I stood there quietly taking in this moment with the gentle Sansutomu directly in front of me. She had no qualms against me cooking dinner for her later that night as expected, so I joyfully nodded in agreement to her words. She followed up her comments with a few eye rubs and other things that didn't catch my be surprise since I knew she was still trying to focus. Words couldn't sum up anything that I could say right now. I viewed her almost like art, the disorderly nature being the theme that I thought looked the best about these circumstances."Stay."
The statement was short, sweet, and believable. There was nothing else or more that I could have wanted from her speech right then and there. Obediently I listened to her and didn't wander from the kitchen and out the front door to allow her to return to catnapping. She slowly began to figure out what was going on more clearly. And then for once she even made slight conversation about the pursuit of a profession. It was surprising since I had already considered her the "lazy-esque" type. But ryo could even make the laziest woman go and labor for a few hours. It really wasn't hard and time went by fast.
"Really now? You don't absolutely have too. I mean when I become Jounin I should be making enough for the both of us." The comment was a rather teasing, implying that Areru would remain a chuunin for ever or a housewife. But even I knew that wasn't the case. Behind these delusional sleepy eyes was a beast ready and waiting to tackle the world - once she woke up of course. I used to wonder about what the difference between being with a citizen and a shinobi would be. Honestly, the relationship with the shinobi was more appeasing seeing as i was sure we would be able to journey together and I knew that she had some sort of defense against attackers.
But then she rose from her chair and made her way towards me once more. I wasn't sure what she was doing and stepped aside from the refrigerator. Maybe she wanted something to drink now? However, her direction didn't waver from myself and her arms would wrap around my neck. Instinctively my hands would fall around her waist before she finally caught notice of the patch that was on the right side of my neck. With a questions and a kiss, I had been rendered incapable to predict her actions. She had taken my joke earlier in a more serious fashion, not that I didn't mind of course with the cheshire grin that formed on my face.
"Take it off. I think it's about time." I answered knowing the small cursive name that was behind the patch. All that I awaited now was her reaction to it all.
