[/blockquote][/blockquote]Yox slowly crept through the cellar. His feet creaking on the wooden floorboards; the orange light from the candles illuminated the room. He kept close to the walls, careful not to knock anything over to create any unexpected loud noises for the goons outside. He had two more to take care of. He stood against the corner of the door into the cellar, peering out from around the corner. He studied the two as they continued to sit there and gamble with each other. Obviously they would grow restless and wonder where their friend is. That would be when he would strike.
He was a snake. He concealed himself in the long grass and waited for the guileless rat to edge closer and closer. Slithering through the grass, he would study his prey from afar. When the right moment came - bang, he would strike. Patience was the key to success. Patience was the key to catching your prey. Those who rushed would make noise and scare the prey off. Creating the right mood to completely surprise your target. That was the way of the snake. Assassination from the shadows.
Yox moved back into the room. When someone came to check on the unconscious fellow, Yox wanted to have some sort of advantage. He edged toward each of the candles that illuminated the room in an orange glow. He blew each of them out consecutively, each of them blowing a puff of grey smoke into the air once the fire faded. The rooms orange vibrance now faded to the despair of black. It became the perfect environment for a silent assassination, the perfect environment for a snake. He slowly slid into the corner of the room, drawing a kunai and the remainder of his wire from the pouch on the back of his hip. Tying the end of the kunai with the string of wire, he quickly jolted it across the path of the doorway at around shin height. The kunai flew through the air and pierced the wooden wall on the other side of the room. The wire now extended from Yox past the entrance to the door. Somebody walking through the doorway, especially in this light, would have no chance in seeing the small wire. The trap had been laid. All that was needed was the helpless mouse to spring the trap.
Yox could hear a yell from outside. "Kaizoku! What the hell are you doing back there? You better not be drinking all the wine in there ha ha," one of the men called out as Yox froze in the room. He could hear one of the seats budge as someone paced across the courtyard toward the room, the footsteps growing louder each second. Now was the time to strike. Yox quickly removed another kunai from his pouch. He tied the end of the wire that he was holding onto on the end of that kunai. Quickly stabbing it into the wall behind him, each kunai braced the wire across the doorway. Yox readied himself nearby for the man to enter. Once the man tripped, the snake would strike.
From the shadows that enshrouded him, Yox noticed it was another one of the subordinates as he innocently walked into the doorway. Immediately tripping on the wire, the man was flown forward in the direction in which Yox was standing with his fist held back. In an instant, Yox send a flying punch directly into the mans temple. The jolt from the impact shocked through the mans head as he continued to fall to the ground. However this time as he fell, he was no longer conscious. Thud. Yox did not catch him in time. The sound echoed through the room and out the door. Yox could hear the sound of blades being scratched against the ground as they were lifted into the air. It was now one versus one.
Yox leaped out of the doorway, tugging the wire holding the kunai with him and ripping them out of the wall. He headed out into the courtyard to greet the man in the business suit, now standing there with both blades drawn. "You're the red-headed punk that's been messing with my crew eh? I'm guessing you haven't heard of me... they call me Hiruken the Horrific and I'm about to show you why," he grinned whilst grinding the two cleavers in his hands together.
Yox eyed them carefully. He had to play it safe. Although this man wasn't a ninja, he was still a high levelled threat. This wasn't one of the training dummies from the academy, this wasn't a twelve year old academy student, this was a real life criminal who knew how to use his weapons. The best way to beat the non-ninja was to use the ninja tricks. He tucked the two kunai into his waist pocket. Flicking his hands into a seal, Yox flared his chakra around his body. "Water Style: Water Clone Technique."
