The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
Hey! I'm new 8( I was just trying to get EXP before role-playing with other people because I only started with 250 and everyone else was waltzing around with their 1k+. Most of the threads in Kiri were mission threads as well that were closed... The reason why I retired and wanted to join Iwa was because the Kage had been killed and it looked as though a lot of good IC stuff would happen there so that I actually could RP with other people 8( If you accept I'll come to Konoha and RP with you

Kouguchi Bakuha (Evil Hand-Mouth Possession)325 Rank:D, C, B, A, S Type: Supplementary / Special Bloodline Technique / Ninjutsu Range: Self Handseals: No. Chakra: Low Special: Determines the power placed behind the clan member's clay explosions when a hand-mouth is molding clay in preparation for an explosion, as well as the range the bombs can travel away from the user before automatically detonation; explosion range varies by technique. When first learned, bombs can travel up to 10 meters away, plus 10 more with each new rank acquired. Description: Said to be the clan member's most gross yet most fundamental power, the ability to control one's hand-mouths is the key towards victory or defeat on the battlefield. With the hand-mouth open and ready for clay, the user learns to feed it and near-instantly send their Bakuton chakra into their creation, carried by how well they can control Blast chakra. However, after a second or so, the hand-mouth spits out the user's full representation of explosive power within their clay creation, allowing the Kibaku-Nendo to proceed further with other clan techniques. As for detonation? Through the simple formation of 'Katsu' - the single seal that symbolizes standard explosive note blasts everywhere. Domain: Kibaku-Nendo.
Kibaku Iritsuku (Clay Infusion Point)325 Rank:D, C, B, A, S Type: Passive / Special Bloodline Technique / Ninjutsu Range: Self Chakra: -- Special: Determines the speed at which the Kibaku-Nendo creates their explosive clay. When attempting to mold a creation of clay ranked higher than the user's highest rank in this technique, a creation time penalty is incurred in the form of a single turn for every rank the creation is above the user's highest 'Clay Infusion Point'.
'D' - 3 turns 'C' - 2 turns 'B' - 1 turn 'A' - Half of a turn 'S' - 1/4th of a turn
Description: Though it is crucial the clan member awakens their hand-mouth in order to even have a shot at mastering the Kibaku-Nendo clan techniques, with time and practice, they can get faster and faster at making their explosions, regardless of the clay's size, shape, or rank of explosion. In the end, once the mouth grows comfortable chewing on a certain piece of ranked clay, it will surely create the next one in less time! Domain: Kibaku-Nendo. Kouguchi Bakuha.
Kibaku-Nendo • C1 "Shī Wan" (Exploding Clay • C1)325 Rank:D, C, B, A, S Type: Offensive / Special Bloodline Technique / Ninjutsu Range: See special! Handseals: No. Chakra: Mid Special: Creates small bombs for short-range and/or quick combat. Explosive power and distance that creations can travel is determined by the user's highest 'Kouguchi Bakuha' rank; creation time is determined by the user's highest 'Kibaku Iritsuku' rank. When first learned, up to 2 small bombs could be created from a single clay use; each rank above 'D' adds 2 more bombs created per clay use each time. C1 explosions cover a 5 meter radius. Requires 1 standard clay blob. Description: Simple but deadly, this effective combat technique allows the clan member to use their clay to fashion creatures and animals capable of bearing their unique Bakuton chakra. After withdrawing a bit of clay from their pouch, the clan member will use either hand-mouth in the palms of their hands in order to consume the it, in the process infusing it with Blast chakra. The result are these small animated clay-dolls that often resemble animals and insects of nature. Best of all? Depending upon which variation is created, they will retain the abilities of the creatures they where modelled after - i.e. those resembling birds can still fly, those resembling fish can still swim, those resembling insects can still crawl on surfaces, etc. Domain: Kibaku-Nendo. Kouguchi Bakuha. Kibaku Iritsuku.
