"He likes me. . .he likes me not. . ."
There I was, slacking off and playing silly love games when I was supposed to be patrolling Kaminari's cliffs. Surely there weren't any foreign threats to be found today so I took it upon myself to sit idly on a large stone and pick with flowers. If I remembered correctly, the one I had in hand was a rarity. Anemone. Strands of short, jet black hair fluttered against the breeze, its embrace being somewhat cool on the skin. "He. . .likes me?" The boy I couldn't help but think about was someone I was reluctant to tell anyone about - and I wouldn't dare share his name with the wind. We'd met each other not too long ago under strange circumstances but I guess that's how I always met my closest friends. As for my homeland, Kumogakure, I'd loyally served her for what had to be something like three months now. After a long period of being a nuke-nin, it was nice to settle down and meet good people. My captain, Goldie as I often called him, was one of such people. Still, I missed my old mate Kota-san - the wood user was an ally I thought I'd stand alongside until my last breath. I missed him dearly; oftentimes I stared up at the stars wondered if he was still alive to this day.
Yet, my musing would come to an end upon noticing another soul not far down the same road. My ocean eyes locked upon him - a cloaked figure approaching with unknown intentions. He too appeared to be a shinobi, as my mind immediately went to the first nearby weapon. The tanto on my spine wouldn't mind cutting skin, though I didn't reach for it just yet. I merely remained seated, petite frame up high on the boulder with legs dangling off the edge. My expression must have read curiosity as the strange male came closer to where I was. He must have had errands of his own as he surely walked with a purpose. As the hooded persona proceeded I thought to speak but it only came off as an inaudible whisper.
"Uhm, hey. . .there."
