It seemed that my intuition had been correct- That he was tired, although I was sure that it was something that he could handle- Surely? Although I had never seen him this tired before I had faith in him not to end up falling asleep during his work or just spontaneously doing so- Myself? I was tired most of the time but I had come accustom to it- Of course you don’t really get used to it but since it was average for me it wasn’t all that suprising to the people that knew me- It was strange, almost different the way he was acting, but I couldn’t exactly place my finger on it. Choosing to let it be rather than perhaps wind him up, I’d nod my head once at what he had to say and keep cleaning the dishes, placing the items one by one on the draining board to make sure that they could dry correctly before placing them back on the shelves- Being Kaeor’s apartment it was like a second home to me, but I was still careful- The stuff here was practically mine, so I didn’t exactly want to be throwing plates around the place, don’t I?A cheerful smile would relay my optimism and faith with her.
His response to what I had said wasn’t exactly the loudest of answers that I had heard nor was it the longest, but it was short and sweet. If he hadn’t given that warm smile I surely would have thought ill of what he had said, probably thought of it more blunt than anything, really. However as he reassured me with that rarely-seen smile of his (Of course, rarely seen to others, I had seen enough smiles from him by now to last an entire lifetime) I’d give him one back, and watch as he slowly slinked out of the kitchen, my hands continuing to wash the dishes that had been used today. From breakfast bowls to the plates that we had just used I washed them all, and being quite proficient with washing dishes I did it in quite a productive manner, but I wasn’t the fastest- It would take me a few more minutes surely before I could even think of finishing up. It wasn’t as if I had eaten a lot today, I just liked using new plates and cutlery for each meal.
My hands bathed in the now slightly grotty water that I was washing the dishes in- I wasn’t fond of the feeling, but someone had to do it, right? Looking around the place I’d remind myself to tidy the place up a bit before I’d go to sleep- I’d been here for at least a further week or so, so it was almost time to go back to my family, and being the lovely person that I was I didn’t like leaving things in a tip, so I’d probably clean the place for a while tomorrow whilst Kaeor was out working- Yeah, that was probably a good idea. Nodding my head slightly at this plan for tomorrow afternoon, I’d keep washing, the mound of plates and dishes that had once been in the sink now drying and more importantly shining from having been cleaned on the drying board. Taking the plug out of the sink I’d then let the water run down, as I’d grab a towel, gently patting my hands dry. In the middle of doing this, I’d hear a much too similar voice calling-"Hey Areru, will you lay with me?"
Of course, I couldn’t not follow him- the patter of my feet moving across the tiles I’d then put the towel back and turn my gaze back towards his milky white eyes-”Of course.” Such ones I couldn’t exactly get tired of seeing, nor his silver hair which tumbled gracefully down the sides of his head- Long hair had always suited him- I could never really imagine him with hair any shorter- And if I was to be really selfish, I wouldn’t have asked for him any other way. Giving him a small smile I’d then nod again, a habit I’d developed over the past few months, as I’d soon lead the way in to the bedroom itself after finishing the dishes, unknown if he was going to pursue my form or not. As I was barefoot right now, having spent most of the day in the house, I’d then hop on my side and stretch my form out slightly, my head landing softly against the pillow- We weren’t rich- That was for sure, but everything here was nice. Closing my eyes for a few moments, I’d wait for his presence to grace the room, my long black hair overwhelming the white pillow beneath my head.