Kibaku-Nendo • C1 "Shī Wan" Tora Nigeru (Exploding Clay • C1 Getaway Bird)50 Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Supplementary Range: See Special Handseals: No. Chakra/Stamina: Mid Special: Bird is two meters in wingspan. Only capable of sustaining the weight of one or two average sized people. Capable of flight. Explosion range of 5 meters in radius. Bomb can only move as far away from user as highest ranked 'Kouguchi Bakuha' known. Creation time is same as highest ranked 'Kibaku Iritsuku' known. Requires two standard clay blobs. Description: Molding clay into a tiny bird about the size of a C1 bomb, the user can then perform a special handseal to make the the bird expand into a size in which it can hold one or two people and sustain flight. Just like C1, the user can control where the bird moves, but what differs this bird from what's created in C2, is the size and the inability to do anything other than support the user for flight and explode. Domain: Kibaku-Nendo, Kibaku-Nendo • C1 "Shī Wan" 'C' Rank
Kibaku Nendo Bunshin (Exploding Clay Clone)100 Rank: B Type: Supplementary & Offensive / Special Bloodline Technique / Ninjutsu Range: See special! Handseals: No. Chakra: High Special: Clone's explosive power depends on their highest 'Kouguchi Bakuha' rank. Clone explosion covers 10 meters. Up to 1 clone can be made and kept active when first learned, plus 1 more each time retrained. Multiple clones can explode either simultaneous or in order; how it goes is up to the user - just keep in mind each explosion consumes chakra individually. Requires 5 standard clay blobs. Description: As its name implies, the Exploding Clay Clone is just that - a clone comprised of the clan member's famed clay, which, when infused within their hand-mouths with the power of Blast chakra, can be detonated. Additionally, should one's opponent become intertwined with the clone, they will be held in place and unable to maneuver due to the thick density of the clay. Because of this, this clone can take attacks and capture the enemy by taking them into its own body. The clone shows its natural shape the instant a body goes through. While the clay changes in hardness, the enemy is skilfully immobilized. How are they detonated? Through the classic 'Katsu!' that triggers all Kibaku-Nendo explosions. Domain: Kibaku-Nendo. Kouguchi Bakuha. Kibaku Iritsuku.
Nendo Keishiki (Clay Formation)150 Rank:C, B Type: Supplementary/Bloodline Technique/Ninjutsu Range: -- Handseals: No. Chakra: Mid Special: While time for a rock to turn into clay is forcibly shortened, process still takes a full two turns at 'C' Rank, and one turn at 'B' rank. The user must keep at least one hand on the rock at all times. A rock with a diameter of 30cm would be the equivalent of 1 blob of molding clay. Description: Clay is naturally made through long periods of time, which involve weathering away at rocks. For people who use clay for battle or crafting this can be a hassle to wait for. With this jutsu, the user can take any decent sized rock nearby about the size of their palm(or if they have a method of pulling a chunk of earth from the ground), they can use their chakra to speed up this process. Their chakra working miracles as the rock will wither away before their eyes, turning into clay. Once the process is done, it will possess the properties of any piece of clay naturally made. This can be conventional for Kibaku-Nendo members in need of clay. Domain: Kibaku-Nendo

NAME — Zaiaku. AGE — Sixteen. COUNTRY — Tsuchi no Kuni (Land of Earth). VILLAGE — Iwagakure no Sato (Hidden Stone). RANK — Genin. RELEASE(S) — Bakuton (Blast). BLOODLINE LIMIT — Kibaku-Nendo (Exploding Clay Deliverance). DIFFICULTY — Advanced. TYPES — Ninjutsu Taijutsu Genjutsu
[ PHYSICALITY. ]
HEIGHT — 175 cm. WEIGHT — 60 kg.
The first idea that people get from looking at Zaiaku is that they believe he is a girl. This is in fact incorrect, and will often generate a heated rampage by the very offended Zaiaku. He carries various feminine characteristics; smooth skin, long hair, soft lips, a slender body frame and of course the makeup. The reasoning behind this is that in his family lineage there was once a member of the Yukina Clan that had married into his family. Her DNA brought the unique bloodline trait where the males of the family grew without the development of masculine features and thus were believed to be women. It is just believed that Zaiaku ended up with the wrong-end of the genes and received this feminine trait, something that he is never too pleased about.
