The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
Breathing slowly and frequently enough to ease the pain -even if by a small margin- he listened to the man that stood above him once he recognized him through his father's image. He heard the shuffling movements of medics rushing to his position as he did more than consider taking the man up on his offer regarding the eyes gifted to him by his mother. Sapped of strenght due to the pain, he merely nodded as the medical staff tended to his wounds.
Miscalculation. Everyone had them, everyone experience them both inside and out of combat, the trick had been to merely reduce the mount one made, and in Ji's case, he made one too many. In the midst of his oblique movement (and landing) both waves of bullets peppered his chest and dug deep into his flesh. Although his still drew air into his lungs, he received severe amounts of damage.
His body hit the ground and sprawled out like a child creating a snow angel - go figure. Regardless, he knew it'd been over, and with that in mind, he 'tapped', physically signaling his forfeit. He fought long and hard, and came closer to victory than ever before, and that alone, had been enough to satisfy him, just for that moment.
"I came all this way, made it this far. Guess I didn't do too bad huh? Well, there is always next time. "
While remaining stationary made his opponents aim that much more easier and acturate, it also made Ji's focus upon his opponent more concentrated than it'd have ever been. In doing so (coupled with his sharingan), he easily recognized the same movements as before, and the extension of his fingers - they were coming, the bullets, all of them, each one filled with chakra, chakra that Ji undoubtedly saw.
Disengaging his technqiue once more, he used both hands and feet and pushed against the ground with a more, oblique force, one of which sent him veering off to the side at the last possible momentTier1.
Just barely missing his attack, Ji landed in a single kneed crouch and rose up from his knee thereafter. Standing up-straight, breathing heavily, he faced Akira properly with both brows furrowed in anger and frustration. He knew he'd only been prolonging his defeat, but he refused to forfeit, and instead decided to go all out even when ever existing odd had been stacked against him. Win or lose, that was his moment.
Withdrawing his only ninjato with his left hand, he would've bolted forward directly at Akira, aiming to close the distance between them to a meager 10 meters.
Tier One - Advanced Training, the Body: Having mastered their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan member learns to better incorporate their predictions with actual movements. Synchronizing their evolved sight with more concise and specific movements, the Uchiha clan member achieves a higher state of agility (25% - roughly half that of the first gate). While this doesn't make the Uchiha impossible to hit, they are relatively more agile than your typical shinobi.

Although he moved overly fast, the aid of his Mangekyo Sharingan picked apart his movements little by little, reading and heavily anticipating with acute senses. Around the time Ji managed to advance all but three meters, Akira skillfully began to position himself to Ji's immediate rear.
It wouldn't have made sense for Ji to acknowledge the ground Akira covered and not have acted upon it, so, naturally, he stopped himself and aligned the forefronts of his body with Akira's movements. Continuously (as akira curved), Ji's feet turned in tandem with his body and eyes, tracking and reading to find find the perfect opportunity.
As his hand signatures completed, so did the chakra the fueled Susano'o, leaving Ji unprotected with a set of seals actually completed as he previously planned. Although he generated more chaka than he initially wanted to, he decided to stick to what he knew best. As fast as possible, he dipped into a low crouch and pressed against the earth before spreading his chakra throughout its surface.
Immediately, on cue, the surrounding area (10 diameter) -which had been nothing but rock, stone, and earth- twisted and churned vehemently, bringing every rock (roughly the size of a human & smaller) from every possible direction onto his position in a whirl pool like manner, even from below. The abrupt forces that pulsated through the ground would've likely caused some loss of balance (presuming the rocks hadn't crushed him).
Instead of perfectly pinpointing his exact location, the area affected had been targeted in a way where it'd been cast ahead of Akira, timed it so that he stepped into the area's center the moment it sprung into action. No more than a second after the techniques activation had Ji visually maintained Akira's position and would've zoomed through a secondary set of hand signatures, knowing that regardless if it connected or not, Akira was occupied.

Retsudo Tenshou (Revolving Split Earth Palm)
[/u] Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: Mid x2
Retsudo Tenshou is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing the required handseals, the user slams their palms into the ground. The surrounding rock will begin to churn in whirlpool-like manner beneath an opponent, twisting and turning to crush all those trapped within it.
Note: Can only be performed in an area with natural earth and rock. The user can control how large the whirlpool's dimensions are, so long as they do not exceed a 5 meter diameter.
Akira's speed turned out to be more than admirably considering how easily he sidestepped the incoming uppercut dished out by Ji's own Susano'o. Once his evasion proved to be successful, he decided to approach with a more rotund direction, namely curving around towards Ji's side, however, he needed to control the tempo of the battle. Unfortunately, he kenw that such a feat wouldn't have been easy whatsoever. Regardless, realizing that even his Susano'o attacks weren't within striking range as Akira moved along the edge of the street, upon Ji's command it came to a more relaxed state as Ji himself turned to immediate side (towards Akira) and bolted forward with a speedy gait.
