Kouhei was rather surprised when his sudden appearance had momentarily shocked the woman he had approached in the chateau. From her garb the woman seemed to be an attendant or maid which didn’t exactly support his reasoning for assuming he wouldn’t surprise her. However, the Genin wondered if there shouldn’t be some sort of unwritten rule about what sort of person was allowed to work for someone as prestigious as a Kage. The young man had figured that given the obvious dangers that might surround the Tsuchikage just about every attendant and their mother would be thoroughly trained in one aspect of fighting or another. Perhaps his fantasies about ninja maids were just a figment of the imagination of a still naïve man.

Kouhei had the grace to look embarrassed over the fact that he had so thoroughly snuck up on her and was about to offer his apologies for showing up the way he had, but something told him better to answer her question first. For a moment Kouhei pondered on just what he was going to do. He could certainly have addressed his concerns about a mission to the maid, but he didn’t know how qualified she was to handle that sort of problem. Was she an assistant as well as an attendant? The Genin was in the midst of trying to think of what he wanted the next words coming out of his mouth to be when there was a sudden intrusion.

Suffice to Kouhei had his own moment of surprise and alarm as the other man strode into the office, cocksure, and made his way right over to the woman asking for the Kage. The shinobi had a moment to stare at the dog, envious that his own creations could not follow him around so effortless without the threat of exploding, before snapping back to reality. Kouhei cleared his throat trying to get everyone’s focus back on to him and smiled at the newcomer. He wasn’t sure who the other man was, but he looked rather interesting and he had a dog! He read once that dog was man’s best friend. Which could mean that this other man was looking for a best friend; maybe Kouhei could fill that role?

When the Genin felt confident that everyone in the room was now paying him attention once more he finally gathered the courage to speak, ”Sorry to bother, but I’m afraid I was here first. However, it seems both of us are out of luck because Tsuchikage doesn’t seem to be in.” Feeling that he had properly addressed the intruder he turned to the woman in the room and continued where they had left off, ”Do you know when the Tsuchikage will be returning? I was hoping to talk to her about the possibility of a mission? I have serious concerns about my underutilization and would like to have them addressed. I believe that a more difficult mission is in order for myself and since Josephine’s will not allow me the luxury of such without the Kage’s permission I find myself here. I just hope I am not interrupting anything important.” There, Kouhei had said as politely as he could manage. He really was eager to get into a mission, but he had read that being too pushy could ruin a friendship. Thus he was hoping to salvage any damage his demands could cost with the Tsuchikage by being as polite about it as possible.

Kouhei did his best to compose himself as he made his way into the chateau. The building was decorated in a fairly odd manner for a place that was designated as the office of the Kage, but then again the Genin had never seen another Kage’s office before so what did he really know about proper Kage décor? Although Kouhei had only met Coco briefly before it was obvious even to him that she had a very unique sense of flare. Her office expressed that personality quite nicely. Kouhei tried not to be distracted by the intricate pictures that lined the hallway towards the waiting room as he made his way further inside.

The young shinobi had been supporting the mission for some time now after graduating the Academy and although he was still doing his best with the D-Rank missions being offered to someone at his level he wanted to experience more. Despite worrying that his request might ruin any chances of befriending the Tsuchikage Kouhei had come to the office in hopes of requesting some sort of more challenging mission. The Genin wanted to do something that would inspire his artistic soul. Lately he had not felt the urge to perform his art and it saddened him greatly. What was the point of having such a gift if he could not find the inspiration to express it?

Kouhei entered a small guest room where a young woman, seemingly a member of the staff, seemed to be hard at work. The artist cleared his throat in order to get her attention, worried that he had broken social etiquette by not knocking at the door before entering. Kouhei smiled politely at the woman when she finally turned to regard him and tried to seem endearing as he said, ”Hello Miss. I’m really sorry for intruding like this. I know I don’t have an appointment or anything, but I was wondering if Miss Coco-sama was in at the moment and willing to see me? You can tell her that Kouhei humbly requests her audience if that wouldn’t be too much trouble.” The Genin tried to give a disarming smile as his gaze wandered across the room and the lavishing furniture that sat throughout it.

Any attack can be countered with the right preparation. Besides I wasn't arguing that the bombs are an effective weapon, but merely to your worry of a Kibaku-Nendo going around and blowing everything up. Given the restrictions of radius of blast and cost of jutsu one could fight an opponent, but they would run out of chakra long before being able to destroy a village per say. Now I know Deidara's fight with Gaara seemed that he could have, but given the length of the fight put into NRP terms he would have long run out of chakra before doing harm to a large portion of the city. Only jutsu that would risk severe harm to the user would have the sort of capacity.

Besides anything of that magnitude requires a fair mount of chakra. More than most would have unless they are spending the extra XP on it. The smallest amount of chakra used in a jutsu is Mid and those explosions only cover 5 meters per bomb. Any Jutsu that create explosions over 10 meters cost a Massive chakra so its doubtful that anyone will be able to use that more than once or twice in a fight any way.

The young Genin had a lot on his mind while demanding some sort of answer from the kunoichi. The shinobi wasn’t exactly some sort of genius, but even he knew that strategy was the key to any real victory. Even when confronted with a larger force a smaller one can be victorious if the right tactics are utilized at the right time. He couldn’t promise that knowing what Rosario was capable of would make some sort of outstanding difference one way or another when the moment to fight came, but it wouldn’t hurt to know. If Kouhei’s actions could be modified even slightly to help cooperate with Rosario that would be enough to satisfy the young man’s curiosity. He felt a little bad asking like he had right before the gates of Kusagakure no Sato, but he didn’t have much choice. It was only out of a desire not to insult the other shinobi that he had refrained from asking sooner. Looking back on their trip thus far he realized that he should have asked when he had the best opportunity, at the chateau. If he had only asked her then after explaining his own abilities she would have been more inclined to answer. Kouhei could only hope that it wasn’t too late.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Kouhei’s fears would come to fruition. Kouhei’s eyes widened a little in surprise as Rosario merely smiled at him before dismissing the conversation for later and making her way towards the gates. In fact the young man was so taken back by the turn of the conversation that he had stopped moving for a minute and was no longer following her. His mind seemed to race as he contemplated why exactly she had not explained what she was capable of. It was possible that she had some sort of ability so dangerous that she couldn’t speak to it aloud, perhaps some sort of kinjutsu. Or maybe Rosario simply didn’t trust him yet. If her abilities were special like his own than she had all the reason in the world to fear telling him what she could do for the same reasons he had almost hesitated to tell her about his art. However, even then he had been hoping for some sort of answer. Despite all that he had had done to befriend her up to this point he couldn’t help, but be a little frustrated by her actions in that moment. The shinobi would get over it quickly enough, but it agitated him that he would be going into the situation without any knowledge of what she could do.

Kouhei shook his head fiercely trying to dislodge any bad thoughts about his Squad Leader. He was under her care it was not his job to question her decisions during this mission merely to follow them for as long as meant the success of the mission. Perhaps she would give him greater insight into her abilities later and simply wanted to get out from being in the open. Kouhei couldn’t be sure what her reasoning was behind refraining to tell him, but he wouldn’t find out what it was standing out in the middle of foreign country. The shinobi picked up the pace as he quickly made up the distance between himself and Rosario. This was not the time to start doubting his squad member. They would reach the gates and inform them that they were emissaries from Iwagakure no Sato. Hopefully they would not have to wait long before gaining entrance to the village. Perhaps while they waited she would tell him what he wanted to know.
