I was stalking my opponent in the clearing as cautiously as possible. My position, seemingly to the left and twenty meters from his position; as well as 35 meters up. Yet I observed as he looked up and then around his presence. The way he looked in my direction, did he really know where I was? Adrenaline began to flow through my form as I observed carefully. When he reached up his arm, I instantly proceeded to form handseals, three to be precise before expertly connecting it to an additional three handseals. 1)
After which the treetops around me in a ten meter radius would proceed to be shrouded by a very thick mist. It was a mist so strong that it could even block out many doujutsu and while I wasn't one hundred percent certain about my opponent and his potential occular prowress, I didn't want to take any chances. Why? I felt my position had been compromised in some way and thus I needed to make tracks. I'd proceed to move along some branches that would be coveted both with the thick mist and the leaves from the branches. I'd make my way to adjacent trees, aiming to close the gap between me and the stranger below. Once I reconvened position, just along the outskirts of the mist, I would now be fifteen meters and towards his back side. Glancing ahead, I noticed that a tree was attacked and cut. I didn't see what happened or if he used a weapon or some sort of jutsu, which made me even more worried. Thus my form would proceed to unleash chakra into the air, causing a black mist to envelop within the tree tops approximately ten meters outwards. It wouldn't quite reach my opposition due to him being fifteen meters ahead of me but that wasn't my immediate aim.
No my immediate aim was to cover the tree tops with the black. It would also proceed to blot out the sun in that area, giving me a total stretch of tweenty meters coverage of our 35 x 35 vicinity. As for myself, I'd proceed to head back into the normal mist to hide myself for now. There were more things I needed to prepare for this little escapade.
____________________________1. Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique)
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary / Suiton Ninjutsu
Range: 0 -10 meters
Special: Fills a large, 10 meter area with mist as long as the user keep the technique flowing. Each time retrained, area of mist expands by 10 more meters. Mist blocks out all doujutsu requiring clear visibility.
Description: Though very basic, the Hidden Mist Technique allows for the stealthier side of combat to rule. After forming a few simple handseals, the user causes the area surrounding their target to be covered in fog. The low visibility allows the ninja to silently and secretly assassinate their target, as they can move unseen, and if careful, unheard.
Domain: Suiton.
2. Black Clouds Technique (Kokuun no Jutsu)
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary / Suiton Ninjutsu
Range: See special!
Chakra: Low
Special: Oil automatically raises offensive Katon and Raiton jutsu by a single rank. Highly combustible, it rains down upon the general area of the target, making it easy to create large fires.
Description: One of the many advantages of Suiton is its ability to assist other elements in their power. In this case, the user summons forth flammable oil so that they can use this in conjunction with other jutsu. After forming the necessary hand seals, a black mist will emit from the user’s body and will rise into the sky. In the next turn, black clouds will form, releasing an intense, heavy flammable rain of oil onto one’s targets.
Domain: Suiton.
