front of him,