He has soft porcelain skin and although spends a lot of time out in the sun in the fields of Iwagakure, his skin never seems to tint to a browner shade. He does tend to get burnt quite easily; often using his black hair to cover his face, ears and neck region from the harsh rays of the sun, and often wearing long clothing to add even more protection. He has no major scarring on the surface of his skin, other than a few grazes from when he was younger caused by kunai accidents and the occasional tripping over. However, another very unique trait that Zaiaku holds is that he has a hand-mouth in the palm of his left hand. This, used in combination with various bloodline limit techniques and his 'explosive' personality, can bring out the inner flare within him. As he is right-handed, he will often keep his left hand in his pocket or wear a glove over it to hide the fact that there is a mouth in his palm - which isn't really something to be considered 'normal'.
He has an average body size for his age, standing at 175 centimetres and weighing in around 60 kilograms. Although he possess these feminine traits, it hasn't seemed to affect his height so much as statistically males grow taller than females on average. However, he does have a very fast metabolism that can cause his food digestion rate to accelerate very quickly and thus make him quite slim. He is known to exercise quite a bit, trying to keep his body in a fit shape in order to perform well in his various tasks as a shinobi. He believes that already his feminine features cause him to be looked down upon by other shinobi, thus aiming to keep his fitness levels and body shape in top condition to be prepared for any strenuous activities that he may be involved in.
As described before, his facial features resemble closely to that of a female. His eyes are quite narrow and are outlined with blue mascara to accentuate their definition. Makeup is a preference of Zaiaku as he does not believe it is restricted only to females to wear. His usage of it is for the purpose of defining the glare in his eyes and he uses it as a sort of 'battle art'. It is a very unique blue, drawing the attention immediately of anyone who looks at him directly. Around his eyes is the only area where he wears makeup. His hair is very long flowing and is the shade of blonde. He brushes it down one side of his face and clears it away from his other eye. He prefers it to be out of his face, a look that he has picked up across the years and has grown to maintain it every time he gets his hair cut. It extends down to the very back of his neck.
Zaiaku is the type of person that doesn't attempt to make any fashion statements with the type of clothing he wears. He tries to keep it fairly plain and simple, only wearing what he needs to wear and nothing more. Although gifted with feminine bodily characteristics, he despises the idea of shopping for clothes and finds it a complete waste of time and ryō. Zaiaku tries to wear clothing that suits his personality. He is rather quiet and calm sometimes, yet explosive and aggressive when pissed off. Thus at times he will wear dark blacks and greys to resemble his serious side in combination with vibrant reds, oranges and yellows to accentuate his rampant inner nature.
On his torso he wears a long-sleeved black cotton shirt that is quite loose around his neck. The sleeves extend on both sides down to either hand and hang loosely onto his palms, oven covering half of his thumbs when he keeps his arms hung by his side. The loose collar around the neck provides view of his upper pectorals where they meet up in the centre of his chest, revealing his collar bones however cutting off to prevent view of his lower chest. The front of the shirt remains clear with no symbols or markings on it, where as on the outer arm he has the kanji for 'bomb' in a maroon colour. On his back he has the symbol of his clan in the same coloured writing as on the arms of the shirt. The shirt extends past his waist and finishes just covering the groin area.
Around his waist he wears a cream belt which holds his pants up as well as a single small bag attached to the left hip which holds the moulding clay required for his jutsu. The belt is often unseen however due to his shirt hanging quite loosely over the waist area. His pants slightly resembles the same colour of the belt, however are more coffee coloured and thus a slightly darker shade. They are quite tight on his legs, accentuating the muscle tone of his legs and extend to the 3/4 way down his lower leg. The pants are completely clear of any images/logos in contrast to his shirt. As the pants end 3/4 of the way down, dark black leggings extend down the rest of the way until they wrap around his ankles and under the curves on the bottom of both feet. On his feet he wears the standard shinobi sandals however in a maroon colour (the same colour as the symbols on his shirt.
