I had almost expected after this exchange for Soratsu to change his mind about leaving for good, or rather, I at least had hoped he would have for Youka's sake. The pain in her eyes, the the feeling that traveled up her hand and into mine was unmistakable. It didn't seem that way though, not at all. He hadn't changed his mind and was still planning on leaving, bent on revenge for his sibling — I didn't really blame him despite not knowing what it was like to have had or lost a sibling myself.

The Nibi no Bakeneko is a daunting foe indeed, but what could we expect from a bijuu, regardless of how many tails it possesses? Shukaku has but one, and he demonstrated more than enough power to tear through our shinobi like toys.

"Any tailed beast is a menace. Its even more of a menace if we consider the power was placed in the hands of children."

We still had no idea who the Jinchuuruki of the Shukaku was here in our own village. Even though we had very few children none had shown any signs of any additional power like a bijuu would imbue. It was a problem, even more so considering there had been talk of the Bijuu awakening inside of some of the other jinchuuruki already, and providing them with the terrible power.

To see Youka hurt due to the situation hurt me so. I couldn't help but want to comfort her, but knew it would not be proper, at least not until he actually left. The reason by which he leaving was one I knew all to well. Revenge and hatred, the seeking of the rest of a restless soul. I was not in a position to tell him that it wouldn't make him feel any better, and that it wouldn't do anything to make Shiro come back. It was necessary for him to figure that out on his own.

It was amazing though, as I had never heard of anything of the like, Youka just allowing him to leave for all the time he needed. Again, I had never had any siblings myself and didn't quite understand the bond they shared, but leaving in such a way was. . treason. I knew that Youka would make sure no one would follow him, or bother him in his travels. She would not report him as an actual missing ninja at all.

"When you do come back I want to have already heard that you killed whoever killed Shiro."

After making Youka hurt so much, I couldn't forgive him otherwise.

Sou had been given a tough reprimanding by a high jonin shinobi for such brash behaviour. The majority of the week was... terrible. The jonin had took it into his own liberty to drive Sou into the ground. Quite litterally. This was not training, this was not experience.

It was simply- live from the attacks from the oncoming jonin. For a week. But other than that, he had been let off the hook.. and he was going to be watched closely regarding his actions. But nonetheless he was now standing to the kazekage residence, walking through- his each step giving a painful stab into his muscles. But his pace was never broken.

"Hello. I would like to see the Kazekage- I know the location of Kumogakure." It became more silent than it usually was, and eyes were on him. He would've released a smile... if he were a civilian. But he wasn't allowed such joy.

I didn't smile or blink, nor did my body even react in the slightest to her words. They didn't bring me happiness or glee either, no-- I remained completely blank and stoic, much like an inanimate statue. She had essentially said what I hoped and wanted her to say, but it still brought me nothing. "No, it's best if to everyone else I'm considered an enemy of Suna. The elders and the councils will consider you soft and use me leaving freely as another reason to try and limit your power." I mumbled, careful to keep my voice low in case anyone was passing by. "If that means declaring me nuke and a traitor, so be it.".

By the time I finished speaking Youka had already turned her back to me, and as a result of my eyes losing contact with her own, they averted to Asato's. "No doubt. Keep her safe, will you?" Despite having been just moments away from killing each other, I could almost sense a mutual respect building between us - if Youka could trust him so endearingly, I could as well. "I'll be sure to keep contact." With that, I turned back around and simply jumped off the ledge without hesitation. I knew if I stopped to think about what I was going to do, I'd most likely change my mind.

Nevertheless, I used both my feet and my hands to almost slide down the side of the Kazekage building, and once fully planted on the ground broke into a sprint towards to the village gate. I was careful to look at everything as I passed, not knowing exactly when I was going to be seeing them again.

The family received word about his information and they have sworn death to the news man. A threat was sent to him saying that in 3 days time, if he doesn't stop the news from spreading, they will come after him. Fearing for his life, the news man has asked if shinobi could come and protect him.

The Haunting in Suna

Mission Information: Recently there has been a series of reports of paranormal activity coming from the old estate down the road. A family had rented that place and claimed that they saw images of ghosts and dead people haunting the place and quickly they ran for cover and ran out of the house. Neighbors are moving out of their homes, terrified of the ghouls that reside within the estate. The landlord has asked that a shinobi or two come to investigate.
Special Information: Repeatable. As always with a mission of this rank, there is a chance of injury or death. Genin are permitted to take this mission, however, they are required to find a moderator to GM the process. Chuunin may simply roleplay it as normal.

