I had spoken to Kii, but in return he had simply chosen to ignore me, a look of utter hatred, a desire for pure vengeance covering up any sort of emotional response or connection that he could have made. I didn't like to see Kii like this. I was completely and utterly afraid for him, and I knew then that I had to stop him and get him away from this scene. From my comrade's condition, I knew that there stood the chance that I would be able to defeat him in combat as necessary, for his chakra-granted strength would be limited at the moment by his weakened condition.
Before he could even really begin to move away from me, I would gather what was likely to be the very last of my chakra and project it through the Titan. As the energy flowed through me, I resisted the urge to shudder, knowing that after this I would have literally nothing left with which to defend myself in case it was necessary, but if everything went well, perhaps I would be able to save more than one life. The Titan, a focal point for my Doton chakra, enhanced the strength of my techniques dramatically, at the cost of increased chakra. Coupled with the menacing aura that overwhelmed the area, this truly was my last ditch defense.
The Titan's other hand, the one that did not contain myself, curled into a fist and slammed into the ground, while at the same time its right leg came up and then hit the earth again. The chakra which I had projected through the Titan would spread out quickly and rapidly, covering the whole of 100 meters. The effect of that chakra was simple - a dramatic earthquake, powerful and unruly, would shake the foundations of everyone in the area, removing the footing of anyone who was caught off-guard, and practically everyone would be with their attentions focused elsewhere. The only person left unaffected would be me, who was now panting with exhaustion that only the supreme loss of chakra could grant. It was doubtful that even the Hachibi would be safe from the sudden Earthquaken assault - a state that would hopefully allow the golden haired shinobi an advantage and allow her to escape, should she be able to recover her footing on time.
I wouldn't waste any of my time, though. Immediately after the fist slammed the ground, it would shoot forward, attempting to grab Kii who was most likely affected by the jutsu. Should the attempted grabbing be successful, the fists would close tightly around him, not enough to truly injure but likely enough to cause intense pain giving the man's condition, and the golem would stand back to its proper height.
I yelled out to Kii in the hopes that he'd be able to hear me. "We're getting out of here. I'm taking you away. I refuse to lose you." And with that, the Titan would turn upon its heels and attempt to run the opposite direction of the Hachibi. Putting some more distance between us seems like a good idea.