Around his forehead is the shinobi forehead protector headband with the symbol of the Hidden Stone engraved upon the metal. It sits directly over his forehead and is wrapped around his head by a black headband. The headband is often concealed though, covered by his long hair and even blending in with the colour of his hair. The metallic protector is in top condition with no distinctive markings on the metal - yet. He does wear the village symbol with pride and holds the headband in high regard, considering it a very important piece of his apparel. If he was ever to lose it, he would become extremely infuriated and very large explosions would follow after.
[ COGNITION. ]
ALLEGIANCE — Himself and the Tsuchikage. ALIGNMENT — True neutral. TENDENCIES — Sudden outbursts of rage.
THE FLOATER — Although aligned to the Hidden Stone and it's people, Zaiaku is a true floater. His allegiance could change in an instant when threatened with his life or if he begins to admire someone else and their qualities over his current superiors. This is a deep down quality that expresses Zaiaku's true nature, however is never shown on the surface. He will often come across as very patriotic toward his current village and strike down, physically or verbally, anyone who offends his village or the people within it. Some could say that the characteristic of being a 'floater' resembles that of a coward, where as Zaiaku views it as being smart. After all, what good is honour to the dead? Zaiaku is the type of person that places himself first over others, even though shinobi should be selfless and strive toward the greater good of their village and it's people. This trait foreshadows the fact that Zaiaku could one day betray the ones he is supposed to save, simply to guarantee the safety of his own life first.
THE CALM — Often, Zaiaku is a very calm teenager that tries not to get worked up over many things. He will try to lead a carefree life and simply go about his own way by himself. He is fairly stable when he is around friendly people who don't try to piss him off. He can be a very easygoing and nice guy, cracking jokes here and there and not afraid to have a laugh. He is also not very motivated when it comes to performing tasks or having some sort of assignment to do, often being very laid back about it and delaying performing it until he actually has to. The main things he likes to do in order to keep him in this state is to just simply sit outside in an empty field, under the shade of a tree of course to protect him from the sun, and mould his clay into small shapes and figures. He finds it very relaxing and admires good art, especially when he's personally created it. Another thing he enjoys doing is resting. Nothing will make him happier than a day that consists of lying in bed and only having to get up for food and to go to the toilet. However, there is always a more darker side.
THE EXPLOSIVE — When Zaiaku is pissed off, he gets very pissed off. It often results in the destruction of various things including bits of earth, trees, abandoned huts, you name it. Anything that is around him at the time will be likely blown up as a result of Zaiaku's rage taking over. This is why the combination of his fury with his explosive clay is a very deadly mix. It is actually quite the contrast. One moment he would be quietly sitting there with no care in the world, and the next he would suddenly erupt like a volcano. Things that will often set him off include the fact that people refer to him as a female. When he notes the fact that a male has either complimented him on his beauty or wolf-whistled in his direction, he explodes. This is possibly as a result of being bullied at a younger age for not only having a mouth in his palm, but also looking like a girl. Another main thing that sets him off is that if someone offends one of the sculptures of clay that he makes. If they show their disprove for them, Zaiaku will take full offense and enter rage-mode on the person and the things around him. Some suggest to Zaiaku that he should attend an anger management class, but that just resulted in Zaiaku flipping off at them. As long as he is left alone and not offended, he will be fine.

With the sudden disappearance of the Mizukage, the beacon of light within the mist, many ninja grew anxious concerning the safety of the village and it's people. Yox had always been one to think for himself. He foresaw that the village was vulnerable to invasion now with the Mizukage's disappearance, thus he wasn't going to sit around and wait to be killed. He proceeded out of the village gates into the Land of Water. He would go somewhere in self-exile for awhile, training and developing his jutsu whilst waiting for a better time to return to the Hidden Mist Village.

Kirigakure no Jutsu (Hidden Mist Technique) Rank: D, D Type: Supplementary / Suiton Ninjutsu Range: 0 -10 meters Handseals: Yes. Chakra: Low to cast and sustain. Special: Fills a large, 10 meter area with mist as long as the user keep the technique flowing. Each time retrained, area of mist expands by 10 more meters to a maximum of 50 meters. The mist can be unsettled by a very strong wind based technique (for one post), though it will eventually return. Domain: Suiton.