The idea of declaring Soratsu a nuke nin—of having to eventually send shinobi after him in a futile attempt at taking his life—was one of the most revolting things Youka had ever heard. Even still, she nodded to the wall, silently assenting that he was correct ... the Council would be furious if she simply allowed him free reign without him having passed the Sannin test.

After a minute or two of complete silence in the room, she seemed to judge that her brother had indeed jumped from the window ledge to the village below. Now that he wasn't around to watch her she felt the sting of tears welling in her eyes yet again, but a glance at Asato steadied the urge. Now was not the time to be upset, as she still had business to attend to downstairs. "I had better go fetch the shinobi looking for me. You can stay in my office, if you want to ... I'll say you're my ANBU guard or something. It's okay if you want to leave, too." Crossing to him again, she leaned up and pressed a shaky kiss on his cheek before angling toward the door. It was still sealed, but a simple impress of the lock fixed that issue; off she went down to the main level.

"Hello. I would like to see the Kazekage- I know the location of Kumogakure."

Youka stopped dead in her tracks near the reception desk, blue eyes locked upon the Genin who so boldly spoke of having such knowledge in a public place. Yes, this was perhaps the safest building in Sunagakure no Sato, but that didn't mean there weren't enemies lurking in the shadows. The Council, for one; it was a good thing they had left long ago. "I am the Kazekage," she spoke up, striding closer to him with a friendly smile. "Why don't we go to my office and speak about this, alright?" Meanwhile, her gaze shifted about the room, looking for the other shinobi who had called for her. This one seemed to only recently have enetered the building— yes! There! "Ah. Atsui," she murmured, recognizing him from her various files. "You come with me, too."

Without another word to either of them she turned on her heel and headed straight back to the room she had left not long ago. Honestly, she wanted very much to change the location of her office ... this room housed a lot of bad memories now. Unfortunately, that was impossible. Grin and bear it Youka, grin and bear it.

Special Information: To complete this mission, 3 shinobi must take the mission with one another. 1 can be sent in to ask for the mission so long as they state the names of the other 2 members. Two Hidden Sand shinobi were recklessly fighting in the streets, each others life meaning nothing apparently. I don't know their names, but I memorized their appearances."

Sou knew of the Kazekage, and murmured Kazekage-Sama as she walked over. They quickly made room to her office. He would stand; until said otherwise. But he would allow the other shinobi, and once he had finished talking, allowed him to do the rest of his things. Sou did not feel comftable releasing vital information to another shinobi, not just yet. So when the man had finally left after Sou keeping quiet and his reasonably large patience waning he pulled out the World Map and handed it to the Kazekage carefully

"Lady Kazekage, I have the co-ordinates both of the direction and the exact whereabouts of Kumogakure no Sato and some information about it's gates. I made sure as to not wear a hitate, and gathered some intelligence about the gates. They are compromised of a double gate of Hard rock and Wood, 20 by 20 meters. Two guard towers on either side of the gates. Two sentries at the middle of the gates. I wasn't in range to see anything other than that as I wanted to keep my anonymity to a certain level. I have also marked the correct route on the maps through the mountains that take the safest route toward Kumogakure no Sato."

"Forgive me for not sparing any time Lady Kazekage-Sama. Do you wish to be else place? It seems... or seems anyway, that you are uncomftable."

The country is equipped with a coastline, but the water is filled with salt and thus not easily consumed. Therefore, caravans are sent out bi-weekly to the boarder countries to collect water from their rivers and lakes. Recently, a few of the caravans have been attacked on their trips—the people make it back safely, but the water does not. The Kazekage has asked a shinobi, or group of shinobi, to escort the caravan and make sure it returns to Sunagakure. Information about the attackers must also be gathered.

Youka's gaze lingered on Asato's retreating frame as he left, and then quickly turned back to the two shinobi she led into her office. This was not a friendly visit, it was business; as such, the Shodaime found herself sliding into the chair behind her desk and peering at them in a rather imperious manner, fingers steepled against her chin.

