The guard donned a pair of old gasses and peered down at the scroll inspecting the map. "Hmmmm. Well it's mostly accurate but there are a few things that should be noted. Nothing out of the ordinary but just a few wear and tear parts of the wall showing weakness. If you have a pen I can save you kids sometime and draw them in right now for you."
"That would be fantastic!" Yui chimed eagerly handing over a pen she pulled out of her pack. With that the guard took the map in his hands and carefully reviewed it, making notes of interest as well as a few sketches even detailing what repairs might look like and supplies needed. All the while Yui rocked back and forth on her feet from heel to toe and back again. This was saving a lot of time for the pair. She could hardly imagine if she had to walk the entire wall looking for anything she thought was worth mentioning.
He had soon completed his notes on the map and beamed happily as he handed it back over to Yui. "That's everything I can think of off hand. If it's not up to standards though you can tell the Kage he can take it up with me himself. I should get going back to work, now. Not that there's anything to do until we get a little more serious as a village."
"Well again, thanks for everything! I'm sure your notes are far more accurate than anything we would've found."
Ichi also thanked the man and recommended their next destination should be the Kage Tower. It made sense, since the kage tower was the hub of the village both in command but also it served as the command center controlling the traffic lights, defense systems, and most other technology in the city. No sooner though had he finished his suggestion before he darted off towards the tower, even throwing in a friendly jab at Yui to keep up.
"You're not going to get rid of me that easily!"
She smiled and bounded after him watching the directions he took to make sure they both knew where they were going. He descended to the streets below now and soon they were running along the streets. It was brilliant logic. The rooftops were the easiest way to travel, but a street view offered another dimension of perspective to their scouting that they would be able to detail in their report. She only hoped he knew where he was going, because down here she had no idea where anything was...