As his right arm slotted back into place, he shoved it into the boys chest with the fishing rod slung over his shoulder. The boy was jolted back from the palm to the chest, sending him back a couple of feet and out of harms way from what was about to unfold. On the ground, 'Tomtom' looked up to Yox with a confused look across his face. He wondered who Yox was and why he had just knocked him one in the kidney. Winded, the boy heavily panted whilst holding the right side of his chest with both hands. Struggling onto his knees, he looked up to Yox above him and muttered out a few words. "What the hell was that for?"
Yox looked down to the boy with disgust. His tongue slithered from side to side around his mouth as his eyes remained fixed. "I am Yox, a ninja of the Hidden Mist. For your crimes against the people of Kawatonton, you have been sentenced to death. May your soul rot for eternity," Yox hissed down to the boy. The eyes of the boy widened as Yox spoke. He looked toward his waist, looking to the sign of the Hidden Mist branded on the metal headband. He struggled to rise up off the ground, but his injury and the assistance of Yox's foot held him down on his knees. He continued to breathe heavily, though each breath growing larger and larger as he began to panic. There was nothing he could do.
Leaning his own head back, Yox placed his hand down his throat to grab the handle of his rapier. He always kept his primary weapon stored within his body and with the assistance of his bloodline limit, he could access it at any time. It was the perfect hiding spot. The rapier slid out, the tip shining as it was pulled from his throat. Yox held it into the air above him as the sun tinted off the moist blade. With a final look down at the struggling boy, Yox sliced the tip of the rapier across Tomtom's neck. The pierced flesh leaked blood as the boy dropped to the ground. Yox watched as the life was drained from the boys eyes as he faded to the ground. The pool of blood grew around him as his face planted on the dirt. The task had been finished before a third victim's life had been taken.
Yox turned his gaze back to the other boy. He slid the wiped the blood off his blade on his cloak before sliding it back down into his mouth. The boy looked as shocked as ever. His face had turned white since Tomtom had collapsed on the ground. "Don't be afraid. I wont hurt you. This boy has been killing many of your classmates from the past. Those who have hurt him, he has hurt them back now. His mind was delusional. It's time for you to leave," Yox enforced before looking back to the corpse. It had created such a mess, he really needed to work on his killing technique and prevent so much blood loss. It was a sickening sight. But now he had to clean it.
Ripping off the boys shirt, he wrapped it around the gash across his neck and hoped that it would trap most of the flow of blood for the time being. Yox lifted the boy over his shoulder and walked in the direction that the other boy had come in with his fishing rod. He would simply dump him in a river and let him float away. Death was a natural part of life. It was a shame it came so soon for this teenage boy. Yox thought about the rumours of the war that was coming to the Hidden Mist... there would be plenty more dead bodies to come.
Up above the sun was illuminating the shadows in the streets below. This large high rise building provided some good darkness to the area below it, especially when the sun was positioned behind it. By the late afternoon, this area became the spot for anything shifty to go down. Yox watched as a few dealings occurred below him. A few men approached each other, two of them separating and meeting as they shook hands. An obvious exchange of goods and ryo was made before the two groups separated. Yox was not concerned by this criminal activity, he was more concerned about the killer he had to find. He was still coming into realisation that the girl he had talked to this morning was now dead. He would avenge her, and the other dead girl.
Peering through the binoculars, Yox noticed a boy in his late teens approach the compound. He was rather shifty himself, looking around him as if someone was following him. Yox slipped his binoculars away back into his backpack. This boy was a little too suspicious, and because he was by himself, it made him top priority. The boy pulled a shoulder bag off himself and placed it on the ground below him. Yox stood up and shifted his body across the ledge, taking a closer look to the bag and its contents. Yox identified what looked to be some rope and a heavy metal pole. Squinting his eyes, Yox realised who this person was. It had to have been the killer. Who else would be carrying a bag filled with rope and a thick metal pole around in their bag? The obvious tools of a thug.
