Special: Chakra required for redirecting Raiton jutsu is twice that of the attack being averted. Source of water used to redirect must be grounded.
Description: Raiton jutsu have always made Suiton users think twice prior to acting. A new concept was developed however, involving the redirection of lightning techniques by absorbing the energy with a source of water that’s grounded, effectively diverting the threat away. Such peace of mind comes at a cost however as double the energy must be expended to defend against such attacks while also requiring a ground external source of water. Despite Suition user’s efforts, this jutsu proves ineffective against A rank Raiton jutsu or higher. (Chakra booster masteries will increase the effectiveness of this technique, allowing it to defend against higher ranks. Chakra reduction masteries are not taken into consideration when calculating the amount of chakra expended by the opponent but are taken into consideration when defending.)

Kōshitsu Yari (Imperial Spears)

Special: Up to two spears may be initially created when learned. Additional retraining increases number of spears by two (capping out at ten). Formations involving greater than six spears increases chakra cost by one tier.
Description: After forming the hand seals the user is capable of quickly materializing spears of water from an appropriate source within range. These spears are single pointed and vary in size/length depending on the body of water used (not exceeding the dimensions of a typical spear) and may be used for various skewering purposes. Creations from this jutsu are not designed to be held but are instead fixated from their source.

Ame o Hōsan (Dissipating Rain)

Special: Lasts up to three turns. Additional B rank training increases duration by one turn. Chakra cost increases by one tier beyond the second retraining.
Description: The user expends a considerate amount of chakra upon forming the appropriate hand seals to induce a form of seemingly natural and moderate rain fall. By manipulating clouds in the air and condensing them together, water is forced to descend in the form of rain for several turns, affecting a 40 meter radius around the user. In doing so, atmospheric clouds that were available are expended and the jutsu may not be reused for the rest of the thread (unless these clouds are some how replaced). The duration of this jutsu is halved when used in extremely arid environments (such as deserts etc). Effects of the jutsu begin to manifest immediately, resulting in a moderate down pour.

Suichū kokyū (Underwater Breathing)

Description: After forming the appropriate hand seals the user and their comrades (if applicable) are able to breathe underwater for up to five minutes. In order to do so a thin coating of water is placed over each mouth, allowing filtration of dissolved oxygen for breathing purposes. This jutsu may be terminated prematurely if so desired (by the user).

REVAMP

Suijinheki (Water Encampment Wall)

Special: Water barrier blocks attacks of equal rank.
Description: Suijinheki is one of the most impressive Suiton jutsu, and one of the few actually able to defend the user indefinitely from danger. The user will first do a string of hand seals, length varying by rank, and then they proceed to blow out a jet of water from their mouth. This stream moves at high speeds, and after five meters or so from the user, begins to form itself to a size equal and greater to that of the incoming attack, allowing it to act as a water barrier. This jutsu may be used in combination with external sources of water and requires the same chakra input as before but is now capable of materializing from multiple vantage points at a much faster, seemingly instantaneous rate. (Chakra formerly needed to materialize water is now used for quicker manifestations.) When utilizing external sources of water, the jutsu takes on the form of a water wall rising to block incoming attacks rather than a mobile stream projected forward. Manipulation of external water sources must be within a range of the user. (Maximum range is determined by highest rank known (10 meters per rank) regardless of the rank used to defend.)

It was only till after the man had left had Hachirou returned to life. A breath of relief sounded as he’d shake his head sympathetically towards the shop keeper. Were all night shifts this chaotic? If so he couldn’t imagine such an occupation being pleasurable under any circumstance.

He’d remain seated till his meal was prepared. Despite having ordered to-go, the lad would consume his food quietly within the folds of the noodle stand. After all, his primary reason for wanting to leave had already departed – right?

It was as he dove into the steaming bowl of noodles that he had begun to ponder more so upon the foreigner’s words. The stranger had mentioned traveling to the Land of Mist. Perhaps it would be in his own best interest to go the opposite direction… or further away from that man in general. Though it might be an initially over reactive thought, the more consideration Hachirou put into this the better an idea it became.

Taking his sweet time with the meal to allow the man a decent head start, he’d paid the owner and take his own leave towards the city gates.

… Uhhh what? He’d stare even more blankly at the man than before, unable to decide if whether a look of disbelief or disgust was more appropriate. Whether the stranger was serious or not was a separate unimportant matter. What truly mattered was that this man was behaving rather inappropriately – even with accordance to the most outlandish of social customs. The foreigner was clearly disturbed in some manner.

''I'm curious, vhat is it that you do? Are you a warrior? A sief? Vhat?"

He wouldn’t privilege him with an answer. Perhaps if the lad remained still and feigned death then the ignorant beast would lose interest of its prey.

''Or maybe a scavenger and ''sicko" like me, eh? Vhen vas zhe last time you dug a knife into somebody as you climaxed? Zhough I vas missing zhe secondary penetration, I just got done doing zhis. And let me tell you.. zhe feeling doesn't lose its sveetness."

His brows furrowed as he’d slink more so towards the wall in disdain. Hachirou would motion towards the shop keeper yet again, this time uttering one very simple request.