Running along a straightforward path, he aimed to intercept Akira's circular movement in tandem with safely performing a set of handseals beneath Susano'o's protection. He knew that otherwise, the man moved more than 'too fast' to simply string together a series of hand signatures as well as perform whatever technique that'd been used. With his speed (albeit slower) controlled and solid, the distance between them would've shrank considerably, leaving Ji roughly 7m from his opponent
"Tch! Don't mock me!!!"
Susano'o -moving in tandem with its caster- kept its arms loose and at the ready, hungry to strike or grab the Ji's overly agile opponent.
It'd all been too close, namely by a razor thin marginT1. As Ji's hands slammed against the ground just a second before he facilitated his chakra through the ground, he noticed something had been coming at him and fast. His eyes widened not in surprise, but in pure, unbridled fear, however, once they had they transformed into something else, something far superior than any normal eye. At the last possible second, just inches away from his body, it'd been instantly warped (entire torso & head) into a dimension that only he himself had access to. As a result, each bullet passed through his body as if it hadn't even been there to begin with, including the tagged kunai that was once within his mouth.
The second wave of projectiles passed through thereafter, and the moment they had, Ji's body 'solidified' while his hand moved up & forward a few inches to properly catch the fallen kunai like a drop of saliva that escaped his parted lips. Noticing that his opponent, who would've killed him had it not been for the power of his Mangekyo Sharingan, he had to take desperate measures, measures that would ultimately keep him alive. Acknowledging that the opponent attacked and moved too fast to weave even a measly three hand signatures, Ji knew that it significantly limited his number of options in terms of approaching the given fight.
He truly had no other choice.
Taking the offensive, Ji would've pushed against the ground from his crouched position (which strengthened the launch) and bolted forward whilst digging deep into his wellspring of chakra. Immediately, his body had been encased by a film of black chakra, one that surrounded him and rose above him at a maximum of 20 meters, just shy of the smallest bijuu.
No more than a second later had the humanoid being, the guarding of Ji, lunged forward with its right hand, using a scooping uppercut -to the point where the knuckles grinded against the earth- headed straight towards his frontal position. Meanwhile, its respective hand would've raised up and remained ready to strike. The attack had been fast, for sure, but definitely not unavoidable.
Susano’o (God of the Sea and Storms) Rank: S Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Supplementary. Handseals: - Chakra Consumption: Massive to cast, High per turn to sustain
Susano’o, also known as the Tempestuous God of Valor, is the third ability granted by the Mangekyou Sharingan after awakening the abilities in both eyes. It creates a gigantic, humanoid being that surrounds the user. As the strongest technique granted to those that have acquired the Mangekyou Sharingan, it is the user's guardian deity, but at the same time, it consumes the user's life
For a Sharingan user to activate the Susano’o is a rarity. Like the other techniques granted by the Mangekyou Sharingan, the user's eyes and body are strained while using Susano’o because it consumes a large amount of their chakra. Susano’o is formed through the materialization of the user's chakra and as such differs in appearance as well as color between users.
Despite Susanoo's impressive defensive capabilities, the protection it grants its user is not absolute. Even though it envelopes and anchors the user, the user can be thrown out of the upper half of Susano’o by manipulating the substance under their feet. Also, a sufficiently strong blow will still result in damage, especially during the technique's developmental stages. The only known ways to attack the user while Susano’o is active, is either to draw the wielder out of the technique and then attack, bind and restrict its movements, or to break the defense with overwhelming force (generally numerous, 5+, gates of direct power).
Note: At both the Genin and Chuunin rank, Susano'o takes three full turns to completely manifest, and each "phase" of the technique boasts its own offensive and defensive properties. At the rank of Jounin, the user has the option of summoning "phases" or the complete form of Susano'o at will.
Phase One: A partial summoning can be achieved one just the first turn. At this juncture the user can manifest either portions or the entire skeletal structure of Susano'o, but none of its weapons. This stage has significant openings in its defense, largely protecting the core, leaving gaps along the extremities.
Phase Two: By the second turn, the user is capable of bringing out the muscled form of Susano'o. During this stage the user is significantly encompassed by the armor and can manifest the summon's weapons. This stage, while entirely covered by the armor, has fewer defenses than the final form Susano'o.
Phase Three: By the third turn the Susanoo can be fully manifested in its armored form. At this stage the user is completely enshrouded by the armor and gains full benefit from its impressive defense as well as manifesting its weapons. This stage is arguably the strongest incarnation of the Susano'o forms. It at this point that the massive worth of chakra is drained, and the High cost to sustain it kicks into effect.
It goes without saying that the offensive and defensive capabilities of this technique are utterly astounding. Even the phase one of this technique was capable of dampening the damage from Kirin (one of the most destructive abilities in the Naruto universe) so that its user could survive (albeit still injured). Likewise, the sheer might of this technique can seemingly penetrate a wide variety of potent barriers as well.
Kamui (God's Majesty) Rank: S Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Supplementary. Chakra Consumption: x2 High.
Kamui, named for God's Majesty, is a Ninjutsu technique which uses the Mangekyou Sharingan eye to generate an imploding transportation vortex. After producing the Mangekyou eye, focuses on an area of his target. The surrounding area will then warp and collapse in on itself, quickly reducing the surrounding area to nothingness. The technique will transport the focused area away to another location or dimension of the user's choosing. From small projectile to whole locations, as long as the user focuses their eye on it, they can cause its teleporation. Although causing heavy strain on the user, it is said to be unavoidable due to its delivery.