The boy continued to run his hands through his bag, appearing to make sure that everything was in it and that the rope was long enough. Perhaps another victim would come here, perhaps he was about to make another hit. Yox would continue watching the boy, he wouldn't let another person fall victim. Suddenly Yox could hear the whistling of someone coming closer. The voice sounded low even though the pitch of the whistle was high. Leaning back against the gray concrete wall of the factory, Yox watched from above as another boy in his late teens entered the scenario. He was walking down the street with what looked to be a fishing rod hanging over his left shoulder. As he approached the area closer to where the suspect was, he tilted his head as if he knew the guy.
"Hey," the boy with the rod said, "Tomtom. You're back in town? I haven't seen you in ages! Since primary school man. You've changed quite a bit now though. You've lost your glasses and bulked up a bit! Haha you look kinda scary now," the boy joked. Yox leant over the edge to take a closer look at 'Tomtom' who was now below him. Yox noticed the bag was open nearby but the pole seemed to be missing. It was then that he realised Tomtom was holding it behind his back as he spoke back to the boy.
"I'm glad you remember me, because I remember you. All the mean things you said to me when I was younger forced me to relocate to another town. What you did to me at school carried on at home. Now my parents are both dead... and you're to blame," Tomtom said as he paced closer to the boy with the rod. As he approached, the boy with the rod's face changed from quite a cheerful one to a rather sad one.
"I'm sorry for your loss," he said, "but we didn't know what we were doing back then. We were just young kids man, we didn't mean to hurt you like that! And I never meant any harm to your parents bro, I swear." Yox watched as Tomtom firmed the grip around the pole in his right hand. He had paced very close to the boy with the rod. It was obvious what was coming next. Yox had to act, and he had to act fast. Leaping off the building, Yox dove down through the air closer to the two. He channeled his chakra into his right arm as he mumbled to himself, "Way of the Snake". His right arm proceeded to jolt in front of him and stretch out to the body below. He caught Tomtom with a fist in his kidney, thundering the boy to the side winded from the strike. In the process of falling, Tomtom also dropped the metal pole on the ground beside him. Yox then landed on the ground to see the other boy with the rod rather stunned as he stood there to witness everything unfold.
Yox leaped across the buildings with his golden hair flowing in the wind around him. He had to make it back to the girls home, and he had to make it fast. Any moment that boy would finish what he started. Any moment the deceased list could rise to two. With his arms pivoted straight behind his body, he aerodynamically flew through the air whilst pushing off the various rooftops below him. He hoped that he wouldn't fall, any minor delays could result in the death of the girl.
He could finally see the house come into view as he headed closer. The window was wide open. Perhaps he was too late? Leaping across the final building, Yox landed on the roof below the window. Shifting his body up and into the room, he rolled inward and withdrew a kunai from his leg holster at the ready. He quickly peered around him, studying the room carefully just incase anyone was to suddenly jump out at him. It was clear, except for the bed.
The young girl lay there motionless. A knife was plunged in her chest. It seemed the job had been finished, and Yox was too late. He dug his own kunai back into his holster as the door barged open. It was the father who had finally caught up. He looked at the sight on the bed, the sight of his dead daughter. Tears began to flow from his eyes and down his cheeks as he silently paced to his daughters lifeless body and held her. She had been lucky the first time, not so much now. Yox hung his head to the ground as the father nursed his dead daughter. His golden hair flung over his face, concealing any minor emotions that his face made.
He had to track this guy down before it was too late. Many more victims would follow this girl. It was Yox's top priority to track him down and find him before more pain was inflicted on the parents in the village. Without speaking to the father, Yox leaped out the window and onto the roof beneath it. Rolling across its surface, he kicked up again and proceeded up to the rooftops. He would have to monitor that construction site like a hawk. That was the spot where the crimes went down, that was the only real lead he had. That and a brief image in his head of the guy when he was younger. No doubt he would've changed by now, especially if he had become a brutaliser.
He made his way back to the ledge that he had been seated on prior. Digging into the backpack on his back, he pulled out his set of binoculars that were inside. From there he held them to his eyes and looked around the streets below. He studied the faces of everyone that passed by, everyone that was even close to the scene. His determination to catch this creep had now risen tenfold with the death of the girl. How she had been so helpless and yet the boy did not stop there, how he had to finish the job. It made Yox slightly angered. But in a way Yox admired the boy. He finished the job he started. Something that Yox always believed was a good trait, but now he had seen it turned bad. Nevertheless, Yox would find this guy... and he would kill him.
