It was the truth, I had to show her. Even though I knew it would only serve to break her even more, she needed to see it-- she needed to see just how much Kouketsu had altered her in such a small time period. There was not any other way to go about it, and as her friend - as someone that almost felt slightly responsible for all this - I had to be the one to break it to her.
But it all made sense now; her rather sudden stoic demeanor, her lackadaisical attitude, even her rather gargantuan pool of chakra that resided within her core - she was siphoning it. She was addicted, from what I could gather, and we all know who was to blame for this as well? Tch.
"Don't apologize to me, Blanche. You are the Kusakage now, its your responsibility - your duty - to be strong for your village. This right here?" I shot her a glance, allowing the grip she had on my hand to help lift her from the ground. "This is not you. If anyone has the will power to beat this, it's you. Don't let it consume you like I let my anger consume me."
Even with my words, I knew it was far more difficult than I made it out to be. Instead of allowing her to continue agonizing over her hunger, I allowed my eyes to once again catch her gaze. Once connected, she'd feel nothing; all she would see was the pupils in my eyes dancing upon their axises, and then the sudden uncontrollable pull towards unconsciousness. It was sudden, quick, and unstoppable - she'd be out cold before she even realized what was occurring.timeskip: a couple hours.
We were at her home now, deep below the earth's surface in her underground compound. Finding this place was a difficult task in itself, for it was well hidden and designed to keep people out; however, being that I had already been here once, locating it again did not take too long. A couple hours had already passed since I had made it here, and Blanche, still asleep, was situated within her bed.
I was perched directly behind her, sitting along a piece of the wall that shot out slightly from the side. It was an uncomfortable position, but I remained there willingly, twirling a simple kunai knife between my two digits.