Note: This unique ability can be separated into two entirely different phases: teleportation and intangibility. Likewise, it can be performed with or without the Mangekyou Sharingan activated.
Teleportation: This phase of the Kamui ability allows the user to warp objects in and out of an entirely different dimension. Despite the power of this ability, there is a maximum size and number to the objects that a user can transport (in and out) at any single moment. The size cannot be more than x10 the size of your average human body, and no more than five objects at once. It should be noted that Kamui is capable of teleporting nearly anything caught in its path, from entirely ethereal constructs (such as Rasengan) to corporeal items (weapons, bodies, etc); however, the user must be able to see the object in question. Once inside the alternative dimension, there is no method of escaping unless the user wishes to release you. This takes one full post to complete, and if the victim moves from designated location, will need to be recast (the chakra cost will still take effect).
Intangibility: Considered to be the close quarters version of the ability, or self-inflicted, this allows the user to turn the transporting capability of Kamui on themselves. This allows the user to instantly, at their will, teleport a specific portion (up to their entire body) into the alternative dimension linked to this dojutsu. Generally being overlapped by the incoming object in question, this allows the user to appear "intangible," as if the attack is simply slipping through them. Sustaining the usage of this technique per turn requires an increment of one High worth of chakra.
Using the teleportation aspect of Kamui (external) has its drawback, though. You can only teleport objects in or out in a single post; this means you can't teleport something into the alternative dimension and out of it in the same post. Furthermore, you cannot use the teleportation and intangibility aspect of Kamui simultaneously. Beyond that, only teleporting objects into the alternative dimension causes the wear and tear associated with the Mangekyou eye (i.e uses a "charge"). Using the "intangibility" aspect does not.
As the girl spoke and ushered Ji to her side, he cooperated without question and made his way over to her side quickly. Standing next to her, his head leaned in to see the paint that'd been splattered across the palm of her open hand. It seemed that whatever she painted, it sprung to life thereafter, perhaps a technique, or maybe just long lost magic that the world fancied to be fake? Regardless, as she drew the final pair of lips and it popped up and out of her hand, it spoke to him with a voice that still freshly burned within the forefronts of his mind, the voice of the old, pale man.
Connecting the dots from what he said, Ji managed to pass his initial test of adaption and moved on to the next round so to speak - riddles. While he hadn't been too familiar with riddles, he heard his fair share during the time he spent growing up with Namyeol's family as well as his own mother. Nodding to show his willingness to continue, he listened to the entire riddle. Once he had he knew his circle of suspects were small, considering his social life hadn't even had a chance to crawl since he left Mount Youbin and headed for Amegakure to be his fathers successor.
"My, my father?! He's the only person I know that has been constantly thrown into war therefore witnessing it. Death and pain -according to my mom and Namyeol- he knew that well as well. His masters did chance, from some guy named Faust, to Kouketsu, and then Shiji, a sage Namyeol spoke highly of but died a long time ago. . ."
"He gave men, hope, at least every man from Amegakure, including myself, and my mother. Reach the stars? Hmm"
Quizzically, he folded his arms and tapped his foot as he paused.
"He reached Amegakure and managed to set it free, but died doing so, he never came close to seeing its rebirth. Your name is Masuyo Kekkai. If it isn't my father then I don't know who it could possibly be, I don't even know that many people. So, is it really him?!"
And so it began with the movement of Ji's opponent. He bolted forward and moved faster than any opponent he'd ever faced - impressive. While he moved with a speedy gait, Ji still had more than enough time to plan, perform, and execute what he had in mind. He knew that this fight, tournament or not, would've been his most pressing and challenging thus far, meaning he refused to go out as easily as the others, nay, he wanted to fight and even proved himself even in defeat. That opponent, he waited for someone that strong to face so that he could've seized his chance to test his training.
Without wasting a single moment, he lodged the Kunai (whose tag was wrapped around its hilt) between his teeth while his hands merged together and formed a series of hand signatures that heralded the beginning of his performance. Facilitating his chakra through the earth -prior to slamming his palms against the ground- it, upon completion, faltered and shook as a five meter wide wall (roughly 2m thick) sprung up from the ground just beneath Ji himself. It continued to rise until its apex (where Ji stood in the middle of it) breached the 5 meter mark in height, leaving him at an elevated position against his advancing opponent. By now, it'd been safe to say that the overly large man crossed his 15 meter threshold, and truth be told, Ji wanted him come closer.
Presuming his actions carried out as intended, his hand merged together once more and danced through the constellations, preparing for the monster of a man that approached him physically and visually.
[/u] Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defensive Handseals: 3 Chakra Consumption: Mid
Doro Gaeshi is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a set of handseals, the user strikes the ground with their hands, sending a pulse of chakra into it. A wall of earth will rise in front of them to serve as a defense, although it is not perfect.
Note: Doro Gaeshi can defend against techniques C rank and below; any attack above that will destroy it, breaking through. The wall is large enough to conceal the user.