He tugged his cloak around him as he exited the victims house. It was time to track down the murderer. At least he had some sort of lead now, and a vague idea of his appearance from an old photograph. He figured the best place to start looking was around the crime scene where the last event had taken place. If this was the perfect spot to strike, the culprit would definitely return there to carry out his bidding.
The town had grown much louder than it was prior to Yox going into the victims house. Stalls and street markets began to open around him, as more people packed into the streets for the purchase and sale of goods. Yox walked past various street stalls selling foods alike. He purchased a pork bun in exchange for a few coins before heading toward the district where the abandoned factory was. He would find a spot near the factory and wait– wait for the murderer to return.
He paced down a dirt road, exiting the busy district and heading off into a more quiet part of town. Many quiet houses were around him, and the street stalls had cut off a few miles back. If any environment was more perfect for a mugging, this was it. If someone screamed it was doubtful that anyone would hear it, and if they did... doubtful that anyone would actually come. Yox walked into a nearby alleyway, gripping onto a ladder that headed toward the roof of a house. Climbing up the ladder, Yox made his way up on top of a second story house. The perfect view was always from a good height. He could see the factory quite clearly, sticking out from the wooden houses like a sore thumb. Leaping across the rooftops, Yox made his way to the factory.
He leaped across the road from a rooftop, heading toward a ledge on the factory. The plan was to sit above and watch what occurred below. He would be like a silent snake. Watch from the tall grass, waiting. Patiently waiting for a guileless mouse to come closer and closer until– BANG, he would strike. Yox chewed on the rest of his pork bun as he watched the streets below. There was not much activity. A few passers now and then but no one who matched the appearance he remembered from the photograph. It seemed to be just an average slow day in Kawatonton.
Yox swung his legs back and forth as he sat atop the ledge of the building. He raised his chin upward, looking to the sky and admiring the clouds that were developing above him. It was a nice place. All of a sudden something drew his attention back to the streets. Loud footsteps and panting of an individual drew closer below as Yox watched from above. Soon the person began to shout out. "Hello! Mister, are you here? Ninja of the Mist. It's my daughter. As I was coming home from the markets when I saw him watching her from the rooftop opposite our house! We have to hurry back," the man shouted out into the air. He was unaware that Yox was perched above him. Nevertheless, Yox quickly leaped down to the man.
"I'll get there as soon as I can. I'll put at end to this mess," Yox hissed whilst slithering his tongue around. Without a response from the father, Yox took off through the streets. Kicking up from a nearby pile of dumpsters, he leaped back onto a roof and scaled the side of a house to the rooftops yet again. He knew exactly where he was going and it wasn't that far away. He just hoped that he would make it back in time.
"Could I have some alone time with your daughter?" Yox questioned the parents as his tongue habitually slithered around the outside of his mouth. His piercing glare frightened the couple, although the intent in his eyes proved to be that he would bring no harm to their child. So they left him. Alone in the room with the girl on the bed. She innocently looked back at Yox as he sat on a chair on the side of her bed. She had been brutally bashed and was still recovering. Yox tried his best to show that he meant no harm to her.
"I'll find who did this to you. But first I'll have to ask you a few questions. You're lucky to have escaped death. You weren't the first victim. I'll need you to tell me about the person, starting off with the basics. Tell me what you remember," Yox asked the girl as he drew out his own personal notepad and pen. He would write down the details as the girl spoke them to him. He needed some sort of image, some sort of description that he could go off. As for right now, he only had a blank page in front of him.
The injured girls gaze turned out to the window nearby her bed. She looked out as the sun glistened and brought life to the land outside. As she sat there quietly, Yox realised that it was still a very confronting subject for her to talk about. A near-death experience would shake up any individual. But after a moment of silence, she turned her head back to Yox and began to speak. "It was a boy. A boy from my past. A boy I remembered when I was younger. We used to tease him and at the time we believed it to be harmless–.. but now I've seen what he has become. I've seen now the effects on him. I suppose this is his revenge. The revenge of years of torment from us. The revenge that has taken the life of a girl I know, and almost mine. I regret what we did and said to him years ago, but I doubt he cares of that now. He lives for vengeance, and his personal justice. He's grown up now... but his mind is deranged. To think he would go this far. To think... he would kill someone. My old school book is over there on the shelf. Inside there will be a photo of him. I can tell you where he preys on his victims, where he attacked me."