"Atsui, please, tell me your issue first," she commanded, head cocking curiously when he began his explanation. Two shinobi were fighting recklessly in the streets of Sunagakure? It was not an uncommon occurrence, but she was far from encouraging bloodshed amongst allies. Thoughts raced, formulated ideas about how best to go about handling the situation—a Kage Bunshin could easily be created and sent to their spot to put an end to the violence, for one. However, her eyes lit up when the elder of the two offenders was described, as it sounded like none other than Nirashi Cora. He was Jounin level, and to be roughhousing with a mere child didn't suit his character ... that is to say, she hardly thought he would actually go about murdering him. Nirashi was very loyal to the Sand.

"I know the shinobi of whom you speak," she replied slowly, so as not to offend him. She was truly grateful for his quick action, and especially impressed that he had not simply joined the fray himself in an attempt to stop it. It showed a maturity level she thought impossible in most cases; she admired him for it. It showed in the smile that curled at her lips. "I do not think one of my Jounin would kill a Genin, no matter how viciously they appeared to be fighting. In any other circumstance I would act on your information, but it won't be necessary now. Still, I thank you ... and I would appreciate it dearly if you continued to be this vigilant."

Really, Youka was far more interested in what the other young Genin had to offer her: the location of Kumogakure no Sato. Any intelligence on any hidden village was welcome, even though she had no plans to utilize it to harmful effect. She noticed that Sou looked rather uncomfortable in Atsui's presence, however; it was actually an endearing quality that he should be just as paranoid as she would have been. "Atsui will stay here while you give me your information, Sou. It is very advantageous that he is here, to be honest. I have something to ask him in regards to Kumogakure. So please, tell me what you know."

With the World Map handed over, the Shodaime pulled a piece of paper closer to herself over the mess of parchment that comprised her desktop, and snatched a pen from somewhere as well. The boy began to speak, and she took shorthand notes of the important pieces of information he gave her, namely what comprised the gates and their defenses. This was not completely relevant to her needs, but there was always a chance it could be useful in the future. Assuming, of course, her plans did not come to fruition. "This information is wonderful, and I applaud your bravery for retrieving it for us. That being said, I am aware you left Sunagakure without the proper permission for quite an extended period of time ... Under normal circumstances you would be punished for this. It's a good thing, too, that you weren't apprehended by any ANBU. Because you have brought me delicate intelligence—and I hear you have been thoroughly whipped into shape—" she grinned at him, "you are cleared of all charges."

The pen was set down gently and she pushed her chair back, if only to give her room enough to bend over and apparently root through something beneath her desk. There was the sound of metal against metal and a quiet squeak, and then a door shut. When she came back up, she was holding a small pouch that clinked when she handed it out to the boy. "Here, a 2,500 ryo reward for your troubles. You may leave now." When he finally took the money, she turned back to Atsui and breathed in deeply, as if preparing herself for the very worst.

"You are a courier ninja, as I recall? I need you to deliver a very special package to Kumogakure: myself. I want you to escort me there after memorizing the location on this map." She unfolded the one Sou had just given her, turning it so that Atsui could read it and lock the markings in his mind. "I want to propose an alliance with them ... You can understand, I think, that this is a very important job? Dangerous, in fact, but I think you can handle it. I trust you to protect me." She waited patiently for a response.

Locating Kumogakure

Mission Information: Someone once told that Kazekage that information is far more valuable than power; this piece of advice has been taken to heart. Thus was the mission extended out to all of Sunagakure no Sato's shinobi: search for the locations of the other hidden villages. Not only must one mark on a World Map the exact location of the gates, but gather data on the construction and defense. Avoid detection, and if spotted, return immediately via an alternate route. Do not give any hints as to which village you are from, and do not lead foreign ninja back to Kazi no Kuni. Avoid combat at all costs!
Special Information: Because finding a village and its gates requires that one completes a GMed search thread, characters who wish to take this mission must be Hard/Advanced difficulty. To find information about searches, refer to this thread. Genin may only take this mission on with the express permission of the Kazekage, but are otherwise not barred by normal rank requirements.

Walking into the Kage residence office I would hand in my report of the bandits that had attacked. They were skilled shinobi. Obviously trained by someone. They attacked us only to be stopped by one of there own. The caravan was safely delivered but it was a challenge either way.