Yox scribbled down the minor details as she worded them to him. Once she had finished, he picked himself up off the chair at her side and made his way over to the bookshelf in her room. He skimmed his right index finger along the assortment of book spines, reading the words that were vertical along the books. 'Year book'. Pulling the red scrapbook out from the shelf he made his way back to the girl and handed her the book. She then flicked her fingers through the pages, coming to a page at the back where a photograph of her class was pasted. She pointed to a feeble boy up the back. A feeble boy with glasses and ragged clothing. He was standing alone as the others in the class were smiling and embracing each other. This boy looked miserable.
"He doesn't look like this anymore. Though, I didn't recognise him at first. He dropped out of school after the boys and girls in our class teased him. I thought he moved to another village. But he's here now... and he means business. I doubt he is the same innocent child I knew from my days at school. Years of torment has changed his mind into something psychotic," she said whilst looking at the picture of her classmates.
"Tell me where you were attacked," Yox said to her whilst gazing at the photo and carefully studying the face of the boy. He had a good memory, he wouldn't need to take a photograph of this person with him. She responded to him whilst he studied the image. "Down by the old leather factory. It's abandoned now, but it's a shortcut to get home from the town centre. He got me when I wasn't looking. Luckily I didn't get knocked out like the other girl."
"I'll put an end to this guy," Yox hissed at her as he re-adjusted the chair after being seated on it. He gave a final nod to the girl, leaving her room and her house to the street. It was time to scout out the abandoned factory.
Murder in Kawatonton! Rank: C Ninja needed: 1-3 Mission info: A teenage girl was brutally murdered in Kawatonton, a town just north of Kirigakure. A second was brutalized, but escaped death. Find the killer and give him a dose of his own medicine.
As the sun rose over the eastern horizon, a new day dawned upon the Land of Water. People arose to perform their various daily rituals as the village was brought to life by the sun that consumed the night's darkness. However that one unique trait of the village remained: the mist. It was everywhere. It sort of provided the village with a 'spooky' feel, perfect for those who preferred to remain hidden.
Yox set out of the village gates with a new task today. A new day brought on a new mission to be completed for the Mizukage and the village. As he walked out of the large gray gates, he pulled out a scroll with the details of the mission. He read the contents whilst heading down a long dirt track through a rather dark forest. Today he was directed to the north, to the town of Kawatonton. It was a rather small town based outside of the village, however as it fell in the land controlled by the Water Land's Daimyo, the village and it's ninja were accustomed to lend assistance to this town whenever it was required. Recently there had been murders in the town, and it was Yox's job to get to the bottom of it.
The damp leaves, from the water molecules in the mist, rustled around him as the wind gently blew against them. It was a peaceful place, the Land of Water, but it had many unpleasant people within it. Even the ninja of the Mist were renown for their brutality and lust for battle and war. A nice juxtaposition. As Yox walked he wrapped his brown cloak around him, maintaining the warmth near this body whilst trudging along the path. He kept his eyes cautiously looking around him at the deep forest, careful of anything unexpected that would jump out suddenly.
As he closed in on the town, Yox could read the town banner on a wooden plaque above their small gates. He had finally reached his destination. The first place he would head would be the survivors house. He had to find some answers, he needed to catch a lead to track down whoever was responsible for these murders.
Knocking on the door to the house, Yox awaited a response from inside. As an elderly man and woman opened the door whilst clutching each other, Yox made it clear who he was by revealing the headband of the Mist that was wrapped around his waist. They nodded in response to him, leading him through their house and into their daughters room as she lay on the bed. Yox looked at her state and felt pity for her. She was a young girl that obviously couldn't defend herself. The person responsible would pay... with their life.
